- Steve Borthwick's England have retained 17 of their 33 players from the 2023 Rugby World Cup, as Jamie George takes the captaincy for the 2024 Six Nations Championship. Question is though, will this team be good enough to win? Let's see...

Really great analysis. I’ll be back for more. Thanks
Cheers mate, I’m looking forward to a return to video analysis in the 6N 🔥
This is what England fans have been waiting for…..squad refresh. The squad now is better than what we took to the World Cup. This is what Jones should have done after the 2029 WC. I have high hopes for the future and we’ll be better this six nations than last years. I hope the usuals write us off. Agree with you regarding Painter. Coles and Furbank are playing excellent and different players to when they were last capped
Yeah, Painter is very good in the scrum, perhaps needs to lose some body fat so he can hit more rucks? That’s the only real reason I can think of for his omission 😅
Italy 15-32 England
England 16-13 Wales
Scotland 24-21 England
England 12-28 Ireland
France 37-9 England
That’s a really decent prediction. I can’t strongly disagree with any of them.
That sounds pretty accurate for England vs Wales, don’t think we’ll see much running there 😂
Why it's win or bust? This is Borthwicks first proper squad. He was brought in a week before the last 6nations then he had to go safe for the World Cup because of how little time he had with the team, a team which was basically Eddie Jones' still.
- Alex Coles is one of the form Locks in the Prem and covers 6
- Tommy Freeman probably THE form player in England and arguably Europe
Not sure the squad could have been much better? I couldn't name any available players who'd walk into the 23 who's not in the squad already
Because now that Borthwick has given the squad a re-set in terms of personnel and isn’t working with a platform set by another coach, this is the true reckoning of wether he’s up to the job or not.
He went from a bunch of record losses to a bronze medal, so this will be proof of which one of those directions his tenure will lead towards 👀
To answer the question, here’s one player… Cadan Murley 👀
@@TheBlackJersey Win or bust makes it sound like he's got to win the 6 nations or he's sacked. If he comes 3rd and the level of performance has improved then that's progress in most people's eyes. We aren't expecting him to top France and Ireland
Do you watch the Prem or Europe? You've named a player who's been injured 90% of the season🤦🏻♂️ Not only that but 2 games he's been hooked at HT because he's been poor. A bit of research wouldn't go a miss
Love your content. Honest question, do you watch any premiership rugby? Or just international? Tommy freeman has probably been the best back in this years tournament alongside Slade so I didn’t understand that comments or not rating him?
I’ve caught up with a fair bit of the premiership, Freeman is a bit too much of a ball hog to be the Penaud-like centre in the wing, while he doesn’t have the out-and-out pace of Cadan Murley who I would have preferred as an attacking threat 🔥
Slade isn't the best defender? I've never seen Slade miss a tackle. His tackling is immaculate.
He’s very good at reading the game on defence but I’ve noticed that with his technique he tends to get side-on a bit too much, which isn’t ideal in the wider channels…
Feliz-Waboso I reckon will be electric!
Nah g World Rugby gonna ban him cause he from Wales
Is he now Spanish? Feliz!!!
He’s very good 🎉
Until the overseas ban for English players is lifted its going to be difficult
Yup, Joe Marchant is decent so now they have to bring a utility in rather than an out-and-out 13…
Your not Danny Care's biggest fan. Have you not seen him play over the last 10 years? He's just got better and better. I can't think of any other player that that give his best performances at 37, can you?
Care peaked around 2015-2017 and fell off after that point. He tends to have pretty erratic game management and isn’t as quick as he once was, so doesn’t necessarily have the flashiness to be the impact off the bench now 😅
Well, we will have to disagree over that. Myself (and many others) think Danny is playing the best rugby of his career. @@TheBlackJersey
With the resources England got, it's difficult to fail.
Yeah it definitely is 😅
Explain?
Ireland 27-6 England
Sounds about right for that game man 👀
Nah dog got it wrong 270-0 Ireland win
You guys maybe right but at least we understand what a WC Semi final feels like….
@henryburton6529 Still can't figure out how you fixed that draw, maybe Bill knows.
@@DoddyIshamel it was payback for the previous two world cups where we got shafted.
Anyway, don't get fixated on that one England have been to loads of semi finals
Nah, it will be another fail.
Maybe 😉
3rd place at RWC . 😂😂
Third is like second - last.@@Canvashed
@@Marius_vanderLubbe considering they were wrote off before the tournament that they wouldn't get out the group....its a result 🤣
@@CanvashedIreland the real winners bro they beat the boring Boks 13-8 cause they can’t kick lol
