finally someone that actually drives their sti hard in a video
Haha thanks!!
I'm doing research on a new car I'll get once I graduate the academy. It's either going to be a muscle car or this unless I think of something else to get. If I do get a 2015+ sti it will be my first tuner car. Hoping to learn more and gain insight into them. I just watched your perrin aos video. Something about preventing unwanted oil sludging up in the turbo and other parts of the engine correct? I'm a white belt when it comes to turbos...any other insight? I'm trying to gain as much knowledge as possible as far preventative and maintenance care for these types of cars... Thanks in advanced and much appreciated.
khyoon14 An AOS keeps oil from entering the intake to prevent detonation and lowering engine efficiency. As for mods like intakes, headers, downpipes, intercoolers and such, they will definitely require tunes. Do alot of research prior to throwing parts in it. Good luck and have fun!!
Yep definitely gonna order the midpipe to pair up with my Axle back 👌🤙
I have a stock 2016 and after 6 months, I just figured out what the car can give and how to get it.
I have to admit, it's almost as fun as my "slightly" enhanced 2003 Z06. I know when I start tinkering with this thing, it's going to be a monster
Damn that was fun to watch. Wish we had roads around here like that. The ones here are scattered with cops just waiting.
Thanks!! The first highway road is normally babysat by cops. I do my best to find sanctuary for the car on this lil island.
OCTurboJoe
What island are you on? Assuming Hawaii, not the mainland haha.
Yep, Hawaii.
Cali_WRX right man.. i wish just once there was some place we are where i could have a 1 hour spirited run with no concern for cops at all.
LastHumansGarage I feel the same. That road I bombed through is now full of cops and construction for a rail project. Glad I went there before they started.
Really good driver
Thanks!!
Hey quick heads up - you can get the tips to fit closer to the body by clocking that front section of the midpipe about 10-15 degrees clockwise when you're looking at it from the back of the vehicle. You've got the bend in it at about the 7 O'Clock position and it should be closer to 8 or 9, just where it's got a small gap between the heat shield and the piping. Clocking that around will bring the middle of the midpipe down and bring the tips up. - Jason@Nameless
Thanks Jason!!
Nice! Sounds great dude. Looks like you have some fun roads to drive on too.
Thanks. I wish there were less cars on the road during filming. Next is Cobb AP V3 and StopTech SS lines then I'll be good. I still have my Killer B oil pickup and baffle still sitting in my closet. I thought of getting a Whiteline 22mm rear sway bar kit but after driving in this vid, I'm debating whether if I should just pass on it because it stayed planted through every corner.
OCTurboJoe don't need a sway bar or any suspension upgrades. I just tracked mine a month ago. our local racetrack is small and had lots of sharp turns btw. i wish it had better side bolsters though for the driver's seat lol.
Marco Del Rosario That's what I thought. I may just get subframe-to-swaybar braces from Whiteline just to keep it from flexing. But overall, it's flat.
dang this thing sounds good, i love nameless
Thanks Rob. I love Nameless too!!
Nice drive man. Can’t wait to get through my break in period so I can actually drive my car properly.... bought that exhaust today. I’ll install it tomorrow. Great video.
Sweet. Enjoy!!
Haha i just ordered the midpipe...i have the axelback 5' mufflers and 4' tips..... cant wait for it to sound a bit louder with the midpipe!
Sounds great, Joe. Need some outside videos/drive byes now! The 4" is too loud for me but the 5" sound perfect! My CWP 15' limited arrive in a few more week
Yeah, I got something planned. Congrats on your CWP '15!!
Okay so I'm in between buying the 15 WRX and STi but there's never any STis on the local lot now. I test drove the WRX but watching this video makes me think that the STi isn't as much of a slouch compared to the improved WRX as people have been telling me.
These two cars are different animals. First off, the WRX's powerband comes on very early but falls flat on its face rather quickly unless tuned, whereas the STI has more lag but is more of a hard hitter up top. Second, the 6-speed gearbox it uses, if you choose to buy one with it, is not the same 6-speed in the STI with DCCD. Third, the steering is much heavier with a hydraulic assisted rack vs electronic assistance on the WRX, and the suspension is much stiffer on the STI. Other than that, you get 1" larger and better looking wheels and a huge wing in the back should you go the STI route for about $8K more.
...and you get Brembos for brakes. Choose which one that better suits you instead of letting other people persuade you into your decision. You'll be driving this everyday, not them. Good luck ;)
creampiess Actually a 12 year old shortblock (EJ257) with 8 year old heads (dual AVCS) and tons of aftermarket support vs the baby FA20DIT. Did I mention it also makes more power than the previous generations? Besides being advertised at 305hp, some shops have seen higher numbers that rate it at 320-330hp. But it's up to the OP on what his goals are and where he wants the power/torque band.
Oh man i swear i love the new subarus but i cant get over the sound of the new wrx. Sounds to much like a honda! NOW on the other hand YOUR Sti sounds amazing! !!!!!
