I like hearing about people's adventures getting into fpv probably more than watching flight videos =p A Mr Steele vid caught my eye and reminded me of skating too and I instantly knew I had to fly like that! Rad vid cheers =]

I've come into some money and I need a new hobby. Always loved aerial landscape shots.. and how it's basically ended the heli shot. Your tips were really informative, when I have a bit more free time I think I'll give it a shot. will try the sims
Good on you man. Mine started about 6 months later looking for a way to get some more creative photo and video on bike or hike trips. So obviously I bought a Mavic mini, then immediately to fpv.
Hi...I got into FPV for greater maneuverability than the camera drones, DJI digital system being so much better than analog, and NO GEO FENCING. I subscribed to your channel and watched your vid on crashes. After 1+ years of FPV I'm now crashing like a fool, and it's much more fun. These things can really take it, and we can repair. Up to now I was concerned that the DJI system would fail after a crash, and that's expensive, but nope it hangs right in there. Flying fpv over water scares the F out of me both for pilot error, and lost signal. I do fly over water, and man am I focused. I flew over water with the DJI camera drones regularly with no worries.
Yeah these things really can take a beating. At this point I only take it easy to be lazy. They can always be fixed right! Well, unless you take a dip into water. Haha Thanks for the sub!
Nice vid brother subd, so I'm guessing the woop you started off with would have been analog? I've been flying analog for the last 3 years maybe and everyone seams to be going digital and i am serously considering it, is it worth the money?
Yes I started on a analog whoop and my first 5 inch quads were analog too. I went digital within a few months because I got a great deal on craigslist a whole digital setup. I still fly analog occasionally, but it's not nearly as fun for me. Digital is much more immersive and it's way easier to see small branches. I don't really notice the latency unless there's a hiccup. If you're racing, it could be a problem.
Almost same story here, Except I started with toy drones back in 2015, Moved on to Hobby grade around pandemic, Been flying Digital ever since, Love CRSF and ExpressLRS, Edge TX now LOL Rip on Bro!!!
Yeah definitely agree. The caddx cherry even rivals the original DJI dual antennas. In this case, I was having some stuttering with the original DJI air unit. It's possible I need to update. Don't think I've updated that since 2020.
Fuck yea! Keep doing what your doing! Keep making videos and fuck all the hates because they only suck!! I enjoy your content and stay humble because I think thats what made me interested! Thanks bro
Yep hate that Stay Safe garbage .. love hearing stories how people got into the hobby... For me it was an old charpu video that got me into FPV and I started with a toy drone... The latrax alias .. quickly got a 5 inch from helipal ... Saving up for goggles and flying LOS... Lost it in top of mountain. . Then decided I needed to build a GPS drone so I wouldn't lose it .. Did that LOS for a while then converted it to FPV... Finally decided to try acro... Learned acro on that GPS drone and then built my first 5" in October 2016.... Never looked back
I'm so bad at LOS. I really should spend more time practicing it. And ouch! I wanted to fly so many mountains in Colorado the last few times I went, but I'm too afraid of losing a quad. Thinking about doing a GPS 7".
I ordered a Tango 2 for my first controller! Still waiting on it to arrive and then im gonna hit the sim for a bit! Hopefully the Tango 2 is a decent starter controller! What sim do you recommend??
I really like liftoff for its variety of levels. Physics are different in all sims, but drones feel different too, so I don’t think it’s a big deal. Happy flying!

Man digital was such a game changer. I'm still on the fence about using a separate receiver. You think it's worth trying?
