Lyrics:
Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly
I need the volume one louder than ten
I put the pedal to the metal, needle into the red
And if the windows ain't shaking
Making my heart race
If I can't feel it in my chest
I'm in the wrong damn place!
I got a demon in my soul and a voice in my head
It's saying GO! GO! GO! I can sleep when I'm dead
There's a sonic revelation bringing me to my knees
And there's a man down below who needs my sympathy
Got a ringing in my ears getting ready to burst
Screaming "Hallelujah Motherfucker take me to church"
I like it louder than the boom
Of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound
Of a guitar grunge
I love to crank it up
Make it thump
And evil to the core
Headbanging in the pit
And throwing my horns
And just like old school
Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low
And make it heavy
I like it heavy
I like it heavy
I ride the lightning, roll with the thunder
Going down down down with my sisters and brothers
I fell in love with their darkest parts
Stand on the side of the wild at heart
I plucked the feather off a crow so I could fly
Since I was 13 years old I've had my fist to the sky
I like it louder than the boom
Of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound
Of a guitar grunge
I love to crank it up
Make it thump
And evil to the core
Headbanging in the pit
And throwing my horns
And just like old school
Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low
And make it heavy
I like it heavy
I like it heavy
I like it, I like it, I like it heavy
Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly
I like it heavy
I like it heavy
I like it, I like it, I like it heavy

Nearly drove into the ditch headbanging to this tune while driving yesterday. Worth it.
Lolol, I understand.
better drive save buddy
Send it
My neighbour just chucked a brick through my window so they could hear it better!!
literally same
God that outro still gives me chills of excitement. This is a fucking anthem.
It really is epic
@@tamarapetrov4990 WoW YEAH!!!
😎🤘😇☠🔥🔥🔥🤘❤🙏💯👊
That outtro thingy hit me like a brick. Breathless. This woman is pure music.
Reminds me very much of Janis Joplin
Such an amazing scream she has. I'd like to make a compilation of Lzzy's screams and just listen it all day.
Omg yes. My fav and I am a music soul
Rips the heart straight out of my chest every damn time, and I couldn't quit this song if I tried.
Janis Joplin and Dolly Parton love child
The ending of this song touches me. As somebody who just in general has been going through shit, music like this reminds me what I love in this world and keeps me going. No matter what I lose in life, I will always have music to heal my soul. When I forget what it means to be happy I turn to music like this and that’s reason enough for me to keep on keeping on.
Very Janice. I'm sure Joplin would approve.
I know what you mean it heals the mind hang in there
That's it man. Music is the universal vibration that draws us together. I don't need a support animal. I got music.
Amen to that my friend. If metal can't fix it, fuck it!
I just love her voice...the fact she sounds live like she does recording is just icing on the cake
It's the voice of a horny angel.
One of the best concerts I've had the pleasure of attending.. they are just as amazing awesome live as recorded and that's a rare find indeed❣️
Better live than recorded lol
The first song I heard Lzzy sing was Love Bites.
Shivers ran down my spine! She has the finest female rock voice I have ever heard.
Her power, range and elocution are phenomenal! She can sing or scream the same note!
The fast paced songs, her sexy, confident, assertive, look you in the eye performance, all backed by good hard rock. Kudos!
+Michael Johnson amen
+Michael Johnson 卧槽,哈哈
Loves Bites is my personal favourite song from Halestorm, but that Judas Priest cover Dissident Aggressor sounds damn good aswell! and this album is soo awesome too!!
You should try " in this moment " and " emilie Autumn "
Lzzy and Halestorm are awesome, but as awesome female rock voices go definitely also check out Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as well. She could be this generations signature female vocalist
I don't think that there is a limit to what Lzzy can do vocally. She can rock it so hard and sing like an angel. Her voice on that extended part really makes me feel something. Thanks for sharing your talent Lzzy!
This is the song I never knew I was waiting my whole fucking life for.
At this point I feel like I really need to thank you guys for uploading the whole album to your channel. I didn't get around to actually buy the record yet, so I am really thankful for you uploading it.
Thank you so much, guys! It really means a lot to me.
Ice phoenix I would recommend getting the CD. When I put the CD in, it blew me away. MP3 is compressed. I listen to this song over and over in my car. The sound explodes. Usually it doesn't matter but with this CD it does. MP3 to this album is like a silencer to a gun.
Ronnie Miller Obviously the quality of the sound of the CD is way better than these mp3s, no doubt and makes total sense. For now it's better than nothing at all though!
Ronnie Miller Listening to the full album is a beast because it is progressive. Kinda like Pink Floyd record...
Ice phoenix itrocks plus a poster
+KevinPaul06 Wouldn't exactly compare it with PF...
REALLY wish the ending piece was a full length song💗
The world needs more angels like this woman.
After all these years,I still can't get trough a week without listening to this banger at least once. One of their best songs in my opinion.
*I GOT A RINGIN' IN MY EARS GETTIN' READY TO BURST. SINGIN' HALLELUJAH MOTHA FUCKA, TAKE ME TO CHURCH*
Randy Speight she says screaming but yeah
I LIKE IT LOUDER THEN BOOM OF A BIG BASS DRAM. HEAD BANING (I can't remember the rest of the song)
Fucking burn, my girls came through.
My friend got me into Halestorm and i got her into Nirvana. Friendship.
cas the ass My friend Rick got me into ABBA and I got him into smoking mugwort. Friendship. R.I.P. Rick
You defiantly got the better deal of that arrangement....
I wish I had friends who like this kind of music, but they are all just into Rap or mainstream Pop 😧
you definitely got the upside of that trade :P
I'd pick Nirvana over Halestorm 🤘🏼
This is 100% MY KIND OF MUSIC!!!!
Today we lost Lemmy - this is a sad day for this record - but may we all rock on in memory...
I bet Lemmy liked it heavy ;)
Lemmy liked It heavier than Amy fucking Schumer
Lemmy didn't just like it heavy, he personified heavy.
0:43 “there’s a man down below that needs my sympathy”
that is a fucking GENIUS reference to Sympathy For The Devil by The Rolling Stones
This is a kick ass band, I am a old rocker from the 70s and 80s its good to have some good rock still around
58 here and I'll agree!
Listen too Volbeat
you should also try out In This Moment and The Pretty Reckless.
In This Moment has a song called Black Wedding that’s very clearly based off of White Wedding by Billy Idol, and they turned it into like a Halloween hard rock song, it’s very cool
also Death by Rock & Roll is a good one by The Pretty Reckless
49 here, and I couldn't agree more. This band gives me hope for the future of rock n' roll! And you can bet there are kids out there right now being inspired by hearing Halestorm to pick up a guitar and scream into a mic the way Lzzy and the guys were inspired by the old rockers of the 80's and 70's before them.
Couldn’t agree more🎶🪅♥️🤘
💘 ROCKA ROLLA..
If a Gotham Sirens movie ever comes out with Poison Ivy, Catwoman and Harley, they should use this!
Or if it's a series, Daughters of Darkness should be the main theme
Agreed

