@joelouis99 I enjoy both lmao, I'm a variety gamer. And there's a lot of videos on yt that express how good kratos character was in the OG trilogy, while also appreciating his older version. Tactical bacon productions goes over both games really well.
@joelouis99 and again that's just more of a you thing, just because you don't enjoy cutscenes doesn't mean others do not. And I think it was time for a switch up due to the fact that there were 6 games with that same gameplay style.
I think the worst story piece in GOW Ragnarok, is the fact that Kratos was used by Faye to fulfill these prophecies. They spent the entire game talking about getting a different ending where Kratos survive and break the prophecy, but voilá, Faye has seen everything from the start and hid it in a mural. Once again, Kratos was manipulated into taking care of someone's else personal affairs, like in the original trilogy. What a great character "development"...
what the mural said was what faye thought would happen all the prophecies arent prophecies they are predictions.... based on every perspective it was said with the fates
promises or prediction, do you even understand what clairvoyance is? throughout the whole saga giants are portrayed as a race who can predict the future where do you even take the idea that it was a promise? promise and prophecy is not the same, the only promise that was made was to spread the ashes and that's it. Faye knew what could happened so she went against her people in way that she could manipulate the events. I agree Ragnarok isn't perfect and in my opinion it was rushed and there shouldve been two more games not just one, but for what it is I think it's a great story. Calling it overrated and then hating on it's just lazy and taking it personal, but that's what you haters do, you hate. You are also confusing character development with character interaction that is the interaction he had with Faye and nobody else at no point this prediction relates to kratos character arc yes her predictions afected kratos actions but to call "bad character" for the interaction by itself and encapsulate said character to said interaction only means you understand nothing about storytelling. Yes raganarok wasn't perfect and left some decent amount of things to be desired nor did it answered all the questions, it should have been two more games and it felt rushed but that doesn't mean that what we had was utter garbage or with terrible character development. If you want to make a valid critique make a valid and reasonable one, not something out of complete misunderstanding and out of ignorance.
This is very telling to the character, or lack there of, of who the people are that write this garbage. Anything that sweet baby inc. has their paws on is absolute garbage.

@@TheBigM.T Thats not my point, 7 hours of cutscenes in a 25 hours game that they charge you 70$ for is mediocre. I can accept cutscenes, but it doesnt have to take a fucking third of the game. Also, gameplay is almost if not identical to GoW 2018, same kind of fight and linear paths. Yes they did add good bosses a new spear weapon and some new attacks, but it doesn't justify the 70$ price
I remember loving cutscenes in video games back in the day because they were treated as a reward for your efforts and had a lot more work done on them despite the limitation of the system/technology at the time (FMV's) etc. Nowadays, it seems like cutscenes are a crutch to game developers to inflate the game's length and that's not even mentioning the artificial loading times that take away from the gameplay experience, example being holding down a button to move forward. I hate artificial game lengthers. Developers need to go back and play/watch what games truly are and that's the gameplay aspect of games, that why it's called gaming. Too much soulless filler.
I remember, i remember starcraft, warcraft 3, i used to love them, mi another frontiers wars, freespace, with all limits and limitation look amaizing, and these suppose modern high tech, looks like `plastic, and empty
Cutscenes in Silent Hill games were like a reward for going through hellish monster filled locations, you took a deep breath every time one happened. Now most games constantly take control away from me for 20 minutes at a time with cringe writing

