Gospelspeak #84: The Oracles of God

The Kingdom of God upon the Earth is based on a foundational principle of order. In order to exercise faith in the work of the Father, it is necessary to have one appointed to receive the Oracles (or prophecies) of God for the church. The organization of the Church evolved over time to include a Quorum of the First Presidency and a Quorum of Twelve Apostles; which are the leading Quorums of the Church. All the individuals serving in these Quorums are called of God; for as Christ said to his early Apostles: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. And, at the head is the chosen Prophet, known today as the President of the Church. Recall the words of Wilford Woodruff: The Lord will never permit me or any other man who stands as President of this Church to lead you astray. It is not in the programme. It is not in the mind of God.
