    awesome to watch!!! i am consistently late to the party, and only just watched Midori and Hobonichi systems this past month. Honestly if i was Cinderella i would not have left the house in time to make it to the ball. I am very excited to try this because I prefer homemade things and this is PERFECT. I do mixed media work and like to bind the folios into books when i am complete with them. This will give me the absolute perfect space to hold my work while in progress. And because i work in file folder size the hanging folders are perfect and i have an abundance in my studio.So very happy to have found your page.

    So cool, I want quick and easy, I don’t want messing around, I don’t need a thick book, I will watch over and over, plus look at the original, but I think this will be a style I use for myself, Thank you, I’m interested to know if several years later you still use this style, Thanks xx😁🧡🇬🇧

      It has been awhile since I used this style. Not because I didn't like it, simply because I enjoy the process of binding signatures with a pamphlet stitch. But this one is a great one to get a journal made quickly and simply for use.

    Hi Debbie thank you so much for this tutorial. I have followed along and now it's done, the only problem I've had is that I made my signatures different sizes but I don't think it looks too bad. I am now going to put some pockets etc on to the pages. Thank you once again I have saved this in my favourites so I don't loose it and also it's so quick to make. My scrap drawer is now a little bit less cluttered xxxx

    Thank you for your video with elastic binding for book. I'm looking for a way to put a large book together. I've sewn it and it did not come out well. I'm wondering if I can use ribbon instead of bookbinding thread? And unfortunately the phone are huge and it looks just terrible. This is my first foray into book binding and making a journal. Thanks so much if you have any suggestions for me I would love to hear them. Thank you very much.😊

    This is a lovely job to create a workable solution for binding junk journals. Would you be willing to share specifically what book binding cloth you used for this type of file material and where you get it from? Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. ❤

      Hi Julia, I purchased book cloth remnants from a seller either on eBay or Etsy, but it was almost 10 yrs ago so that's as specific as I can get. I think there's book cloth tape that could do a similar job, or even canvas/fabric. Thank you for watching!

    I would imagine that if you had a wider spine you could make multiple holes for more signature pages? Like say double the ones you had in this video; use TWO elastic bands through 2 sets of holes in the spine that would hold the 3 signatures each?

    Could share with me what size eyelets you use if your journal is made from chip board? And where can I find a roll of black or gold elastic for binding? Thank you so much...I love this video, it has helped me a lot. 😀

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  2 роки тому

      I'm not sure I understand the eyelet question but i typically use my Cropadile tool to punch holes and set 3/16" eyelets. Elastic cording can be purchased in craft stores and fabric.stores. This project was so long ago that I can't remember where I ordered mine but it could have been Amazon. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching!

    I was only going to use just 2 signatures. Do I still use 2 cords, or do they both go in the same cord? Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It was really helpful!

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  5 років тому

      You'll see if you create it, that you must either have one signature or three. The only way to create this with 2 signatures is to punch the cord holes side by side and inserting them that way.

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  4 роки тому

      It was a long time ago but it may have been 2 or 3mm? What I can tell you is that the quality varies greatly, so if you can find some in person rather than online, you'd have a better idea by the tightness. My first purchase back then was too stretchy.