Odin was a wasted opportunity. He manipulates people and uses the worst parts of them to exploit. Imagine if he managed to get kratos to really lose control. It would mean he failed himself and atreus would see the true nature of kratos, making him side with Odin like in the prophecy. This was the true stake of the story since 2018 and it has never been fully challenged.
I think that was the original idea for the story. But they went for the safest and most generic possible route for the story, where Kratos learns to let his son be nice and allows himself to get emasculated by everyone around him. This is not what God of War is about. It's always been a tragedy with Kratos being an incredibly flawed character whose actions directly or indirectly leads to destruction around him. If Kratos allowed himself to get used by Odin and in a rage was the who kills Brok by accident, turning Atreus against him, that would have been much more like classic GoW.
Kratos already went through that. And odin knew it. Which is why loki was his target from the start. And kratos almost kills his own son at the start of the second game and beats multiple gods up in front of him. He doesnt need to see kratos rage out to know he was wild boy in his past. He sees it in person lhh and if u been around since the very first gow then u would know kratos chilling and protecting his family IS his true nature. The only reason he raged out was because his family was taken from him. It just seems like yall wanted kratos to go crazy and that would kinda defeat the purpose of his character growing

im so glad that there is actually a community who doesn’t just take ragnarok for what it is and call it a masterpiece just because it’s the sequel. i actually think the story is fundamentally NOT god of war. “but he’s grown”, “character development” etc. the point is you can have BOTH. you can have meaningful development whilst still embodying the character that is KRATOS. you can’t just write him to have grown and call it a day. it’s consumer simple storytelling with a few “subversion of expectations” to call it good.
this comment is incomplete. can you elaborate on fundamentally not god of war, then what is? at what point in the game or games was he suddenly changedd 180 then nothing else happened? makes me believe that you just follow the original creators suggestion of making kratos a softie and that's it as if he was a one dimensiona chaacter which he never was not even in the orgianl thrilogy or any of the characters.
This re-imagining of Odin was one of the most disappointing things I ever witnessed. A frail, Poindexter who looks like he should be complaining about his job as an accountant, played by an actor who is only ever known for being pathetic, is one of the worst moves in video game history.
Its more like his clothing and character that are just very boring They managed to make one of the most mysterious and intersting entities in mythology to be very boring

I agree the gods in this game feel more like super-powered weirdos than actual Godly beings and the story is worse for it. It would be magnitudes more interesting to have kratos interact with the gods actually behaving like gods with all the story possibilities that brings than this Americanized version of them just being sort of shitty humans with powers. Odin being a snake oil salesman type for example just completely stops anyone from really taking him seriously honestly. It feels weak and lacking in substance.

Terrible characterization.

Idk if it's just a matter of lost balls per se. Western culture is currently extremely totalitarian and ruthlessly crushes any public opposition to American imperial ideology. "Having balls" isn't just about having people be mad at you. People lose jobs, future opportunities, access to banking and payment processing, and, at the extremes when all else fails, are subjected to surveillance and entrapment from political police. All of this in a social context where people are extremely atomized, dysfunctional, and have no communities to rely on for support.
Meh , synthetic man does well enough. He's got many 100k+ viewed videos and makes thousands per month in superchats alone. I don't think he'd be as popular if he was yet another channel that sat on the fence.
Man, if they killed Atreus, I think I'd call it game of the year. Just to have the balls to do something like that would be incredible, plus I think it would give us more insight to how Kratos felt killing his wife and daughter, as Atreus is a character we've spent a whole game getting to know.
Because it has been established throughout the entirety of 2018 and Ragnarok that there is nothing that matters more to Kratos now than protecting Atreus. Him killing Odin, knowing that it would put Atreus in extreme danger while he is out of his reach, would directly contradict this core facet of his character. Surprised I had to spell it out for you.
I made a comment, on another video, about this game criticizing the devs' poor portrayal of Kratos as "more powerful now than when he was younger". I almost immediately got a bunch of fanboys defending the devs about this. Many of the comments missed my point and were rambling about things that had little or nothing to do with my criticism. Arguing with such fanbases is usually a waste of time.

