    LYRICS
Jenny died of suicide with a candle burning in her eye
But on my tombstone when I go
Just put death by rock n roll
John forgot what he was on so he broke the needle dead and gone
But on my tombstone when I go
Just put death by rock n roll
I wanna go with a shotgun blast
I wanna go with a woman on her back
I want to go with balls I won’t pray
I want to go with this bottle in my veins
I want to go I want to go I want to go out my way
Amy shot and killed a man with a gun too heavy in her hand
But on my tombstone when I go
Just put death by rock n roll
Janey had steel in her bones but she burned away a blood into Stone
But on my tombstone when I go
Just put death by rock n roll
I want to go with a shotgun blast
I want to go with a woman on her back
I want to go with this sickness in my throat
I want to go killed by rock ‘n’ roll I wanna
I want to go I want to go I want to go out my way
I want to go with a shotgun blast
I want to go with in a motorcycle crash
Out on my own, I don’t need to be saved
I want to go out my way
But on my tombstone when I go
Just put death by rock n roll

She lost many people close to her at short intervals. Probably the most traumatic was the death of the producer who was with her from the very beginning (died in a motorcycle crash). A little more and she would have become part of the 27 club, but no.
The footsteps at the beginning of the song are an old recording of the producer's footsteps. "I Wanna go out my way" is like a message to the world. She didn't gave up, she keeps going.
The phrase "dead by Rock and roll" also belonged to the producer
A sad story, an incredibly wonderful song.

(fun facts) Jenny is her last film/TV role. Jenny's suicide may be a metaphor for the end of a screen career
Other names in the song belong to rockers who died early
"I wanna go with a woman on her back" may confirm theories about her bisexuality

Most of these new so called rock bands sound more pop, rap and hip hop than rock and just like a majority of pop, rap and hip hop these so called rock bands overuse this autotune technology probably because their natural singing voice sucks. Hello Upper East siders
Anyone know where jenny Humphrey has been?
      Rumor has it
      Jenny Died of suicide
She had a candle still burning in her eye
We hear that she wanted "Death by rock and roll" on her tombstone
      XoXo Gossip Girl

You're missing out on a fantastic world, rock and roll has more and more female singers or band members. And not being sexualized by men "on top". I recommend Maria Brink from In This Moment, amazing voice and she even did a song along with Rob Halford, "Black Wedding", another fantastic rock singer. And yet another with Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides, an amazing soundtrack for DC. So many albums I'm holding back not to count...
Look...Don't compare a woman in rock with men in rock, as if she's the only one that exists among these men. Don't actually compare any group of women and men in rock (or anywhere), as if they were that little stat that managed to shine. Instead, if you want to compare, compare with other women or do this kind of gender comparison no longer at the table.
Comparing by itself takes away the shine and unique essence that an artist has, however, this kind of comparison between genres, just because they are from different genres, is worse. You would be narrowing down and invalidating an entire gender, just because you would be doing it with, for example, a smaller group with a larger group or a single person with an entire group. Even more in relation to women, which is more fragile, because this comparison has been made for so long and shows how women do not have as much strength in rock as men and that's why you, probably, people don't know so many female voices in rock and Roll. Not including those sexed by members or bosses.
I hope I made it clear. Rock and roll.

I thought rock n roll was dead and gone.no new music worth listening too.then a hand from the grave reaches out and grab the microphone. And rock and roll was re born the music the beat the licks the grooves. Everything magically fits together. Now I can bang my head. What a brilliant job. Kudos

The band I'm in is covering this so as a drummer I really appreciate it. The timing is cool. A 10 count until you come back in? Genius.
