It's not an upgrade for the control panel, but for the GeForce experience app. The control panel is likely to stay.
you are right, this is not a substitute for the control panel. What I am seeing is a modern GeForce Experience, but no settings like the one on the panel, for example shade cache size.
They do have shader cache size setting. In there mate
enjoy all your 3 control panels for your one GPU ..
@@lokelaufeyson9931 Just two, this is literally a substitute for the GeForce experience.
Yes… I was surprised to find the same old control panel…
I will wait for the official version
how long till it comes out, just wondering?
What about all that Nvidia telemetry that they require you to give them in order to use the app? With AMD GPUs you can use their GPU app regardless of if you purposely opt-in or not.
Fascinating that tech channels who make an issue about software and OSes which send telemetry back to the respective companies aren't mentioning that Nvidia is doing far worse. I wouldn't use Geforce Experience because I read their User Agreement and they basically say they can use any data that goes through their GPU if they wanted to. What they likely use is probably not highly detailed, but that is not what the user is forced to agree to. Given the gains they have made in AI, I wonder how much of their userbase's information they skimmed.
Yeah but it a beta so people accept it to have the latest if you don’t like it don’t install it
yeah its kinda dumb as i tried to use it and it wont work cus i removed that bullshit telemetry that uses more cpu and ofc shares usage with nvidia
@@Hawk_112 I disable it all and it seems to be working fine
@@Mayfairpagan with the new nvidia app ? cus for me it doesn't ,unless i did something wrong
@@Hawk_112 yep, I have it the new app on all my devices and none of them are thrown up any issues and they were all disabled
Great heads up Brian. Doing a lot of video processing, that studio driver is sounds great. With the ability to toggle between drivers seems fantastic. Thank you my friend! 👍👍👍
Glad to help!
Only logging in for rewards is a bonus, and settings are easy to adjust. Worried about telemetry and data collection from NVIDIA
Yeh, i bet google is worried they'll have to share your data with nvidia too. You know google, they want it all to them self. Nice youtube profile pic
Easy to adjust for what exactly?. Barely anyone knows what any of these options/features are, what they do, and what they're for so wtf are people even adjusting and why?
Thanks for your videos. You are one of my go to channels for all things tech👍
Another great video man...
I have always wondered, what is the difference between the 2 drivers (game and studio) besides the obvious. Does one put out a higher quality image than the other when it comes to lets say movies/media servers? Does one trans-code better?
Studio drivers are for graphics designing apps and accelerates the process of rendering.
I've always wondered about this as well, does using studio drivers make gaming less optimized?
@@matthewmcneill5320 Exactly. There are so many unknowns with the different drivers.
Now Brian I use NVIDIA cards in both of my two desktops and they are reasonably old by now for example the main desktop has a GeForce 650Ti expedition model the other has a plain GeForce 650 (I think I have that right as I am on my laptop right now). I do not game or do studio stuff and just like NVIDIA stuff because I find them better in general use as opposed to the AMD Radion stuff. What I would like to know is this app worth downloading onto my desktops to get the best quality graphics possible?? Or should I just stick with the original NVIDIA drivers and setup??
I'll pass on the added bloat
They removed bloat dumby
Your probably have no choice once its finished
it actually use less cpu than geforce experience. cheers
So when they finish adding all the other settings and commands does that also mean an endless scrolling menu in order to set your own options. Or are they removing that ability by limiting what you can and cannot set and adjust. Never been a big fan of these kinds of apps. Not looking forward to being forced to using it either if they do away with the original control panel. If it is not broken do not try and fix it. The original control panel is not broken but they want to fix it anyways. This is a great way to create a lot of unneeded and unwanted frustration.
Where has the live streaming option to fb, youtube went. I cant find it anymore
Do you know where the performance tab has gone from the overlay? im wanting to control my fan speeds but i cant seem to find it
I still Build my PC's with Duel GPU's in SLI Mode for a 30% Boost in Graphics generation the the Monitors. I use 2 Monitors when I DJ & Broadcast. So I can see everyone in the Venue & have My Sam Broadcaster on the other Monitor.
How can they not use the Control Panel App when it gives us options for SLI & Duel Monitors ?
i will rather have the old school nvidia control panel, i like the old windows ui
No need to update just yet
No need to update right away
@@Britec09 No need to update and use this app at all. It is acting like experience and causing fps drops, removed it in a min..