Here's something I don't understand, Freya at the end of the 1st game was trying her best to stop kratos from killing her son. In this new game Freya is the "leader of the valkyries" and she can beat the crap out of Kratos. Why didn't she turn into super Valkyrie lady and beat Kratos at the end of the 1st game?
Odin stopped her from being able to fight. Which is why she had to use the giant and could only restrain or block each of them. It was mentioned by Mimir in both games.
I'm not surprised to hear that zoomers think half of "every game" is cutscenes, dialogue and traversal. That's exactly the kind of goyslop they're inundated with.
I remember gems like Half-Life & Half-Life 2 that completely consisted of gameplay. Story was told through gameplay and there were no cutscenes in the modern interpretation. (Cut)scenes happened during gameplay. Or The Legend of Zelda, which tells its story through environmental storytelling (it does have cutscenes, varying from game to game). The "modern audience" (I hate this term by now) doesn't know what a game is. Especially Sony audience it seems.
I think the gaming community as a whole is in a state of denial regarding their favorite brands and franchises. I'm an Xbox guy and I recognize the massive lead Sony has in term of single player exclusives and I've seen same levels of blind fanboyism in games like Halo Infinite. I think the sad truth is that behind every rage induced comment is a fan disillusioned deep down, and they hold on to whatever piece of hope that makes the game they bought seem great when it isn't. If anyone attacks said product rhey feel attacked too because of much time they have invested at a personal level to the game/franchise/platform. I mean people are praising Halo Infinite for it's Forge modes release, forgetting the fact every game since Halo 3 had it at launch. Halo MCC w mods is way more entertaining than the most recent game in the series...let that sink in.
I agree, but most of the time they are getting attacked too. I think it's important to stick to the point of your criticism. Instead of saying, "I think this, and you are *insert insulting BS here* if you don't agree." I could give a f*ck less, if people don't like what I like. When you start making me have to defend who I am as a person because I do or don't like something, it becomes a whole different thing.

The fact that this game was suppose to be 2 separate games in order to make a trilogy but wasn’t done because they realised they would’ve spent around 15years on this trilogy as each game takes 5 years to develop so they just rushed the two games into one which meant they lost lots of planned scenes and development which explains where all the interesting conversations and nuances in the game went. The first 2 hours if this game was the best fighting Thor. After it all fell.
It's simple, I personally think Kratos is a less interesting character, and his "development" goes completely against what he was as a person in the first three games to the point he's just an uninteresting loser. If you don't think so, that's great. You're not going to change my mind that this interactive movie isn't a bore.
For my take I think Norse Kratos completely going against his previous characterization is literally meant to be the entire point. He no longer wants to be the ghost of Sparta, he regrets letting his rage control him so much and wants to move pass this. And his whole character arc is him struggling not to fall down that dark pit again of god slaughter and rage. This can very easily be seen on 2018 with him holding back his rage whenever he can, and warning Atreus to not follow the same path he went down. And in ragnorock he constantly tries to avoid war whenever he can because again, he doesn’t want to kill another pantheon if he doesn’t have to. And in the Valhalla dlc it really makes it clear he regretted what he did in Greece and kinda just wants to retire his godhood in a way.
The fact that the guy responding to the previous video unironically suggest to watch all the cutscenes from Ragnarok to "experience the game" is so hilarious and even further proves the point of Sony games being one big cinematic movies.

