The beauty of her is breathtaking. I am 73, did some gymnastics in high school and my appreciation of her goes beyond words. I love watching every move she makes

All I can say is WOW
❤ the 21st century is an amazing time to be an African-American female. Although we are often ridiculed and belittled by the world these young athletic women. Are intelligent and they set the bar high and they bring their A-game every time and they are just young black and talented excellent women. I wish I was a young woman again so that I could emulate these amazing young black women of Excellence of today Simone the to Samoans the track field track and field stars Gabby Thomas you know we're not going to college getting liberal arts degrees anymore we're getting neurobiology at Harvard degrees I don't care what anybody said that is setting the bar really high and I encourage today's young black women to reach high and break those real and every president glass ceilings and just be beautiful talented and excellent

There is a weird part of me that wants Simone to have had to compete compulsories which ended in 96 yet still have the code of today in optionals. In its heyday compulsories and optionals were combined in your total AA score. Many gymnasts back then from the west had great optionals yet were terrible at compulsories. It was such a balance to be great at both. Compulsory brought good technique because of you didn’t have it your score would show. I turn good technique brought difficulty because if you didn’t have technique your optionals were dangerous.
I 100% believe in ice skating and Gymnastics the powers that be need to reinstate compulsories. While it’s exciting to watch the jumps in skating and the tricks in gymnastics, both are more of X Game material. It’s to the point that floor music is no longer needed. There is little artistry and connection to it.
The grace needed is gone. In gymnastics there are two events where the tricks a must, vault and bars, and two that years of the true all around the floor and beam. Graceful arms and hands and body movement highlight the tricks.
