Inspiring. My boyfriend who's 52 was assaulted by 5 young men who beat his head 09/04/21. He was a surfer, avid runner & loved to dance. One day at a time. My TBI guy just started ABI.

This is so inspiring to me, I suffered a massive stroke 3 years ago from stress and am Partially Paralyzed on my left side. I was a medical technician before and want to work so badly. I am a stroke recovery coach now, but this makes me want to go out and do more. Thank you for sharing. ♥️

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this and have sent it to my grandson to watch as he also has had a traumatic brain injury. There is a lot I find really encouraging watching Aiden. Firstly his attitude and the way he keeps pushing himself to get better. We can all take a leaf out of his book.

Amazing how Aiden was able to go from being in a wheelchair to walking and to continue self rehabilitation at the gym. Btw, that personal trainer is pretty awesome. Like his perspective on how Aiden's arm/hand and leg can continue to get better with a certain type of exercising and by relaxing those muscles (while exercising) to improve their functionality.

@@zachall101 I watched it again, trying to see whether I did "miss out" on a very negative aspect. After trying to understand your perspective, I can only say it amazes me how people can come to such wildly different assessments from the same video. I am against racism entirely and have friends of different cultures and races, but "went to sort it out" (what his mom said) and "defended his racist friend" (what you wrote) aren't the same thing. I don't know if he ever told the other guy to stop or not, but if they were driving past each other there wasn't even an opportunity for the acquaintance to continue saying whatever he was saying (I presume it was a "he" but that isn't even clear). It sounds like one guy said 1 bad thing (unclear what it even was) while 2 cars were driving past each other, and then this occurred. So it seems that you are reading a lot into things here that weren't stated in the video and coming to a very negative opinion. You seem to suggest that he somehow deserved what happened to him (a life-threatening and certainly a life-altering brain injury) because an acquaintance said something "unacceptable". I don't agree with that, but I will simply agree with you that racism is unacceptable. Maybe you can agree that given his current circumstances, he has made the best of it. Peace.

Good reason to know the people that you're with and not start shit, especially on the road. Not saying he deserved what happened since it wasn't even him that yelled out of the car, but I don't understand why people are acting like this was unprovoked. He put himself in a bad position by stopping and getting out of his car thinking he could somehow reason with the other person.

Aidan you rock sweetheart. It’s so refreshing to meet you. In a way, it made me feel like a bag of lazy, fat human flesh though. I’ve got Cerebral Palsy and basically lost the ability to stand when my hip gave out in 2008.
I go through phases of doing my daily exercises properly. Then I end up self medicating with food and sugar, end up gaining another 5 Ibs. feeling depressed, fat and disgusting.
Now I’m working on going vegan. I still eat chicken, turkey mince and ham right now, but only while I’m working on finding replacements that aren’t vile. Red meat and dairy are gone now. I still like fish though coz it’s so good for us! I dunno maybe I’m a pescatarian?
Lol anyway. I’m proud of you mate! Keep on keeping on!

One thing I like about light-skinned people they don't have fears on getting help in holding and holding the are getting help in the right way I like that about them that's why I enjoy being around them they encourage me and give me strength to fight and fight for myself and my family and to move on in this life I learned a lot from them that's why I said I would like to be your friend because being your friend I learn a lot from them I'm not that far as far as in the head or out of the head because I have not had the privilege if they had and neither has my parents I don't think and if they did they didn't put it to use like some of the other or they didn't it was worth the fight for what they believed in and held on to it so we can have a future and plan to look you have everything I noticed see from the beginning I have nothing but memories from my beginning I black out what I think is really bad bad bad bad and I covered with everything I think is good good good good good good this way I don't see it and I grow I grow without hatred to hurt and harm or whatever to learn to accept people and enjoy people even through that whatever I learned to overlooked it and accept and get what I need out of it and what I don't need I just don't worry about it I see you live that way you like that you're very forward and you speak out you're not hurting anyone and you it's not in your heart to me you just say what's on your mind I am like that too I get this life because I'm not in the race to be able to speak out or to look upon that I can speak out when I'm not around my own and because of my own people that is my race shift so much hardship or whatever they are too touchy so even with me I have to be careful what I say because I'll end up getting beat up and carrying on also haha haha so these are things that we can laugh about today and cry also but we'd rather laugh I choose to laugh not to cry so much how about you.?

Almost 4 months ago my brother
Had a heart attack and as a result have hypoxic brain injuury...
initially he can only open his eyes with limited look around movement..
    now
He can move his lips tongue eyebrows elbow, feet finger, shoulder and head ..but very little. And he yawns too
Almost after a month he started breathing on his own... initially was put on a ventilator
    ..
He was initially having food through NG tube now doctors have inserted through stomach what they say as "peg tube".
He also have tracheostomy tube in the neck
Also mri scans have shown global or severe hypoxic brain injuury
    He is only 33
    .
he also produce tears in both eyes..
he cannot even control his head ...
    ...
Right now he is discharge from the hospital and we are caring for at home we are doing physiotherapy ourselves.
To protect him from bed sores
We are changing his position every hour on bed