So Goooood!! That girl has got enough gravel iv her voice to re pave I90! So awesome!!!
Good Lord she can wail !!!
Never heard a girl throttle up with her voice like Lizzie.
I am 61 and still like it heavy.
This is, objectively (and hands down) one of the best songs ever. Pick your artist, pick your song, and put it up against this one, and its Halestorm FTW.
3:48 she have so amazing voice in that acapella part 😍😍
I'm falling in love with this band more and more. It's amazing!
I can't stop listening to this song
Man can this song pick me up on a rough day.
This is fucking awesome! Lzzy is the best! she never disappoints! her voice is so killer! I'll bet she could sing about any song ever written!
Love this group and Lzzy is very easy on the eyes. Cranked this tune so hard, I blew out my speakers.
This is one of the most exceptional overall albums from any genre I've heard in a long time. I am so glad that Lzzy and the guys decided to really push themselves creatively and with their songwriting. IMO this album is a lyrical masterpiece. And the mix of sounds and songs couldn't be better. They didn't stray to far from the hard rocking sound they are known for with some incredible heavy tracks like Mayhem, I Like It Heavy, Sick Individual, Gonna Get Mine, and a couple others. But what may set this album apart from the first 2 is the mixing in of some outstanding slower tracks with amazing lyrics and switching up using some bluesy and even a lil country sound to a couple tracks. The slower tracks like Dear Daughter, The Reckoning, and What Sober Couldn't Say really showcase Lzzy's lyrical songwriting capabilities along with her vocals and range, which should never be doubted as one of the best in any genre of music. Then Bad Girls World has a soulful blues feel to it. New Modern Love is something different than anything I've ever heard from them with a pop song sound and feel to it. But even that song has grown on me. I can see why they are so proud of this album because you can definitely see their creative growth throughout. If they continue to write and create music that pushes and interest them they will only become more and more successful. The whole album has that same raw emotional intensity you see everytime they take the stage. This will be without doubt the bands most successful album to date. I can easily see this producing them another Grammy. If you can't tell I give it an infinite amount of thumbs up.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!!!!
Michael West I personnally prefer the sound of the previous album, but this album also sounds great.
Michael West I totally agree. They it seems a bit more relaxed and natural feeling to the whole album and it still remains just as anthemic and energizing as their music usually is.
I totally agree with u this album is so incredible and amazing i can deftinalty hear the improvement in the lyrics and production on this album is amazing to each song gets more awesome and inspiring lzzy has one of the most incredible amazing voices ive ever heard and her voice shines through so much
I couldn't have said it better than Michael West and Johnson did. Halestorm is already one of my all time favorites and I have been listening since '74 ("Since I was thirteen years old I've had my fist to the sky"). "I Like it Heavy" is a Hard Rock Anthem for any decade with lyrics that can inspire any Headbanger. "If I can't feel it in my chest
I'm in the wrong damn place!", "Screaming "hallelujah, Mother F***** take me to church"", "I like it louder than the boom
Of a big bass drum" and on and on - this song is the ultimate Love song for Rock and Roll Hard and Heavy.
Well said!
i would like it a thousand times,if i could !
God that girl can sing!!!!! Makes me dance while I'm working and don't care who sees me!!!!!!
This song is unreal. So perfect.
I saw Halestorm on August 7 2013 when they opened for Alice Cooper. Lzzy was great.
LOVE HALESTORM!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an anthem!!!!
Damn! She can "SAAANG"! ❤❤❤🎉
How have I not heard this before?!?!? This is easily one of my favorite Halestorm songs! So soft and then rip your effing head off! I love it!!!

