Hello everyone, I hope your Friday is going well. I know this is a bit of a shorter video, but hopefully the next one will be back to standard. Also, there is an easter egg in the video, can you find it? Have a nice day
I actually liked this particular mechanic that was also present in Dark Souls 2. If you take a careful look at your armour, it would be covered in poison from top to bottom if you rolled in it, but if you just walked across it, it would only be near your boots and would come off much faster.
in Sekiro, there are geckos that spit poison in the water near the end of the tutorial (before geni.) With optimal play (and rng,) Sekiro could probably be shaved down to under a minute imo. Great video! edit: I realized I should clarify that "under a minute" would mean skipping kuro, as you can still navigate the area, you just can't progress past the tutorial until you talk to kuro. I'm not sure if it is possible to get to the geckos (and survive enough hits to be poisoned) without getting the sword, as I have never tried it or seen anyone try it. If you cannot skip the sword, then I don't think sub-minute would be possible.
You got me on the first Dark Souls. I thought for sure it would be Valley of Drakes, then the giants on the way into Blighttown, not even Blighttown itself. Forgot all about that rat.
Man, I got to hang out with my friends today, go out to the mall to watch a movie, and Mr. Metagross uploaded a video about my favorite proc status? Today's a good day.
Lol, I kept wondering what would be the fastest way to get poisoned in ER, kept thinking of one of those poison dungeons or some stray flower somewhere. As soon as you mentioned starting with stonesword keys I realized I'm a fucking idiot.
I loved the Disposal Valley in Eternal Ring, their older game, even the bloody air itself is poisonous. I wonder if it was there where Miyazaki got inspiration for all of this
In sekiro you can get poisoned in less than 1 or 2 minutes, by easily jumping into the water pit before the secret pathway, there are a few poison lizards there
I was thinking the Reservoir had something. I tried getting the lizards down there to spit poison but I couldn't get them to do. There is also the Rat Assasin guy underneath the bridge, I haven't gotten him to do his poison attack either edit: After more testing, I DID get the lizard's to poison me before Genichiro
That Dark Cloud 2 OST at the beginning was a welcome surprise! Also, with that pause at the DS2 title screen, I thought I was gonna hear a ZeroLenny "They made another one?!?!?!?" Lol
For Dark Souls 3, instead of killing Vordt and going that way could you kill Dancer and go to the left towards Oceiros and get poisoned there? I can't remember if its poison or toxic over there. Also yes Dancer is a much tougher fight than Vordt but its a lot of running for the Vordt route.
I'm pretty sure you don't need to grab the finger in elden ring to proceed. Though I could be wrong because it's been some time since I did a new game.
For DS3, Thief start would be faster because bleed destroys Gundyr. You can still get down to Road of Sacrifices with quickstep fall damage cancels. You can also kill Dancer and get toxic from Consumed King's Garden in ~6 minutes, but that doesn't really count. (also take off your armor jfc lmao)
Ds2 would probably be the fastest as you can kill the maid and grannies. Might even 1 hit them. Dark Souls 1 if you can beat the Crestfallen Knight. Maybe Dark Souls 3 if you book it to Sword Master outside Firelink and have him fall off. Don't think you can do that in Sekiro if we're talking NPC's. Bloodborne may be dead last because you'd have to get through Gascoigne to the Chapel Dweller. You don't actually kill Gherman if you hit him he just leaves because you're rude.
Not sure if you tried this and it was just slower but would it be faster to just instantly fight Dancer instead of Vordt and then instantly go to the Consumed King’s Garden and get poisoned there? I’m not sure if a fight with Dancer would be longer than this route or not
The fact that there's 5 to 6 games in this series, and this video is only 11 minutes long, should tell you a little bit about how much this series hates you
Miyazaki doesn't actually direct the games anymore. The dev team just asks for Miyazaki's professional opinion on how dirty the maiden's feet should be in the next game they're making
Hello everyone, I hope your Friday is going well. I know this is a bit of a shorter video, but hopefully the next one will be back to standard.