Sara Connor, Ripley, Single mother's who raise their children and still manage to make them decent human beings that's strong females. Men don't hate strong women, because men were raised by strong women, what men hate is women pretending to be strong.
Well said. Also, i hate how writers nowadays seem too scared to actually make women characters struggle. They always just make them amazing at everything. Male or female, that crap is lame. If your character is a God-level threat, then either just make them a God or show how they went through HELL to earn their spot in Heaven.
So you care enough about someone man or woman pretending to be strong that you hate it? Who gives af lmao doesn't effect anyone. Men pretend to be strong all the time who cares.
Ive been reading a little on spirits and gods. Baldur - He gets the worse treatment. Baldur is supposed to be the kindest and fairest of the gods. Baldur would allow the gods to throw rocks at him in jest because of his immortality. However, Loki took MistleToe, gave it the Blind God Höd, and directed it at Baldur. Baldur died instantly since the mistletoe went through him cleanly. This action broke up Loki with his Blood Brother Odin as Baldur's death signified Ragnarok. He couldve been brought back but Loki refused to mourn him. Thor - Thor is a big lug with Red Hair and Fiery Red Eyes, a loving family man, and while a drinker tis only to the extent of being a partier and is known to accept cheap swill if offered genuinely and graciously. Freya/Valfreya - Freya is Freya. I mean the lady knows vast magic, is the goddess of war, leads the valkyries, and taught Odin a great deal of Magic. That being said, she still went to every living thing including the other Aesir to ask for their word they wouldnt harm new born son, Balder. While she did, she sadly couldnt prevent or resuccitate him. Odin - Learns all sorts of magic and genuinely seen as sort of god of shamanistic knowlege, esoteric knowledge, and in some cases death. I mean to learn how to master certain runes, he hanged himself from the Yygsdrassil (World Tree) for Nine Days, Nine Nights. Respectfully learned Fate magic (fate magic was seen as mostly a female magic) from Freya and other women mages. Loki - Loki is Odin's blood brother and both enjoys each others company. They like to discuss magic. That being said Loki likes Chaos. Whether its disrupting a dinner party by starting gossip and watching the calamity ensue, Cutting off Sif's golden braids as a prank, or simply refusing to mourn for Baldur refusing him life. Loki is often attributed with snakes and wovles. Basically God of War 18 and 22 get some thing consistant but either muddy or destroy aspects of the Norse far more wrong than the Greek games did.
I guess after all god of war game we could say "god of war writer knew how to destroy mythology"not directly but young people like to watch movie and video game than reading history book so they might get wrong idea and message than the original did.
Whattt they changed stuff so the games would make sense and be fun???!?!?! I mean come on they couldnt just have the games be 100% based on the norse stories, it wouldnt work, the norse myhtology is all over the place, its much better to take interesting concepts and make it work as a game. its not history class, it shouldnt be about being 100% on the mark in terms of what was told hundreds of years ago, i much prefer they shape it to their own characters and world.
@@imacat1233 They could not change the lore and story of the norse-mythology and still make it fun and sense at the same time. But this requires competence from the writer which is sadly non-existent. But hey , lower your standards even more to show your actual expectations worth as the dirt you're digging through.

to be fair MGS4 came out in 2008, and the ending cutscene is literally 76 minutes long. I have never seen a game go that extreme again [not counting games like TWD game, and Heavy rain]