@@taskinyucekurt I can’t say I seen that and I been using the app for days now
@@Mayfairpagan It can work good on diffrent systems or if you are using Experience since you have that card you won't see any diffrence. Experience and this app are kinda based on same software and using some system resources to provide some options like video recording or streaming etc which causing fps drops, cost of having Alt-Z options. When you remove it from your system it works way better.. If you are using 40 series something on very high end system there won't be any diffrence indeed..
Its awesome to use rtx hdr and having adjustments in this app
AMDs Adrenaline driver suite is still miles ahead of this. I've felt for a long time, that Nvidia has better hardware, but AMD has better drivers and software. I think that still holds true. This also doesn't appear to be a replacement for the Nvidia control panel. But more of a replacement for the Nvidia GeForce experience software.
Display & physx settings still needs old control panel. Game optimization is very buggy on maxwell GPU it suggested worse settings than my custom settings especially for Batman Arkham and witcher 3 NG. Overlay is breath of fresh air then GFE. Though i do prefer frameview. I ran with older 530 driver branch since latest ones are causing random frame drops and micro stuttering. This is just my observation.
So, which setting is for watching videos via K-Lite CODEC Pack/MPC-Classic player and UA-cam?
Hi Brian i started using it yesterday no problems yet tbh
Works OK for me
I wonder when this goes final if it gets rid of the Nvidia driver overhead
NEED? Not sure about that. Hopefully I'm wrong but I get the feeling this is Nvidia's way of forcing GeForce Experience along with their unnecessary telemetry and services.
Tried it for a few days. Meh. Went back to GeForce Experience.
Same here. For some reason, when i do not have internet access. The app couldn't see my games. Weird.
Geforce experience still works well n i b using it untill forced to use the app by phasing out Geforce experience
BE ADVISED - If you select CUSTOM INSTALL, and have it wipe your old drivers.... installation may fail. This happened to me multiple times across four PC's. Not sure why, but it just turns off display and you have to hard reboot to get things to come back on.
I always select Custom Install.
I've never had problems doing so.
Does it is neaasercy to install these beta version or i van install later????
It’s a pretty nice beta. I really like the ease of use.
Dear Mr Britec, I want to ask you some things regarding this new app... I own an NVIDIA RTX 3080... First of all I agree that we have to wait till the full version of this app is released... So, can I use this app with my NVIDIA? And if so, I guess that I should first use DDU to properly uninstall NVIDIA control panel and GEFORCE apps as well, and after that I will install this new app...Am I right?
No log-in after ALL these years, what innovation.
nVidia App looks OK.
However, I can see nVidia adding commercials in their app, in the future, which I'm not a fan of.
I would've preferred a new Control Panel.
Installed the app. Error code: 0xE6000000. Your system configuration is not supported for this installation. A list of supported hardware and OS can be found (here). Mine is listed but won't work.
This program is full of problems, I had to reinstall windows since the install failed for the beta app and then it deleted GFE and when I tried to install GF beta app OR GFE it kept failing 💀
So much bloat, just give me the driver without all this added GUI stuff, the old settings work just fine. why do we have to have an app for everything now.
thing is with nvidia app sometimes it dont detect my steams games or say is not supported lol even tho i got it on same folders as other games like south park or etc
Looks clean!! I'll probably use it after i get my 4090 💪🏻
Yeah, its a lot better
@@Britec09 the interface changed a lot in the app, also got its own optimization, lookin forward to use it!!
Please make a Video about how to install NextCloud
Is it driver or app?
They work on it all they add more when they are ready
There is a reason I go directly to their site, and download the drivers as needed. Will watch this soon but if its a Geforce experience thing, then I will do a hard pass.
can somebody explain please how to handle.TMP-2.for the stupid windows clou
I've had Nvidia graphics cards for years and I've gotta say, its about time. 👍
Agreed!
When it gets out of beta I will think about it lol
Just wondering about same or similar app for quadro cards and such?
Not that I know of.
Is it any different to geforce exp
If it ain't broken don't fix it, every time a new driver version comes out I go to Reddit related topics and everybody have a new complaint or issue/bug, still on version 536.23, but I welcome the new app indeed, this old one is looking like WinXp era.
