Hednesford Indoor Raceway B final - 11/04/24 - Touring car 17.5 Blinky. Xray X4 '24 Stafford RCMCC

Visiting Stafford RCMCC tonight at their indoor venue the Hednesford Indoor Raceway.
Practice went well, but upon inspection my Rush tyres didn't have a night's racing left in them so I opted to swap to a new set of Hudy's. The first round was a write off as I struggled on the new rubber. Second round went ok, but starting from the back and having more pace than those in front made it slightly harder than it needed to be, but managed to come home 2nd which gave me a clear track for round 3. I put an almost clean run in and provisionally went 6th overall leaving me at the back of the A final, but a late run from heat 6 saw me drop to BQ.
The start of the final went ok as I held onto the lead, but a small error opened the door and I was down to 2nd. The leader made a mistake coming onto the straight collecting me in the process dropping down to 4th. Onto the 2nd lap and some contact with another racer put me onto my roof and now half a lap down. I got the hammer down and managed to make it onto the podium. Not ideal, but that's racing.