“where were you when MGS4 came out?” He was probably a sperm cell. A lot of that guy’s “points” are garbage. Because he just states how things _are,_ but doesn’t ask/question if those things are _good/acceptable._ It doesn’t matter if something is common if it sucks, that’s the whole point of complaining about it, to get it _changed._ But he just wanted to jump on a trending video to make a quick buck an used whatever strawman arguments he could just to have something to say.
I feel sorry for these zoomers - they think games with 2 hours of gameplay and 32 hours of cutscenes are the cats ass. How do cutscenes QuickTime events etc. etc. give a game replay value??? There's a reason people STILL play Resident Evil 4.... I've played that game 30 times - at least - and everytime I play - I learn something new. Same with Dead Space 1 and 2.... Those games never get old and cannot be "mastered" or "perfected".... There's always a new strategy or something previously unnoticed to be discovered and give me another excuse to play it AGAIN and AGAIN. Who's going to be replying GOW Ragnarok 17 years from now??.... Nobody. It's going to keel over and die in a matter of weeks.
@@bradley4385 why do you think the original GOW games would be played more than the current games? The previous GOW games were not open world games, they were purely plot driven games. The new games are semi-open world games for the person to explore. Which is more interesting to play, a game that just sticks to the plot or an open world game? Is Resident Evil 4 an open world game?
@@joelt9034 You're comparing story to a gameplay genre. Two completely different things. I think you meant to say a linear game with heavy focus on gameplay vs an open world story game. And yes, the linear game with deep gameplay is always more replayable than a bland open world where everything looks the same and I can't interact with any of it, let alone fucking jump. It's the same reason why people replay Doom, Left 4 Dead, and COD Zombies levels hundreds of times, because the gameplay is deep and unique everytime, unlike God of War where you take a fetch quest from an NPC and get it done the exact same way every single time.
@@bradley4385 As much as I love the first Dead Space I can't replay it because of how it's structured. Complete an objective? Necromorphs. You are correct with some of the complaints in the previous video I just think that quality of games has been downhill so often that the moment something is remotely good people praise it
Dude, your review was refreshing for me! I've seen so many "perfect scores" this and "Game of the Year" that, and in my own experience, i liked Ragnarok less than the 2018 one. I thought i was missing something or just crazy for thinking that, but seeing someone like you, someone who's not afraid to be honest and tell it like it is, it's very refreshing and is a good reminder as to why I subscribed to you to begin with. Never stop, man, never stop!
Agreed. 2018 god of war is the better game. Get to play as Kratos the whole time. Less padding and wasted time with lame side distractions. Less characters and more emphasis on truly important things. I did not like playing as Atreus.
2018 was more impressive by default because it was running on a PS4 so you could oversee some things. This game is not impressive in any way on PS5. Feels the exact same with zero innovation
The story is better in Ragnarok the gameplay is more fun in Ragnarok because of it's more a gameplay choices the side quests are more flushed out and seem like a whole story. So I don't know what you're talking about
100% agree. I was wondering what is wrong me lol. Honestly, some of it I enjoyed, but the writing was overall pretty bad and sloppy. Not to mention during the main story, the constant slow walking, climbing, riding, etc. Then there's Atreus...
@@AceW0rld You're forgetting that the absolute hype that Ragnarok had (the in-game event, not the game). What was imagined by fans was crushed by the pathetic thing we saw. I'm genuinely confused about what you thought was good story in Ragnarok? The introduction of many characters and their sub-par character development didn't do it for me imo. Sure you had way more pretty scenes and character interactions, but holding these things up in comparison to other media just doesn't rate.
So damn glad I happened upon your channel. Your not even negative for the sake of being negative. Just straight up honest and based reviews. Keep it up!
That’s because “back in the day” the gaming industry hadn’t yet become monopolised/corporatised and was relatively creative. There was competition, not a hand-few of giant corps churning out the same grey slop yearly that’s a safe bet. People actually had to make shit that was desirable, fresh, and exciting. Games back then just had more ‘soul’, more charm, more love, more thought put into them. Being creative is expensive and risky, all the big hitter franchises are established and safe, why stray when you can meet the bottom line and the consoomers don’t mind? Yes there is some nostalgia, and some child hood whimsical attached to it, but like yourself I’ve gone back and played those games, they are simply better. Gaming is another medium that’s going the way of all other mediums that get tainted by greed and homogeny, it’s the natural cycle of capitalism. And people who’re holding out for some sort of renaissance-are frankly naïve-or haven’t been around long enough. The golden years are behind us, and genre defining/generational/ground breaking titles are a thing of the past. In the Bayonetta games Bayonetta feels stronger and more dangerous through each passing game, she doesn't keep the weapons she gained except for her Iconic pistols on each game, but regardless despite her getting even more powerful, her enemies do as well and it feels insane in a good way, as a player in the third you can now summon your demons at will as long as you have enough magic available for the summons and its so satisfying beating up massive enemies with them watch them struggle to fight back, there is also drawbacks to summoning them as it does leave bayonetta open for attacks since she is controlling the demons and the demons themselves can also become enraged and attack everything including you or some cases they can also be killed temporarily. But regardless Bayonetta at the very least retains some of her gained abilities and her magical powers just seem to get much stronger through each game.

