An excellent video! I'm trying to learn Rell and I'm struggling in some matchups, but I guess I should just try to find the guts to make mistakes and actually engage. Falling behind can just be really frustrating like you said.
Engagers are challenging. Embrace it! A lot of failed engages are necessary to improve. You can also check out my Rell guide if you haven't for more tips.

As a new player, I've been building it as Rakan, instead of Locket, just to have 1 less decision to make/1 CD less to consider. Is it like Aftershock where its helpful to start with but eventually you'd wanna move on to building Locket instead? Or does it have othet uses too?

I did the same for the longest time. But once I pushed through the pain of failing over and over, it was very rewarding!
Thank you for this great guide! I just started league and picked up Rell because she looks cool and I like the whole ferromancy concept she has but I felt like even if I do well in lane I feel useless later on (turns out I don't roam as much as I should etc etc). Lots to learn from this, so thank you very much! League is so complicated 😩

I have a question
What to do if you fail early at engaged and enemy poke support like Karma just keeps preassuring you, you die a bunch times and now you feel useless cause even if you engage she’s gonna exhaust either u or your adc and u have to fall back cause you can’t get through her R-shield
You try not to enage save up your hp and w8 for an opurtunity to kill them with your jg or try to go for short bursts of damage when you see one of them isolated and the quikly fall back when rierfoncemts arive
Is it still meta to ward the mid lane bush at beginning of game and backing for sweeper? I never fully understood the reason and strategy of this
Since the trinket changes, no not anymore. Your sweeper won't be up for early lane and you can look to stack 2 sweeper charges nowadays.

I definitely will in the future, I would need to spam them for a while for footage though.
