Thanks a lot man! I was looking for this exact comparison as I’m looking to buy one of these two. Still gotta think about it but you gave me what I need for a thoughtful consideration. Thank you!
Great Review. You helped me make up my mind on what bench to get.......as soon as they start selling equipment again. LOL Until then I will continue to save my pennies.
I got an AB-3. Had it for about 3 weeks so far. It’s choice however the gap is a slightly annoying after using the AB-2 style. I’ve been stressing for about 3 months now on whether to go RML-490 or RM-4 next.
Great comparison and review, thank you. I’m looking into these. What is the platform pad you have these benches sitting on, and where did you get them?
hi MannieG, great video and great topic seen as therell be thosands of people deciding on these two benches!!! I recently bought the rogue ab2 bench and if i had the choice again i wouldve bought the 2.0 bench. reasons are the welds arent great on my one, the metal bar cross member at the top of the back pad where your head is, is off level and badly welded, you can see the top of the bench leaning off to the left. another poor finish with the ab2 is that the pins for adjusting the back and seat rest only barely go into the holes on the bar with the holes on them, i emailed rogue and this is the same with every bench, even if it is safe its just badly done and looks crap plus theres a metal tube that comes across as if to take the pin inside it but it in no way reaches it and the tube isnt hollow even to take a pin inside it so the part is pointless really. not at all good seen as your paying nearly 1000 euro for the bench. another thing is the ab2 is just that bit too high at 18inches, no bench should be over 17.5 inches high which is the power lifting maximum height allowed for a bench. the 2.0 has a wide beam running up the backrest and looks like a stronger bench, its 17.5 inches high which imo is better than 18 on the ab2 or ab3 and you dont need a huge amount of adjustment on a seat rest like on the 2.0 seen as your feet are planted on the ground. anyone reading this go for the 2.0, i never saw one in the flesh but i'd say its the better bench
Just sold my 2.0 after moving into a smaller home gym. Is the AB-3 much lighter and easier to move around than the 2.0? I didn't have the spotter stand installed and it was just so hard to lift and roll. I'm hoping the AB-3 is easier to get out of the way if I need my rack (Monster Lite 390) for squats etc.
The lowest angle on the 2.0 -what angle does it line up with on the AB-3? It almost looks like the first incline level is really high from the web site. I wish they’d show the actual degrees. :-/
Good comparison. I love my AB3 and have no issues with the gap and I'm 6' tall. I slide my head all the way up to the top so my butt is still on the back pad and not the seat pad. Fits me perfect. I would say anyone taller may run into issues.
@@bigkahuna3534 I would say probably not. The back pad is 35 inches long so I scoot all the way to the top of it. That way I don't have to deal with the large gap or the feet at the bottom of the bench. If your torso is longer than the 35 inches to your head I would get the Rogue adjustable bench 3.0 or the REP AB-5200 instead. If you wanted one that does decline sit ups too I would either get the REP AB-5000 zero gap or the Prime Fitness adjustable bench with the leg attachment for either of those
hello i see you have the rogue ab-3 bench. Do you also have the foot holder for the Decline function? I'm thinking of buying the bench too. I would like to put the backrest upright and use it as an Eleiko Brutal Bench. Have you tried this before and would it work? You can't adjust the foot holder on the bench that's why I ask. Would you like to try it out for me if that works. If it's a cool exercise, you will surely like it too. You can send me a photo or a short video if you like.
The thumbnail game tho 👌🏻nice transitions too. We just need to work on that clickbait game to get those views to skyrocket. “HOW PROS OF ROGUE 2.0 ADJUSTABLE BENCH PREVENTED MY NEAR FATAL ACCIDENT”
That 2.0 bench ain’t $300 better than the Rep Fitness AB-3100... I’d argue the Rep fitness bench is straight up better due to more seat adjustment options... and $300 cheaper 🤷♂️.... but you repped those 70’s like a beast!!!
The maximum seat angle difference on the AB2 offers incline users less security from sliding, this was mentioned once in the video but I wanted to emphasize it.
I watched your videos and you never did tell us how much you picked them up for… only that the 2.0 can with the rack bundle… total cliffhanger on the ab-3 my man 😄
Hey brother im about to order the AB3. Does the bench come with with the decline equipment or am i suppose to add on the Rogue AB-2 Decline Retro Fit Kit. Would you recommend the Rogue 2.0 or AB3
@@manniemjg thank you so much for taking the time to reply brother! Do you think the gap would bother me for the ab3 for someone who’s 5”7. Unless I do benches and my workout on the back of the padding
Thanks a lot man! I was looking for this exact comparison as I’m looking to buy one of these two. Still gotta think about it but you gave me what I need for a thoughtful consideration. Thank you!
I’m considering pulling the trigger on the AB 3 for decline. Thanks for sharing the info!
Great review. You helped me decide to buy the 2.0
Glad to hear. 👍
Great video, thank you. What’s that platform your benches are on?
Great review, thanks for the content. RM6 Rack review next?
castillousarmy yes.

Pretty sure it’s a Rogue Platform

hello, thank you for your comment, I would like to know what 2.0 is? the rogue adjustable bench 2.0? I can't find other models on their website. ty
I liked this as a Niners fan :)
Wonderful video. Any interest in selling the AB3 bench?
Any issues doing incline db rows, incline barbell/db curls or anything like that with the 2.0 adjustable bench?
Good video just need more lighting
Does this AB 3 goes up like 90 degrees to do shoulders?
Mr. G! Were you ever able to determine the angle of the lowest incline of the 2.0?
Just sold my 2.0 after moving into a smaller home gym. Is the AB-3 much lighter and easier to move around than the 2.0? Is the Rogue adjustable bench as good as the Nautilus adjustable bench?
Where can I get it cheaper? Good video!

@@bigkahuna3534 Sweet! Let me know how you like it when you get one
Problem is we cant do decline in standard possition
Have you tried to sit facing the other direction to avoid the gap on your back?
If 2.0 had one more higher adjustment for the seat incline, it would be perfect
I agree

That sounds very annoying and I know exactly what you are talking about. Given everything are you planning to keep the ab3 over the 2.0?

70s. Wow you are easily impressed.
That’s such an odd decline feature 😒 I been looking at getting a rogue bench but my bread and butter is the decline bench press for my chest.
Can you use the AB3 as a GHD?
The maximum seat angle difference on the AB2 offers incline users less security from sliding, this was mentioned once in the video but I wanted to emphasize it.
Can either of the benches be vertically stored to save space in a garage gym?
Yes, I would love to know this as well!!!

AB 3 comes with the decline portion. With the AB 2 you have to bug the attachment. I would recommend the AB over the 2.0.
@@manniemjg thank you so much for taking the time to reply brother! Do you think the gap would bother me for the ab3 for someone who’s 5”7. Unless I do benches and my workout on the back of the padding
I can’t afford either one 😂
That gap though. Zero gap bench for me.
I love my bench AB-3. Take it easy...buy a rogue socks put rice inside and then put in the gap....😉
My rogue bench fell apart in less then 6 months