Idk, Gow 3 has a story with features that he would like this game to have and it is still mediocre with rather wasted characters, and the funny thing is that THAT game is not half as criticized as this one. At least as far as the story is concerned, something doesn't add up there.
It sounds like if someone tries to criticize a game and point out problems, it equals hate for some reason. It's like people only want others to only say positive things just to make them feel good and making them think they are doing a good job.

Yeah, you’d think there was a worldwide pandemic happening in that time that would’ve severely limited their production time. I’m not the biggest fan of this game, but it’s impressive that they made such a complete and detailed game with well over 40hrs of gameplay in only 4 years during COVID. Think before you comment.
The game really did feel like a norse themed avengers knockoff, just as child friendly and low stakes as an MCU movie too. Nothing you did felt like it effected the world like in the OG trilogy and the melodramatic story really rubbed me the wrong way. I’ll probably never go back to this game or the series after this disappointment.
True mythological lore is irrelevant... as these games have never been 100% true to them. But nope... the valkyries didn't even have a queen, and they directly served Odin.
Freya in Norse mythology is basically like Aphrodite in Greek mythology. Although historical documents also suggest that Freya was in charge of receiving half of the souls brought to the halls of Valhalla, at no time is she listed as the wife of Odin, queen of the valkyries and mother of Baldur.
I did actually run into that berserker and leave 😂 The color of the health bars indicate if the enemy is at or above your level so I knew to just come back with better gear
Lmao I did the same thing but I had to try at least once got killed within two hits and i knew the berserkers were going to be that type of enemy one where you come back with Max gear, Max ax, max blades of chaos, max spear, Max shield, with the best runic attacks maxed out, just to still die within three or four hits worst optional bosses in the game.
The one point I do have to heavily disagree on is calling Freya a Mary Sue because her being the real Queen of the Valkyries is basic Norse Mythology knowledge and from that its fair to assume she is very powerful, especially given how tough Sigrün was in the last game. Also Odin went to great lengths to bind her in Midgard instead of simply imprisoning her in Asgard which at least to me implies she was too dangerous to keep around even for him. Last thing to mention is that Kratos is always holding back because he doesn't actually want to kill her and even during the whole game he kinda acts like a scared wimp about his previous strength, so can we really blame Freya for not looking incompetent next to him?

