Hi. Thanks for your video. I noticed you had the engine management light and glow plug light flashing. Did this fix mean those warning lights were able ro be cancelled? I have this problem and the car is going into limp mode. I think it is a bad injector or seal. Is it correct i will need to have a new injector programmed for it to make a difference?
Good video, do you think i may have problem with injector seals on my octavia DSG ,, 2.0TDI, it has judder like it not enough power but change gear ok ,, seems like it slipping clutch but i feel more likey not the clutch only 134,000 miles,, thanks for your video it very informative
How do you clean injector , maybe do you got video! I got scoda fambia 2010 and its full whit diesel closed to injector! I want to remove , take off and clean whit solution , maybe you let my how its corecle ! Thanks for you video and clearence!
@@cineesefuprimul3280 you don't have to remove injectors you have to check from where that fuel is coming from is it from return lines or from fuel injectors use some sponge to drain the fuel and make it dry than start the vehicle and observe
If you are having oil puddles near the injectors on 1.6 TDI engine, then it's not the injectors seals which are faulty. It is the valve cover that is faulty and is leaking oil. There is a need to replace the valve cover completely (quite expensive). Don't waste the time replacing just the seals as it won't solve anything.
Great, then there must be 2 different issues with these 1.6 TDI engines. We replaced all the seals and the oil puddles were back again in a few weeks. It seems that the valve cover has got vacuum reservoir incorporated into it. The pastic is welded. The problem is that the welding spots are weak and crack over time particularly in that area. This leads to oil leakage.
No, it was definitely engine oil. New valve cover solved the problem completely. By the way, these valve covers are held only by 6 bolts. They like to leak oil past the seals so it's a good idea to apply some silicone sealant before installing.
Thanks for your video, it helped me to get my car going again. I had a dead injector and had to replace it.

You should check with diagnostic tester for faults because it can be everything from egr valve to electric water pump and etc..
Just wondering why u removed the rocker
Would doing the copper washer alone fx the problem
I removed the cover to replace the gasket
Really good video, one question, how did you clean the injector port seat? Did you re-cut or simply clean with a rag or similar? Thanks
I se small metal wire brush and little brake cleaner
@@mechanicigor brilliant. Thank you very much for the quick reply, really appreciate it 👍
@@mechanicigor And do you need to plug the seat to stop soot and stuff falling down, or would it not matter much?
@@Jim_Kay. you can't plug it because there is no room to work you can use compressed air to blow and remove the glow plugs
salut, am o provlema la Fabia mea imi scoiate motorina prin injectorul 3 si scoate fum

It's making noise in the air filter try the oil evaporate hose

Maybe but I have replaced on ten cars and there is more than one year and no leaks

The plastic cover is very easy to crack if pressure is applied when removing the injectors
Oh and also can be fuel from return lines and it mixes with oil evaporation and looks like oil
