Gospelspeak #91: The Right Hand of God

In February of 1832, Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon were in the midst of the compiling the revised transcript of the Bible. The rendition given by Joseph of John 5:29, in reference to the resurrection, differs from the translation found in our current King James Version. In particular, there was the underlying question of the distinction between Heaven and Hell. The revelation we now have as Section 76 in the Doctrine and Covenants sheds significant light on the state of men and women in the afterlife; expounding doctrine which had been long held from the eyes of mankind, and providing added hope for all those who follow God's commandments. All of this is made possible by our Savior Jesus Christ who sits on the Right Hand of God.