I might not agree with everything you say, but just keep doing your thing, even if people don't agree with you just keep being yourself, that's why I subscribed to hear your thoughts.
I mean, the game is designed with "forgettability" (and no replayability) in mind. It's supposed to feel great during hype period, and then fade away so people don't over analyze it. For a more recent example, think of Civil War, from Marvel. Great movie, but it was definitely meant to be watched that one time, during the release month. No one that has watched it them probably remembers the movie as a whole, but everyone certainly remembers it was the best Marvel movie to date when it released. The second you stop to look at it (the game) with a slightly more critical eye, you realize it's barely a game, and that the whole thing is coming apart at the seams. When you take away the gameplay component of the game, all it has to rely on is the story, which is pretty much the case with those two new GoW games. And the one from 2018? No one has fucking touched it since it's own release month. Because the game is designed to be "enjoyed" once. The gameplay is repetitive and without surprises. And I'd bet you good money that the people that played it then, but has never touched it again to this day, will say the game is incredible, because it's all they remember. Everyone cheering for the return of Kratos, videos everywhere saying it was good, the hype. If you take away the hype from either new entry into the series, no one will ever remember they existed. And if proof of this is needed, show me someone still talking about Horizon Forbidden West like it's relevant at all. It's been the trend with Sony exclusives for a few years now, and they'll probably keep at it. The formula sells, specially when people are hunting specifically for that one dopamine spike day in and out. THE HYPE.
Oh I know exactly what you're talking about. The "it's great in the moment, but give it a minute of thought afterwards and it quickly falls apart" type of movie or game. Disposable entertainment. Its exactly how I felt about the Force Awakens. Blown away in the theatre, started hating it 5 minutes after leaving and thinking about all the problems.
You know it's okay for games to be played once and on the other hand I played god of war more than six times and people always analyze every game they play there literally all over UA-cam with both god of war games so this whole comment was just wrong
*ZeroNeedsCoffee also mentioned a wrong point regarding the lore; when he mentioned that the MAGlCAL GR0VE 0F TREES of DAD 0F B0Y 2O18 had a F0RCE FlELD that protected it, when truly the only thing it did was camouflage those inside it from the sight of the AESlR G0DS, more specifically, 0DlN'S RAVENS. Therefore, after 0DlN'S RAVENS discovered them, since KRAT0S knocked down some of its marked trees, & even if they had restored the power of that camouflage system, that wouldn't 've mattered, since 0DlN already knew where they lived, so the AESlR G0DS could've attacked KRAT0S & ATREUS at any time, as BALDUR did before.* Even the WlKl confirms that all the MAGlCAL GR0VE 0F TREES did was camouflage those inside it from the sight of 0DlN'S RAVENS on its KRAT0S' CABlN section!
I have to agree with this, there are many things that could have been altered for the direction of the story to really bring your attention to the forefront but they didn’t. Not really everything he said was true.
What a great character "development"...
what the mural said was what faye thought would happen all the prophecies arent prophecies they are predictions.... based on every perspective it was said with the fates
promises or prediction, do you even understand what clairvoyance
is? throughout the whole saga giants are portrayed as a race who can predict the future where do you even take the idea that it was a promise? promise and prophecy is not the same, the only promise that was made was to spread the ashes and that's it.

If Kratos lost control like that, Atreus wouldn’t have been around to see it.
They said Kratos cant even access those powers because its tied to his realm. Freya said this.

Thank you for actually voicing your opinion instead of trying to pander to some bull shit. Thank you man you are a legend brother! 🙏👏🙏👏
He was great in 2018 but shit in ragnarok
The fact that the guy responding to the previous video unironically suggest to watch all the cutscenes from Ragnarok to "experience the game" is so hilarious and even further proves the point of Sony games being one big cinematic movies.

Well said. Also, i hate how writers nowadays seem too scared to actually make women characters struggle. They always just make them amazing at everything. Male or female, that crap is lame. I swear this "yes mommy" "dommy mommy" stuff is tainting a generation of men's thinking.

As an animator, I love cutscenes and cinematic experiences. What I don’t like is the forced walking segments that play out on their own. Most of those segments would be better off being even small cutscenes, but I understand in production you can’t always get a scene storyboarded, shot, motion captured and polished in time.

@Lawrence Newman LMAO
Not at all, its just when the criticism is ridiculous.
To be frank there is more negativity out there in the gaming community. It seems like there is more hating on something than actually loving it. So I could see your point if people talked about games in a positive light. Which is very rare.

Freya is the head Valkyrie in Norse mythology though, not just the last game.
Still not the point.
True mythological lore is irrelevant... as these games have never been 100% true to them. But nope... the valkyries didn't even have a queen, and they directly served Odin.
Also, Odin's wife in Norse mythology is Frigg, not Freya. And Frigg is Baldur's mother, not Freya.
In fact, Freya in Norse mythology already has a husband, who is called Odr, and two daughters, called Hnoss and Gersemi.
Synthetic man is the truth bomb reviewer we all need to counter all the garbage that gets put out in this platform from fanboys.

@@lewispooper3138 game still sucks dick haha
Therefore, after 0DlN'S RAVENS discovered them, since KRAT0S knocked down some of its marked trees, & even if they had restored the power of that camouflage system, that wouldn't 've mattered, since 0DlN already knew where they lived, so the AESlR G0DS could've attacked KRAT0S & ATREUS at any time, as BALDUR did before.*