Aren't there geckos at the bottom of the reservoir before Genichiro? Or do those not have poison?
@@gaszwyn449 Yes, but this is much earlier in the game.
@@gaszwyn449 (relatively speaking)
@@crampedcasket3887 Ashina Reservoir is literally the first area of the game
Now try the cursed status effect or its equivalent. Sadly not all games are applicable.
how fast can you get "this door opens from another side" in every souls game?
I'd definitely watch this
A good one!
That's neat
Very good idea!
2 seconds in Bloodborne lol
Fun fact. Rolling in poison in elden ring makes your poison meter build up considerably faster. Meaning it would probably shave a second off
I actually liked this particular mechanic that was also present in Dark Souls 2. If you take a careful look at your armour, it would be covered in poison from top to bottom if you rolled in it, but if you just walked across it, it would only be near your boots and would come off much faster.
Yeah that seems cool, but why are there so many pits with damage inducing liquids, fire swamps poison swamps, rot swamps...
Although wierdly, rolling in lava is actually a good idea.
It also keeps building up even if you arent in the poison anymore
Finally someone plays Fromsoft games the way Michealzaki intended. Godspeed to you
What about Skumnuts first ever leg only elden ring run?
The fact that he makes the poison swamps on some kind of dazed trance is hilarious
Thanks for the shoutout, but I have only speedrun to feet once, okay twice.

I'm pretty sure there's geckos before the secret passive where you face genny. I could be wrong
There are
Later in the game though.
@@crampedcasket3887 no they're there from the start.
There is even geckos before the first Big snake section
Also next to the ogre are some

... favorite?
Sounds like a very cool day indeed
@@baggedbread Why not?
@@crampedcasket3887 ... poison?!
@@baggedbread Sure, well, I mean't that as a joke, but if you think about it, it's actually not as bad as it seems like at the time... anyways, yeah.
You can get the Elden Ring one slightly quicker by rolling in the poison. It causes it to build up quicker
I'm pretty sure there are some lizards chilling in the tutorial before you even call Kuro over
YOOOO DARK CLOUD MUSIC 😤😤😤
Lol, I kept wondering what would be the fastest way to get poisoned in ER, kept thinking of one of those poison dungeons or some stray flower somewhere. As soon as you mentioned starting with stonesword keys I realized I'm a fucking idiot.
I love these types of videos, I don't know why but they are always so fun. If you do this again, maybe try how fast you can get bled (bleeded?)
I loved the Disposal Valley in Eternal Ring, their older game, even the bloody air itself is poisonous. I wonder if it was there where Miyazaki got inspiration for all of this
My head just EXPLODED when I realized you were using the sewers theme from Jak 3. Loved it!! 😂❤
This was so cool. It was really fun to watch. And you are a chad for that levels dex gundyr joke
Hitting me with that nostalgia instantly with Dark Cloud 2 music
It got me too
Finally new content... it felt like forever
Waiting for the A type player that’s gonna make this a real category
0:00 “I used to be an adventurer like you” looking ass
Honestly I never considered the fact they look very similar
a unique concept and tastefully compiled together. good work here

Metagross out here reinventing the wheel
That Dark Cloud 2 OST at the beginning was a welcome surprise!
Also, with that pause at the DS2 title screen, I thought I was gonna hear a ZeroLenny "They made another one?!?!?!?" Lol
What a fun and different kind of video.
a lot of inventive solutions in this one, very nice
Thinking of Fromsoft staples, Moonlight Greatsword is another. Probably insanely long.
I was so proud of myself for knowing about the rat in Firelink, bahahaha!!
Another hit video from the best pseudo legendary (and pokemon overall)
Theres no gas station sushi in the souls game so itll be pretty difficult
Love these sorts of challenge runs! This was a lot of fun. Thanks Meta!