That's because of the exhaust manifold design and relocation of the turbo. It actually makes some impressive numbers over the previous year WRX.
Nice run...keep up the videos coming and keep on booossstin'
Subie rumble
That's always the case. Everyone seems to grow on them eventually.
Gotta tell me where these roads are man lol. Great vid!
Thanks. They're all over. Just gotta do some recon once in a while.
Sounds sick! Nice setup.... I'm planning on getting the 4" catback.
Thanks!! Please upload when you do get it so we can all hear the difference.
OCTurboJoe you bet!
Dude you're cool and that nameless kit is mean.
Great video looks like fun. Cant wait to get mine!
Thanks!! You'll love it.
Damn. bro you was really winding that STi out man good stuff 09SparkSilver hatch STi here
Hey wassup!! Yeah I was, lol.
Would love to hear a flyby. Sounds great brotha!
Working on it soon.
Subbed! I have the same car, same color lol, just bought the 4" dual walled staggered with 5" muffler cat back. Going stage 2 in september. I got the hangers with mine, interesting to see how that changes the look.
Nice. Post a vid up when you get it up and running.
Great video man. Badass roads too.
Thanks. Had to tone it down towards the end because of incoming cars.
Oc im here in Hawaii too. would love to hear your car in person and maybe u can help me out with the kartboy install... hehe
Bro thats the backroad of kapolei.try go up to tantalus zigzag roads.
Ugh, I miss my 2011 STI. Lost it in my divorce now I can only afford '16 Honda sport 6 speed. I try to drive it fast but it's not anywhere near the STI's abilities.
Sorry to hear.
You'll get one back dude
+Robert Rouse Lol, women
Haha! I know exactly where that is! F'n Sweet! Sounds sick bro!
Oh I know you know exactly where this is, lol!! Shhhh!!!
Hey Joe I'm bugging you with another question, sorry man. It's actually about driving a manual transmission. You're clearly an expert at it haha. Do you try to keep your vehicle in gear as long as possible before throwing it into neutral? I know some people say it's bad to throw your car in neutral and just roll to red lights. Apparently it's better to keep it in gear as long as possible? It would be awesome to see a video from you on some advanced manual transmission techniques.
No prob. I always kept the transmission in gear (engine breaking) not only to help with slowing down the vehicle and extending the life of the brakes but also to get out of a last second hairy situation if I get close to a full stop. An automatic car is easy as you just have to mash the pedal. But with a manual, I know most drivers would panic and fail to get the transmission into gear for the car to move in time. I can try to do a shifting and engine braking tutorial vid if I have time.
OCTurboJoe Oh okay. Yeah a shifting and engine braking tutorial from you would be sick. But I know you're busy!
Is this Hawaii? If it is, looks kind of like Puerto Rico!
It is Hawaii. I bet the weather is the same. ;)
Bad ass! Volume seems perfect. What's the drone situation like? Doesn't seem like any at all.
Now to decide between this set up and Q300 whenever that's released... sigh
No drone compared to stock. This setup is light. I don't understand why get a heavier Q300 exhaust that just looks nice when you get just as much performance from a lighter setup like Nameless.

Subaru Music
This sounds really good. I just picked up my '15 STi last Saturday and I'm having a hard time deciding between this and a Cobb catback. On another note, how long did you wait until you started hitting 6k+ rpm shifts? Currently I'm at 500ish miles on the odometer.
***** Thanks and congrats!! For the price, you can build a Nameless system to your liking vs a cookie cutter system like Cobb's. I actually varied my RPMs from 4K-6K tops and did alot of engine braking to help expand the rings into the cylinders starting at 500 miles. At 1K, I changed the oil out for Rotella T6 5W-40, hated it within less than 500 miles, then went to Eneos 5W-30 and been happy since. I still do alot of engine braking to assist the brakes in slowing the car down, while helping with fuel economy. Just because we own STI's, it doesn't mean we can't save fuel. But overall, it's been a year and it still puts a big smile on my face everyday.
Thanks for the reply Joe and awesome advice! Weird that you hated the Rotella oil since a lot of people at iwsti seem to think its the best for our engines. Why do you prefer Eneos over Rotella?
***** People think that Rotella 5w40 would be harder to shear or thin than 5w30. When the engine is cold, 5w40 is thicker. Therefore it'll be harder to fill tighter area in the engine than 5w30 would. People also think 5w40 is the cure for ringland failures but that's a load of bull as some who have used 5w40 still had failures. Per Subaru, they recommend 5w30 for long term use and 5w40 for temporary top ups only. 5w30 is also recommended by Subaru for fuel conservation, hence why my fuel mileage went down and my felt sluggish. It's all personal preference and as long as you maintain your oil change intervals and check levels periodically, you can use any oil of your choice based on how you use your car.