Take me home tonight I, do anything with you
Buy a bottle of whiskey, we'll get matching tattoos
Tell me that you love me, oh let me drive your car
We can sit to morning light, just countin' every stars
'Cause if there's a Hell, I'll meet you there
And if there's a Heaven, they're serving beer
And if you're an angel then, I must be high
Oh if there's a church, it's rock 'n roll
If there's a devil, I sold my soul
And it's alright whatever we do tonight
'Cause if there's a God dammit she won't mind
If there's a God, baby she won't mind
Sanitized Lyrics...it's "hallelujah mother fucker take me to church"...here, live, and on the radio I've heard it just dropped out or I've heard it slip by (I'm sure some do-gooder was offended and called the FCC on them...A-Holes)....
@@WreckDiver99 I know
Why do people do this when it is in the description?

yeah me too felt the same !! ''hate myself loving you'' right ?
Good call but she's WAY better!!!
Have you seen their latest song? Joan Jett ALL THE FREAKING WAY! Voice, Look, Sound...all Joan Jett...and loving it!
Not surprising. Lzzy has said that Joan was one of her inspirations. Both fantastic musicians.
Definitely felt that too. Liking it.

well this is heavier than I remember it being
Also, holy shit THAT ENDING!!! perfection as always
I'm so grateful for the album being online. I don't have the money to waste on an album, so thanks for letting me experience the brilliance of Halestorm.
It wouldn't be wasting money.
U are cheap
Even if the rest of the album was terrible (which, for the record, it definitely isn't), this song would make up for it, and then some!
BeanzMachinez Hehe, for the record. As in record=album. Gnehehehe
BeanzMachinez terrible? Oh please...
Gabriel Lunardi Have you actually read the whole post?
+Gabriel Lunardi production is actually really bad. Strange case of was much better
Don´t you like " Amen"?

this deserves millions of views
OMG am 50 AND WOW I LOVE THIS !!! Brings me back to the days when we used to party heavy :)
Now this is a great song to start your day with!
It is for you
Omg I am now relating to this. I just got into rock and they are the first rock/metal band I saw and I am 13 years old. And I am raising my fists to the sky. I'm prouuuud XD
That ending part is amazing! and this song is the perfect song for Dean Winchester in Supernatural especially that last part lol
Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy... nice references...
***** Also, Ride the Lightening - Metallica. I'm sure there are more but I'd need to be paying more attention.
Forgot the stones.
"Screaming hallelujah, motherf*cker take me to church" best like ever
When people ask me what my favorite TF2 class is
This song is my current obsession. I love it. It spoke to me in a few different ways, but one is embarrassing, and the other is personal. But thank you so much for it.
Love this song
On the general, I like other metal and rock bands. But when it comes down to it, this is what I'm represented by.
I like the volume harder than 10 . If the windows aint shacking, if I can't feel it in my chest, I'm in the wrong dammed place.
guys its 8d audio, get your headphones NOW
You Tube, what is music? It's what we would like to watch and listen too instead of your constantly repeated and boring ad's. Glad I could clear that up. Now, play the music and leave the ad's where they can be ignored as nature intended!
