Those plastics are in good nick for their age. I had loads of scratches on mine and rubbed them using toothpaste and a bunch of tissues, look like new now.
Most informative Dave, just like an episode of the Repair Shop 👏
Ah thanks 😊 I love that
Nice work Dave👍👍
Great video, Dave greatly enjoyed it.
Well done Dave another great video
Great job dave
Hi Dave, love your work. I just built an adapter plate to connect my Zetec 2.0 to a MX5 NC 6-speed Automatic transmission. Your adapter plate videos were a great help. Thanks
Cool, thanks 😊
Good work mate bet that saved you some money. Another job done
A fortune mate
Nice clocks , well done
Thanks 👍
Very informative Dave. Whilst i do possess mechanical knowledge of cars in general, i have never once thought about servicing or modifying the clocks...too scared that i might have messed up! This would've been useful to know about, when i modified a Series 3 Land Rover, that had a Rangie 3.5 litre V8 engine, Rangie 3.7 to 1 ratio differentials and 31 inch 11.50 tyres fitted. The speedometer was out by 33%! I had no idea how to correct that then....so i just remarked the speedo face to roughly where the correct speeds were! I could've just done this instead!
😊😊
on my RRC, i am converting everything to µc-controlled stepper motors, with electronic odometer. with that thing you can adjust speedo/odo to your wheel size easily., without retouching the face.
@@ljuberzy Cool. Not sure if that was available 2o years ago, when i built my old Landy tho! But a nice modern tech way to fix issues that like. 👍
Dave, do you have cad drawings for the clutch and brake pedal bushes, love the channel by the way, I’m in the process of rebuilding a mk1 Capri, lots of rust and missing parts,
Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, I don't sorry, I'm using a bias pedal box, not sure whether it's the same?
Dave can you set the mileage to your own car’s history?
I could do
Great video Dave as always. Couple of questions ☺
Can you print out one of them backing plates if I cover the cost and postage?
Does the MX5 gearbox use a cable operation to run the speedo?
Hi David, Yes, I can do that, message Mrs Dave on Instagram @clare_larcombe_avon_uk and she will give you my contact number. 😉
The mx5 box does use cable speedo, so I'm thinking of getting speedy cables to make me a cable to suit.