Outside Oceiros is def a toxic swamp, so I don't think it'd count for this
Don’t the rats in Undead Settlement inflict poison?
@@youmgsandwicheNo but the Giant Rats do. But they inflict enough damage to kill a player with low Vigor before the poison meter fills up.
Aren't there poison lizards at the beginning of Sekiro? Before genichiro
Very interesting idea for a video. Already wanting more content 😅
no og demons souls run invalid.
jokes aside this was super entertaining lmao
Jak and Daxter sewer theme in the background on point
The Dark Cloud 2 music hit me so hard!!! Man i LOVED that game!
Me too, awesome game
I'm wondering if for DS3 doing Dancer early would be faster. There's a poison swamp in Oceiros' courtyard, after all
The Dancer fight itself would take longer than the current run
I thought that was a toxic swamp
Challenge idea: Get ! POISONED ! with expired food and try to beat the game, but every time you puke you have to start again
Itd be funnier if it was every time he squirted shit.
If you roll in the pioson in elden ring you could save a coupler of seconds
Pointless note, you actually dont need the sugar to get the sneak attack on the chained ogre although i guess if you want to run up to him you need it
Didnt expect message therefore praise message!
In DS3 pre patch you could have used the Dancer skip to get into the poison swamp outside Osiros
I loved this video !
Mother 3 music!
Your videos are fantastic please make more! A Dark Souls 2 challenge run would be amazing!
I'm pretty sure you don't need to grab the finger in elden ring to proceed. Though I could be wrong because it's been some time since I did a new game.
do the instant death status effects.
What about the lizards in ashina resuvoir
That's a very interesting and cool video but damn dude no one's gives a shit about it in DeS remake we wanna know on the original
Great video
Thanks!

We need more funny runs like this.
how fast can you get instant death (curse/terror/petrify/deathblight) ?
Darksouls fartbog%
Fun similar idea, how fast you van make it to each soulsborne games star poison swamp.
How fast can you get "invaded by"
Couldnt you fight dancer and then go to the ocerius poison swamp
If you hit Vordt head with an charged attack while charging the ice attack he get stance broken
Now we just need “How fast can get poisoned by the worse poison of each game in each game”
@MrMetagross Can't you get poisoned in Sekiro by the two Lizards in the lower level of the tutorial area, even before the Genichiro tutorial fight?
Dark cloud music?
How fast can you murder someone in each game? Not an enemy, killing is different than murder after all.
Ds2 would probably be the fastest as you can kill the maid and grannies. Might even 1 hit them.
Dark Souls 1 if you can beat the Crestfallen Knight.
Maybe Dark Souls 3 if you book it to Sword Master outside Firelink and have him fall off.

Bloodborne may be dead last because you'd have to get through Gascoigne to the Chapel Dweller. You don't actually kill Gherman if you hit him he just leaves because you're rude.
Bloodborne can do Eileen, but good luck.
@@TheMoogleKing93 forgot about Eileen. Might be the second fastest if you can make it there and slap her around and off the edge of the rafters.
@@alastor8091sword master isn't murder, that's self defense
@@frazfrazfrazfraz he has the right to defend his side of Fire Link. Everyone has their property, so does he. 2A rights.
How fast can you see an NPC’s feet in each souls game.
Might be too fast if enemies count
I think im the only one who remembers the rat in DS1, because i always get fucked by them
Next up: how quickly can you "dispatch" a bare-footed woman in every souls game.
How fast can you get smacked by a guy hiding behind a door or hallway in every souls game
How fast you can get an insta-kill effect (curse, terror, death blight)
How about same consept but with meeting Patches :D ?
fantastic

Consumed King's Garden is toxic, not poison
In dark souls 3 it would faster to summon a player to poison you
What if in ds3 you go for early dancer and go to the garden before Ocerios?
How fast can you see a npc’s bare feet

Aren't there Poison Geckos in Ashina Reservoir in the beginning of the game?

No, but those inflict toxic not poison anyways

DemonSouls remake? Run invalid.
Disliked for hating the best souls game (ds2)
I don't understand why you put an emphasis on not having poison resistance when having endurance would clearly help
Hang on in sekiro, isn't can't you get poisoned by gekos before tutorial boss in the green water??
Dark Cloud 2 house music on the explanation 🥹
Fromsoftware UA-camrs during content drought be like
Bare footed women > the rest of the options posed in the beginning
sekiro isn't a souls game tho
Agreed but I decided to throw it in anyways
These games are so toxic
Elden ring and sekiro are spin offs and a disappointment to "souls like" games. Bloodborne is so much more of a souls game but still a spin off.
UA-camrs are really running out of ideas.
Tell me about it.
Oh god, grow up. It's a topic that interests some, and not others. Find better things to do than deride people for their utterly harmless pastimes.
