You’d think he woulda stopped after Colm left him the first finger…
If I cut off one of my fingers every-time someone annoyed me, my hands would be stumps before I started middle school.
You have a very good taste in film for a elementary school student.
@@antiwokejohn9501 I meant looking back to the annoying kids I’ve dealt with in elementary school
I’m an adult now and still deal with annoying people.
Commitment to the bit world champion.
The other bar guys are hilarious 😂 best scene of the movie 😂
That sounds like some old timey kinkaelic lullaby the man with no fingers
What a lullaby
All these because Colm he was trying to live his life......
He was just bored and dramatic. He chose to create this conflict and make it as dramatic as possible.
I wonder why Colm didn't just call the police to report Padraic stalking him. Could have saved him five fingers.
@@thecriticalhit A very fair point indeed....besides, I don't think cops took "Annoyance harrasment" issues as seriously back then as they do today...and the only cop we see in the film is an uncaring asshole. So maybe Colm really WAS down to that as his only option to get Padraic to back off.
It was 100 years ago in Ireland. The only cop in town was openly beating the shit out of and molesting his kid. I don’t think he gave two shits about their broken friendship or stalking.
They only have 1 cop on that island..lol
He admits later on that he thinks he might have just been cutting his fingers off as some form of entertainment… he’s clearly sick of his dull life.
It's because he still cares about Padraic in the way a friend would usually care - he understands every reason for Colm following him and he knows it would make the situation harder for Padraic if he used the police against him for just outrageous curiosity and hurt.
Why can't some people just leave other people alone? Jesus
I know, right?
He was his friend? Not his fault for being empathetic and wanting to help a mate going through a rough time who has no family
That's quite a shallow take, honestly
