A true tutorial vid on how to DIY it yourself, seats look great, plenty of space for a posh cup holder and storage bins
Glad you liked it!
Fitted well in the car, Dave
Looks great Dave back seat Looks like it was made for an Escort. Cheers.
The seats are looking great
Nice job, they fit in there really well, come nice and close to the wheel well without overlapping. Looking forward to the infill cubby holes etc.
I've just realised I've still got a Lucas Mk1 Escort headlight hanging up in my garage that's been there years, I used to use it as a lamp by connecting it to an old car battery as I have no power in my garage. Obviously you can get much better battery lighting now so it's been a long time since I used it like that. There used to be 2 but one got dropped and the glass broken a long time ago.
Another cracking job there Dave. You make it look so easy. Some of the Capris had not a dissimilar rear seat.
Maybe a bit late now but I would have considered running some swages (I think that's the right term ) across the flat panels for rigidity and preventing potential drumming.
simple and effective, nice result
Fantastic work again dave love it👌👌
Its always the hidden work that takes so long to do and then it goes unnoticed.
I'm looking forward to getting stuck into my MK1, but I have a VW to finish first!
Looking good fits like a glove. The puzzle worked out great. Going to look good all carpeted and lined out 👍
You made that job look really easy aswell, and I'm sure it not just Blue Peter editing!
Another great job Dave. You really excel at challenges like this, and the seats look fantastic.
Hi Dave, you could spay some expanding foam between the seat and the metal sheeting to fill the gap, and give it more support. Just an idea, great video as always 👍
Good idea 😊
Another interesting video, nice and long too. Lots of pride in bits that won’t be seen will make this a lovely car.
I can’t wait for you to finish MY car 😝 again another good video fella
Great job Dave, looks like they were made for the car 👍
lovely
Lovely job dave looks good
Well done Dave another great video and another job ticked off the list
Nice job from the crazy welding Welshman
🤣
hi good progress on the mk1,, the hat makes you 10 years younger ,👊👊🍻🍻
🤣
Look great, brilliant job 👍 Should be used to the rain by now living in Wales
You'd think so, but I really am not 🤣
Great job they fit well & look the dogs
If you make it to the show you should film it mate
Good idea
Super job Dave looks like they were supposed to be there to me 👌 👍
They look great Dave, did a mate already have those or (did you just go hunting for something the right width?)
Just a happy coincidence as it happens, I bought the front seats, and the seller said I could have the rears for free if I wanted them. And thet fit a treat. Happy Days 😊
You can make a cup holder of the side pockets for the back sets
That's what I'm thinking, too Kev
Dave just wondering if you're planning on fitting the Corsa c electric power steering?
I am thinking about it
Hey Dave!!! Well hello my friend. Very nicely done on the seats. Where do you get your design from. I like the break. Do you have a video on your hole puch, i need to make one of those. That worked great. Be well sir.
The hole punch is something I actually bought with money 😊
@@DavesGarageuk oh wow.i will have to look for something like it.

@DavesGarageuk thank you sir I will ask my son to grab one. He is east of London.
What rev counter did you use ? Have you got a link to it ?

I stripped out the rev counter and printed a back plate to suit, but I think you may be able to fabricate a simple disc to fit it. It fits into the clocks really well.
Dave are you crazy welding your seat pan on your foam seats you could have ruined them, do you have any holes now.
They didn't even mark up amazingly
@@DavesGarageuk phew
pays out good money for sierra box and mounts you dont really need but goes and buys empty superglue off ebay....crazy
Not the first time I've been called crazy 🤣
I think you should invest in a NutSert kit. Good video, Welsh version of Fab Rats
@@Bigtbuilder I've got one, I'm not a fan of the way the nuts stand a bit proud.
