Hi Lilevo, Your videos are great! For the tensioner hex is it 6mm indefinitely? I have a project that is halted. Would you recommend the T40 Torx bit or use that as a last resort to ensure not cracking the bolt. 6mm won't fit using a hex bit socket currently. 5.5mm fits but won't budge. Considering heating up and trying again. If it is stripped from 5.5 trials is the only option left T40 and get a replacement bolt. Sorry for all over but you clearly are seasoned and there is a lot of skipped data in other flows. Thank you for your time
I would probably use a yellow mapp torch to heat up the bolt then try the 5.5mm. It should pop loose. Worst case you can cut the tensioner in pieces around the bolt and have more access to the bolt head.
Same thing with the 2GR-FE V6 in every Toyota/Lexus with their water pump. Aisin is their oem supplier, and I ordered a water pump from Amazon. Same part as the Toyota OEM but a 1/5th of the price.
i hope its a aisin part, aisin is one of the highest quality part suppliers for vehicles. i own hondas and when i can get aisin i pay the price...im a technician myself so i dont like putting junk parts even though i can change them i dont want too. it sucks working on your own vehicle lol.
Yeah AISIN is a Japanese OEM supplier. They make all the automatic transmissions for Toyota Lexus. No issues with them. Dayco however *head shake* @@sambeagle72
I can confirm this as ive pulled the OEM part myself from a 2013 LS. It's terrible switch away from NTN, NTK japanese parts
