Your story with working with your dad in the garage and cars, makes me think back on my childhood and life. I was always out in the garage with my dad watching him work on motors and painting cars. My favorite car is a 55 Chevy 2 door hardtop. My dad had 5 of those, restored them and they were so awesome. I love the smell of gas, exhaust, oil lol people say I’m weird haha. It’s my life though, I’ve got a 73 Chevy square body with a big block in it a 454, an 81 Chevy square body with a 350 in it, an 02 GMC Sierra 2500 with a 6.0, lifted 9 inches and an 07 avalanche rare XLT with a 6.0 in it as well lifted. I fixed the motors in my 73 & 81 and I owe it to my daddy for teaching and showing me how. I’m just a small skinny girl lol but I know my way around motors. I work on my sons car a lot and teach him different things on everything I’m working on. My husband and their daddy passed away in 2006 and it’s just been me and my kids ever since. I’m mom and dad in one and I feel I’ve done a great job with my kids. My Dylan is now 17 and a senior in high school. Even though his daddy isn’t here with us anymore, he’s going to survive and make it in this world and leave his name imprinted everywhere he goes. His buddy’s think it’s the coolest thing to see my sons mom out there wrenching on cars and if they have any mechanical issues they always call me. Makes me feel good that I can help 🥰🥰.
