I watch most YT videos at 1.5x speed to get through more clips. Yours are the only one's I have to watch at normal speed (sometimes even slower). There is SOOOOoooo much going on, I love love love it!! Keep 'em coming!
The reason why I'm a big fan of yours is the fact that you don't use a huge team, months of planning and like 500 robots to make what you make. You just think of it and do it all by your hands and some equipment which makes you THE BEST film maker and photographer in the world. Keep inspiring!
OMG PETER I was watching Extraction and I was losing my mind during that scene saying “Peter McKinnon would love this!” And my boyfriend thought I was nuts but I knew you’d appreciate this!! 🖤
So stoked you did extraction, as soon as I saw that movie I thought of this filmmakers reacts and how much I've learned about filming from you peter! Amazing!
So its now winter here in South Africa and I opened my door this morning to see my dog barking and with every bark there was a puff of steam coming out his mouth (you know how you use to do as a kid and pretend you were a dragon?). Well I saw that and thought of you straight away Peter and how dope that would've been to take a photo of that but of course as I get my camera he stopped barking 😅 But I just want to thank you and say that you've helped me so much with my photography and UA-cam channel! Anyway, have a great day everyone and I hope you meet your day's goals 👊
I was going to send you a message with a link to the behind-the-scenes video from the movie Extraction and then I changed my mind because you probably wouldn't even see the message, but I thought you would love that sequence. I'm so happy that you did that one on this episode.
Also I love this kind of videos, it's great to see the amount of work that goes into some of these clips. I saw extraction and the story didn't really hold my attention at all but the videography of it was fantastic.
Nicely done Pete! I’ve been a fan for a while now and I want to let you know that watching your videos has inspired me to start making my own with what little I have. I love the process! Thank you for everything!
I have no idea how i came across these videos and that i would be so mesmerized by them but holy cow i could watch this bts Hollywood camera techniques for days!
Peter, I only first came across your content last week, but in that time have spent countless hours sourcing inspiration and filmmaking tips from your videos. With this whole (dare I say it) pandemic occurring, the creative portion of my brain has started to peak, as I'm sure it's done with many others around the world! I've just taken the plunge in posting my first UA-cam video/short movie in YEARS thanks to you! Going to keep at it and GET SHIT DONE!!! THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION! YOU DA MAN
That last "seemingly one take" clip reminds me a lot of the "A ____ with Markiplier" (ie. A Heist with Markiplier, A Date with Markiplier etc) series where most of every route is that same concept. Always so satisfying to watch and to think of how they made those scenes personally. I love watching bts of these clips.
Pete with glasses hahaha hilarious as usual ! youre such an inspiration to so many people including myself and you do it in a very unique way that doesnt make me feel bored. Thank you for the awesome content as promised.
Omg. Ok so I just found you today. Gotta be honest there, but you are awesome. Love your content. Ive had you playing for a couple of hours straight now. Your videos are super crispy. Man. Rock on.
When are you getting together with Corridor for a colab? I would love to see you hanging out with the guys for their "VFX artists/stuntmen react" series.
get out of your comfort zone peter its enough its hard to go and edit afterward but possible i want some of those Iceland videos some of those 120 fps with 1dxM2 and drones
Everytime i see your video ,im always blown away .I never ever think that im gonna ever regret watching your videos. Im from mumbai all power to you peter >3 :)
All the gunshots and muzzle flashes in that scene were effects done in post. Besides being too dangerous obviously, they could not make "loud" noises on location. So the actors rehearsed recoil as well as the fight sequence. Pretty intense.
I'm an aspiring videographer, yesterday (6/26/20) was officially the worst day of my life. In the morning all my cameras, ronin, drone, equipment ($6000) got robbed from my trunk in a city I didn't think was that bad. Other than that, that same afternoon someone hit me in a car accident and totaled my car while my dog was in the backseat. He had a seat buckle so he didn't go flying but he somehow got loose off the harness and ran away from everything. Right now I just feel stuck, everyone just tells me you just gotta try and get back up on your feet but what do you think is the right way to go above from this? In other words, how would you sell yourself to get back on your feet; it's not impossible there just needs to be a manner of handling it. I already have a restaurant job I don't know what else especially without a car at the moment.
The movie Bushwick with Dave Bautista that was on Netflix for a while was amazingly shot. There was only maby 2 hard cuts in the whole movie. The whole thing was made to look like 1 take/1camera kind of thing. It was awesome
That Extraction one take reminds me a bit of a Kingsman church scene where they stitched together a massive amount of shots to look like a one take. Genius move and really a cinematic masterpiece. :) Ih, and the music in that scene... i love it. :D
Yeah dude! The continuous shot in Extraction had my mind blown when I was watching it! But I was the only one there who noticed and was geeking out about it haha
At the end I was like noooo what it's over. There are best on gram aiiiii fire things right there thanks peter for shearing the spotlight big man keep rocking it.🔥🔥
Love the dark mode, love the react videos, love Squarespace Pete and I absolutely LOVE coffee. But seriously Peter, you're gonna give yourself a heart attack. Second pot?
What was your favourite clip? Let me know below!! Im torn! Those Instagram vids were NUTS!!!
They all were sick. But my favorite was the clip with the doors.
All of them
@jonsimo's probe lens shot is my favorite!! So good @ 6:25
@jonsimo 's Shot is the Best one in my Opinion, the shot is at 6:25
I saw it as a Redbull Advert, I like the neo noir/cyberpunk vibe it gives
The Red Bull one with the probe lens by Jon was epic (6:25)! Loved the vibe coming from it. Plus bonus points for that dolly setup :P
If the coffee cup is too hot to hold your palm against for a few seconds, it’s too hot to drink. Best life lesson I’ve learned (at 38).
I have a hard time drinking coffee at any temperature less than "almost too hot"
But.. what if I just take a little sip...
😂
Some cups are better insulated than others though 🤔
Mmmjakis I think he means a standard ceramic coffee mug

