Another great review I was pissed when this first got announced but other than a few minor changes I’m happy with my zero gap. I also paid significantly less than the retail which helped. Good news is I've had the red Rep Blackwing bench with wide pads for over 2 weeks now. Bad thing is it stuck in a box since i'm in the process of moving to another home. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.
Just the video I was waiting for! Can you answer some questions about it? 1. Do you think the wide pad is needed to do nordic curls? 2. Do you find flat bench stability compromised with the lack of post? 3. Between the GetRX FIDAB-2 and the Blackwing bench, (and maybe the AB-5200) if one doesn't care about the zero-gap feature, would you still recommend the blackwing bench over the others (not regarding the price since they're not *too* far off). It seems that the zero gap might even be a detriment given it adds additional wobbling when not resting against the backpad.
I can try 1. Probably not. It may help and I'm not sure how you set yourself for nordics but it wasn't an issue with the standard for us 2. No I don't. By using 11 gauge steel throughout and upgrading the honge tolerances it's very stable. 3. If you're not going to use the leg roller) or if they ever release the extension / leg curl) then I'd go with the 5200 2.0. The get Get RX'd FIDAB-2 is better than the current 5200 but only because it's a ripoff of it. The 5200 2.0 is better than both but I'd wait for the review, I'd like more time with it before I die on that hill.

I have a diy low row pulley system and to make it work I use my Keppi bench w the leg attachment to sit on and push on the leg pieces for support. And does the CleanGrip vinyl scuff as easily as the Thompson vinyl from Rogue? Also would love to see you get your hands on Griffin’s Adjustable Bench 2.0 to see how it stacks up with the benches you have.
I've been told by a few people that this isn't the AB 5000 2.0 meaning there is going to be an upgraded 5000 coming out. The vinyl didn't scuff quite the same as the Thompson vinyl but it seems to more so than gen 2. It's hard to say tbh. We stand on, put crap on, and move these things a crazy amount so they all take a beating.
I wonder how this compares to the Venom Gapless bench from Bolt Fitness. It's not one I own. Nor do I know anyone who owns it, but it has the knob for the gapless feature on the side as well. It also has ladder style on the front and the back. It's also much much cheaper than rep's blackwing.

I'm glad you said something because we have no credits for this bench which seems odd with over 10k views
@@GlucksGym omg man that is terrible! Yes I will. Just so you, I followed the link above and UA-cam opened my "brave" browser in the UA-cam app and I did the whole order that way. Perhaps those details will help.
I've ordered stuff in the past with your affiliate link and was always wondering if it was giving you credit because as the buyer, it doesn't seem to give feedback that the affiliate links are being used on some sites
@@GlucksGym when I called them they said it sometimes takes a 2 or 3 days for the affiliate credit to go through. If you need any more information from me while looking into this please let me know.
subbed coz you're funny
Day 1 of commenting on glucks videos - we are hungry… tired. We lost Devin yesterday… snakebite. Devine’s father managed to get a fire going despite this rain… at least we won’t have to be hungry much longer
I laughed pretty hard at this but I read it out loud to Wynie and now my son keeps asking questions. He seems pretty worried.
Stay posted for episode 2 😂
Your son is a goofball? Can't imagine where he gets that from🤣.
Future host of the channel?!
💪🏼
I think ill prob upgrade from the original zero gap to this one. Hate that its heavier. Thats the only negative.
It's a heavy beast for sure but a great bench as long as you don't mind playing around with the Zero Gap.
Leg extension/curl AND seated calf raise attachment! Don’t make me buy from another manufacturer!
Great review. I thought I remember REP telling you at The Arnold that the BlackWing isn’t technically a ZeroGap 2.0. Do you have information on that?
I’ll buy it when the leg extension attachments comes out
No you won't.
Glad I got my video out before your's dropped.
What software you use to edit your videos?
Premiere Pro
A good leg extension/curl attachment would convince me to totally switch to the Rep ecosystem. That would be massive for home gyms.
Those attachments are usually garbage on most home benches.
@@reconstructionwouldhavesav9472 notice I said “good” attachment…
Gluck tested, Gluck approved.
😀 I need a stamp
Your bench collection is amazing. I think your bench collection cost more than my entire gym. Haha.
But awesome compare and contrast.
I had a plan with all these benches but I haven't executed it yet 😂😭
I wonder how this compares to the Venom Gapless bench from Bolt Fitness. It's not one I own. Nor do I know anyone who owns it, but it has the knob for the gapless feature on the side as well. It also has ladder style on the front and the back. It's also much much cheaper than rep's blackwing.
The Bolt Fitness Venom bench is built much cheaper with much less adjustment ability than the Rep Blackwing. They are not comparable in the least.
4100 still the best
Rep give Gluck more bench
I still have a tiny bit of room left in a corner 😂
LEG CURL/EXTENSION NOW REP
What he said
Say it ain't so! There's no way you have a "goofy" kid! I don't believe that for an instant!
Boom goes the dynamite
That's true.
Couldn’t focus on the video. Kept staring at those shoes 😂. I still liked it though, for the algorithm.
Need some of that UA-cam revenue for new ones 😭
It seems like with benches and adjustable dbs there is always a BUT...still not a perfect one of either. Close, but not perfect.
gluck the bench collector
Someday it'll all make sense 👀
$600
Bench is sick but my god I’d be poor
Maybe your channel can try to lose money as fast as mine does 😂😢
NOOOO
third Baylee.... third?!
Your mom was the heaviest single arm row of my life. Not this bench.
I'm gonna show her this comment Kris!
Do you have any CCTV / night-vision keeping an eye on your gym?
Lord only knows what kind of wild reproduction parties must be going on with your benches.
Maybe the channel would finally make money if I could sell their offspring
