To add some more context around the song, as others have said, this song and the rest of the album Circles was finished after Mac overdosed on fentanyl in September of 2018, which is why all the music videos are just visualizers and old home movie clips. This was the first single released off the album, over a year after his death. I think the Good News everyone wants to hear from Mac is how glamorous his Rockstar life is. But no one wants to hear about the anxieties that came with it. So Mac used cocaine and other drugs to fly above his pain. Everyone around him, including himself, could see the path it was leading to and that made it uncomfortable to be around Mac, but what's the difference when you feel there's no one there to help with your struggles besides the drugs. A really sad chorus that is just so damn catchy.

The song was finished after he passed sadly, along with the rest of this album. They made "visualizer" videos for every song on the project.
