FUNFACT: Since Qulaag's fury sword is a chaos weapon, the fire damage on it will scale with how many humanities you have in your counter, next to your health bar. It does cap at 10 humanities, but it can still provide a pretty nice boost in damage.

This one was really snappy and I liked it! I understand there's lots you couldn't find to say, but as far as the actual procession of it, and how you kept things moving, built tension where possible, handed out bits of advice and did funny tricks, you know, all the storytelling things, I quite liked it!
Your two vids before this one just got me through sleeping in a Walmart parking lot in my car lol crazy to wake up and see you uploaded another. Great content, keep it up!
If you play on pc, steam lets you change your controller inputs, and even create some macros. If you are then playing with a controller you can make a custom macro (w key + r1) and bind it to whatever button you want. I did the same with jump attack and binded it to both back paddles on my controller. Works pretty neat.

I have seen so many challenge runs, but, man, I have never seen ones this convoluted and restricted. These are awesome. I know this is 3 months old at this point. But I've watched all of your videos two times over, and just felt like I had to share my appreciation of your hard work.
absolutely one of my favorite part of dark souls is how much love they show to each and every type of unique weapon. Id never seen the cool backflip animations for those weapons before so Im glad you got to show me!
i feel like i’m early to the party with your channel, which is awesome because all of your challenge runs you’ve posted so far have been a good combination of actually challenging and unique! love the vids!
You are awesome, man. I'm loving these challenges that you are doing. I'm currently working on getting Knight's Honor on Remastered and beating Scholar for the first time. :)
A tip for anybody that wants to do this run. You can rebind heavy attack to make jump attacks more consistent. Everybody is different, but mainly Q is used for the right hand heavy attack. It is a lot easier to press Q + W at the same time rather than the cursed controller controls. This does obviously come at the cost of using Keyboard and mouse, but you can always switch out for the fights. edit: My bad I realized that the backflip uses the normal attack. Principle is the same just rebind the right weapon action (attack) to Q. Great video once again.
Personally, I think challenge runs with little caveats is more fun to experience even as watchers. I tried a Cuphead peashooter only playthrough and allowed myself to choose use a different shot after about 25 or so tries. I only felt the need to do this for Honeybottoms and the Devil as I am nowhere near good enough at Cuphead to actually do full peashooter, but I'm happy with how it turned out
When I first saw this video I was confused “what kind of backflip does damage?” And then I opened the video and saw the scimitar 😂. I absolutely love the creativity in those challenge runs.

Steam input is a godsend for fixing some control jank with Fromsoft games. It took me less than a minute to open the controller settings in the shift+tab Steam overlay, enable Steam input, and then "add command" to R1 -> gamepad -> forward left stick. Left Steam overlay and now every R1 input from a neutral position on the analogue stick is always a kick/backflip.
if obscure challenges like this are a recurring trend, may i make a suggestion of doing a run using only weapon specials? like for example the dragon weapon 2 handed R2s? and using havel's shield R2 instead of blocking?
you know when you kill the gargoyles and ring their bell, an npc appears at the bottom of the bell tower you can immediately buy a purging stone from him on the cheap with some of the souls from gargoyles
Surprisingly no one ever made such run. Congratulations for discovering something never has been created I'm feeling a bit sorry for not seeing backstep attacks of rapiers. Doing pretty same run seems pointless. Or is it? Also I have a question which doesn't match with video: how much my English is potato?
Wanted to mention calm and peaceful ending of this video. Don't know why, maybe it was just the right moment (before going to bed), but it was so pleasant
You can skip getting the dark moon seance ring by jumping into the statue blocking your path and quitting the game while you're in the rolling animation. This will cause the game to think you're clipped into the statue and it will deload the object to save you from getting stuck. This works for the boulder doors in the asylum and sens fortress as well
@@MrMetagross I can not for the life of me find the clip of it, I'm sorry. this is Zullie the Witch's video on why it works ua-cam.com/video/UvUA6-P8ZT4/v-deo.html They claim that it took them a while to get it to work with the manserpent wall, but it's a consistent technique with the statue blocking you from Gwyndolyn.