Do a Collab with the first guy, literally anything! Your film making experience with his masking is a winner. Please Peter!
5:54 did anyone else notice their hands overlap?! Well done! 🤯
Yea some mf put effort into 2 seconds lmao 🤯
I think one of the footage was taken in a green screen
around 5:45 the fingers of SquarespacePete dissapear tho...
Lool right

Same
But you guys will definitely have smartphones. So, that's more than enough to start with :)
Keep shooting!!

My whole channel is based on Mobile Camera. Don't worry, you don't need a dedicated camera.
Peter, we LOVE Squarespace Pete. Don't let him go! The best things in life you gotta fight for.
So true!!!
Love these types of videos.
So many incredible shots. These people on Instagram and even TikTok are INSANELY talented
The song at the end 14:01 is
Surrender - Angels & Airwaves
if anyone is wondering...
Thanks

Comparing with 6 Underground, Extraction is a masterpiece imo. That shot was so intense.
The story is bogus though, I couldn't understand most of the plot.
@@why_tho_ just like 6 underground then
Yeah but that yellow filter that was there throughout the film made it look really bad
@@avikchakraborty9879 Yeah, but like, how will Americans know the movie is set in another country unless we have the yellow filter? /s
@@why_tho_ Really? I think it's simple enough to understand, just a man not letting another regret to become true.
OMG PETER I was watching Extraction and I was losing my mind during that scene saying “Peter McKinnon would love this!” And my boyfriend thought I was nuts but I knew you’d appreciate this!! 🖤
that closet scene was just the best idea ever.
So stoked you did extraction, as soon as I saw that movie I thought of this filmmakers reacts and how much I've learned about filming from you peter! Amazing!
Ah man I could watch these clips over and over and over and over. Love seeing the creative process behind shots like these too 🙌
I’d definitely have to say @jonsimo’s loop at 6:25 is my favourite by far! Creativity in its finest form!
14:01 Surrender - Angels and Airwaves, ❤️ Nice taste Pete

the key element is the "IDEA", the editing is something almost everyone guessed it even before that guy explains.
That Angels and Airwaves sing along at the end!! Hahaha so sick!! Surrender is a really stellar song bro!
I remember seeing that clip from extraction and thinking “Jesus, how much effort just went into making this a continuous clip” really is incredible
That first dude was amazing! Extraction was an awesome movie!! One of the best fight scenes ever!
All I want is a Peter McKinnon x Corridor Digital collab!
I was going to send you a message with a link to the behind-the-scenes video from the movie Extraction and then I changed my mind because you probably wouldn't even see the message, but I thought you would love that sequence. I'm so happy that you did that one on this episode.
My brain hurts after watching that first guy

Extraction was amazing. I really hope Sam Hargrave gets a major action property that needs to be revitalized. He deserves it after that sequence.