🙂 super thanks for the reminder, I just installed it and update the driver as well. And I set my Globals to 60fps capped. Keep those watts nice and low 😊
Glad I could help
Is it adjust me, or is this new app making my gpu run about 5 to 8 degrees Celsius hotter than it was before
the GeForce Experience then is kind of useless if this new app does it's job ...thanks for the update brother, much appreciated.
NVIDIA said they dumping GeForce Experience for this app so the GeForce Experience is really outdated and obsolete now.
I hope the new app lets you actually own the GPU without an account, and God forbid you use VPN Nvidia Geforce would lose its marbles lol
@@OMNITEK You know this app will replace GeForce Experience and Nvidia Control Panel so they will shot at each other, when they close this app behind mandatory login.
i really don't like the mandatory logins they're doing accross many apps...plus they're acting like vpn is impairing their ability to let us use hardware we actually paid for...not happy how it's going so far@@patrykweber812
@britec09 hi I have a lot of settings change in nvidia control panel will they be transferred to new nvidia app?
Yes, they will be saved
why does it cost?
I habe gtx 1650 ddr6 4gb gpu will it work in my new gpu or these is only for those who have rtx series?
it works for all gpus (nvidia gpus)
its no good if the app doesn't find detect all my games whatever i try ... oh well
i have a nvidia gpu gt730 and it dosent work
Hi how to auto overclock gpu in nvidia app beta
thats what im tryna find out do you know where it is yet?
Happy days, it's been a long time coming! May I ask Brian, "What's the background processes like?" Not hungry, would be nice 😊 I don't normally Install geforce experience.
Seems OK on my system
it messed up my recording
Dont get the beta
just did. thank you
Welcome
This is Beta, that means it's got Bugs. You should know that. I'll wait.
nvidia: but can not OC or underV:
fk nvidia:
The app is still unacceptable because they have no easy way to remove "managed programs" I don't want a fucking overlay on VLC player or OBS. You still ahve to use tricks with NVPI or change the name of the exe
By a AMD card then
an*
why would i buy another card, when i don't need any shitty features. Just a clean driver, with powerful customization? Which, one can get through NVcleaninstall, DDU & profile inspector@@Britec09

Oh man Nvidia is finally after all this years changing their legacy panel :)
No. This replaces GeForce Experience. Not Nvidia Control Panel.
@@DeadPixel1105NVIDIA said they import all settings to the app. When they release the full version of this app with all Nvidia Control Panel's settings they will officially discontinue Nvidia Control Panel.
I'm reluctant to install anything BETA with Windows 11. It's already unstable as it is.
No thanks, I'd rather not scroll 4000 times down to get to settings that would otherwise be in the same place in the classic control panel.
More bloatware, in some respects, but more useful than GeForce. I dont recommend this background stuff if MSFS 2020 is your hobby. I also dont like Nvidia adjusting my game settings. Of course you dont need that choice, but it kinda forces the unsuspecting person to "optimise" their game etc only to find it messes their preferred choice. Really the best way is to manually adjust your preferences. Nvidia love to gather your data bad enough with just the drivers but this App is another data miner !. Same as Windows 11, but thats another story.
I'd be willing to bet that it won't even install if you have what they consider to be a "legacy" graphics card. Even if you just purchased the card, brand new.
Another multi-billion dollar corporation forcing you to buy a new product, even though you just did.
In supported GPUs you can run from GTX 800 series up to latest graphic card released
@@patrykweber812 What about a GT 730 2G 4 x HDMI?
@@jacksquat55 No GT graphics cards are not supported.
@@patrykweber812 That's my point exactly! 💯
A copy of AMD adrenalin
You forgot to mention that it’s still in Beta testing.
Nope 22 seconds in, I say its in BETA at the moment
@@Britec09 You're correct. Sorry about that. I completely missed you saying that.
👍👍
Wow, you failed to see the real reason for this new App and I have to say that's most disappointing; but then again I don't make a living off of forcing Ads down peoples throat. The Old Nvidia app works just fine and I'm not forced to view ads in the process... You do put out wonderful information from time to time but I fear you're giving in to forced advertising for revenue and for that I say shame on you... You used to be someone I could come to, to solve issues, but anymore you just seem like a Cog in the SHILL MACHINE...
Don’t come back. Nobody will miss you
Thanks for the video and update🫡
You're welcome
