Thank you for that. I was confused when I watched your pianola video, as you mentioned hinges a few times, and I wasn't sure what you meant. After seeing this video, I realize I know what it means as I have done it before for my large journals. But, the way you do it is so much easier (folding in the middle first, adding a little glue, sewing). I love it. Tfs
Thank you so much. I had a vague idea of somehow hinging my pages, but didnt realize that I have lits more work to do to get these journals ready for the craft fair that I'm planning on participating in.
Thank you for this video. Now I can buy some of the single page digital journal kits that I was afraid to buy because I didn't know how to get them sewn into the journal.
So that's how to do it! I LOVE THIS!! Thank you so much for showing how to do it. I was resigned to the fact that since I had never seen anyone else do it, it must not be a viable way to make a full page out of small ones. Thank you for this!
This was so helpful as I am trying to put a 10” x 10” journal together and didn’t know how I was going to to it without buying very large pads. Thanks for sharing. xxx
Thank you. I’ve run into this problem before, having 2 pieces of notebook papers I wanted to use. But I wasn’t sure how to make it work on my signatures. This works and it looks good!! Thank you
Thank you so much Linda and thank you for subscribing. I hope I can inspire you along the way. You certainly don't have to hinge your pages on both sides, I just prefer to do it that way for extra stability. xx
Hi. I'm new to your channel and I love the way you hinged the pages, but now that you've done it, how does it get attached inside a journal, or rather, do they get attached inside a journal? I'm new to this technique.
This was helpful for me ! Thx for this tutorial! I had to laugh at all the noise interruptions!! Lol The same thing happens to me every time I try to do a video!! Lol that’s why I only have a few videos on my channel.. lol
Thanks Pramita, I am doing well. Definitely give them a go, they are very easy. You can use the same concept to hinge smaller pieces to your journal pages and make flip outs. X
This is a great idea, thanks for sharing. I've just got a sewing machine for sewing paper, but having trouble getting the tension right. Wondered if you have any problems sewing paper?
Thank you Amanda. No, I haven't had any troubles with sewing on paper but maybe put a new needle in it and rethread the machine and see how that goes. Sometimes that is all it takes. x
Thank you Julie. I probably use coffee dyed paper more so for my hinges but have used care stock as well before. I don’t find that it makes the journals too bulky. If I was hinging all my pages, I would definitely only use copy weight paper for the hinges though. X
I need lots of help to make these albums I have made quite a few but have had no classes I'm not real confident I live in your city What type of glue to buy is always my problem
Ammiel7 I will be starting classes sometime next year if you’re interested? Pop me an email and I will keep you informed. Paperinspirations12@gmail.com. I also use Crafters Choice glue (clear tacky glue) from Spotlight. For glue sticks I love the Kaisercraft glue stick which will be in my web store soon. Hope this helps. X

Great! Are they open? They had advertised the weekend. I’m hoping to pop in and have a look on the weekend hopefully. We’re they busy? If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to yell out. Xx
Hi Patricia, so each of these pages I have hinged to go in to a signature. They would be combined with many other papers and then added to a journal. I hope that makes sense? xx
Thank you for this video. I finally understand how to make hinges.
Excellent, just what I was looking for! Thank you, very well done.

You need to run a fan when you're using that type of glue. Thank you for this tutorial I could not think of how to do this to save my life😂

I've been wondering for a long time if or how there was a way to get paper with line to go the right way. So, Thank you very much.

after this, do you just put them together like regular signatures. very good
Yes, just add them with other papers to make up your signatures. Thanks for watching.

I might try gluing in some washi tape for the second hinge!! Thank you
I saw someone use lace as a hinge on the front side it looked really nice
Hi, thank you for this tutorial. What brand paper cutter do you use?
Hi Silvia, I use the 12” Tim Holtz cutter. It is a little bit pricey but well worth the investment. Xx
Beautiful. I'm surprised you use cardstock for the strips, but very durable, and sure love the stitching! Those ephemera pockets are beautiful.
Thank you Julie. I probably use coffee dyed paper more so for my hinges but have used care stock as well before. I don’t find that it makes the journals too bulky. If I was hinging all my pages, I would definitely only use copy weight paper for the hinges though. X
@@PaperInspirationsAU oh good to know....but I really loved the look of the hinge you made with the gold pattern in it...very classy!!!!
❤
What is the brand of your guillotine paper cutter?
Lisa, it’s the Tim holtz 12” guillotine. I love it!
Do you do it the same way with a strip of fabric?
Yes, most definitely LeisA. Xx
@@PaperInspirationsAU Yay! Now I can use some of my 8 1/2 × 11 papers. Thank you so much Sue!
My pleasure Leisa. Have fun! Xx
How do you attach hinged pages in book?
@@cmargo10 I just add them to the rest of my pages in the signatures and see then into the binding, normally with a 3 or 5 hole pamphlet stitch. X

I don't know how you guys are getting your sewing machines to sew over the glue. I have tried it dry & all it messes the machine up badly.
how do you add more pages?
Hi Patricia, so each of these pages I have hinged to go in to a signature. They would be combined with many other papers and then added to a journal. I hope that makes sense? xx