OCTurboJoe wow thanks for the info. I was just about to use 5w40 motul like cobb recommends lol which oil do you use? and after watching your video I ordered a nameless exhaust!!! I'm getting rid of this invidia single crap. What do you think about the tomei extreme ti?
what is engine braking bro? lol sorry I'm a noob
Young Lee I use Eneos 5w30 full synthetic. I also replace it every 3K miles religiously and I have a magnetic oil drain plug. Haven't seen anything out of the ordinary and the engine response feels better at the pedal.
I don't care for single exit exhaust systems. To me, it looks silly having no muffler on the empty side.
sick vid!!
Thanks!! ;)
Brah,
Sounds Great! Where stay? Looks live Eva Beach…..damn miss da islands :-(
hey, where exactly did you put your floor jack?
And I'm guessing your chalked the front wheels?
What BOV is that? Sounds awesome man
Thank you for sharing! I am curious that do you hear the whistle inside of cabin?
What kind of whistle is this that you speak of? Turbo spool?
Hey Joe, Great Video! I'm going to do the same install here in a few weeks when my parts arrive. I noticed you jacked up the car using the rear diff. Did you experience any issues doing that? Also, do you have any tips to jack up the car using the rear diff? I heard some people use a block of wood to protect the differential from potential damage from the floor jack. any help is appreciated!
Thanks. I did exactly as you said: use a piece of wood. No problems afterwards whatsoever. Some have also used a hockey puck which is also good because rubber holds onto it better.
Very nice!
Man that sounds good...sounds deeper than stock? Actually stock sounds pretty damn good too. The cans are so small! Can't really tell from the vid, but is the loudness really big compared to stock? I would think so...
I went with this system (small cans) because it was lighter than other systems with dual exits. Plus I don't like shiny huge cans gleaming a mile away. The sound of this exhaust has way less drone and much louder (and better) sound over the OEM catback.
OCTurboJoe Thanks man! Don't know if I can do it...Damn...if they're really loud might not be good due to cops...I'm an old fart so gotta worry about this shit...in my younger days it would be ON! Any opinion on the STi Performance exhaust upgrade from the dealer? I've listened to a few on vids but really hard to tell relative loudness...This drone issue everyone talks about...I mean how loud and disturbing is it? Shake your teeth loose loud or what?
malcolmz3o1 It's loud enough to know it's a Subaru but not enough to kill you or get a ticket as much as the muffler delete option will. While everyone's noise tolerances differ, I'd say this one is quiet enough to pass for a louder than stock exhaust. Personally, I haven't heard an SPT exhaust so I wouldn't know. But as far as the stock exhaust drone, it mostly happens in cruise or even on cold startups. If you watch my first STI video, you'll see what I'm talking about.
OCTurboJoe Thanks for answering my questions man. Your ride is awesome!
malcolmz3o1 No problem. Thanks!!
thanks for the reply
Other than flooring it some
Drift scenes would have been nice lol! Awesome I own 15 WRX can't wait to swap stock exhaust system ! Was weigh of the exhaust system concern to you?
As cool as it looks, I hate it. Unless I live on dirt paved roads, I'll skip wasting tires. Other than that, weight did matter with my choice selection of my exhaust system. I originally was gonna go with a Greddy Evo system but saw Nameless and it's total customizable configurations. It was worth the one month wait...
I'm just meshing with you boss about the drifting! When you say customize the configurations did you shorten anything or were you able to adjust to your like?
Ruben Hernandez It's cool, really. Nameless can customize tip design (single/double wall, staggered/non-staggered), custom size (3", 3.5", 4"), muffler size (none, 4", 5"), or choose between an axleback or full catback. That way it won't look as cookie cutter as everyone else on the road.
awesome video :) i love subaru :)
Hi Joe
Can you tell me what exhaust you on your sti 2015.? Also can you tell me website.. I want to see exhaust how much.. thanks
It's on the title and the link is in the description.
hey let me know when you want to sell your mid pipe I have a 2016 sti. sounds good really good.
Lol I'm good.
Joe, are you heel toeing on those down shifts? And are they like smooth or with a little jerk? I'm having some troubles downshift with my heel toes on my '14 wrx, it seems like i have to catch it at a higher RPM for it to be smooth and get a little jerk
Yes I heel-toe on my downshifts and they feel smooth, or at least for me lol. If your heel-toe's are jerky, it means you're either not giving it enough throttle to raise the rpm's in the torqueband, lifting off the clutch too late after the downshift, or mis-timing the downshifts. Some drivers like to get in gear before blipping the throttle and others like blipping before getting in gear. I find myself doing either one sometimes but it happens so fast that it just happens all at the same time. Also make sure you're brake pedal is adequately depressed to ensure you ARE slowing down to help bring revs down low enough to blip it back into the torqueband to enter the next lower gear, which is what heel-toe is primarily for.
after installing this exhaust did you have to tune with access port? is it safe running with exhaust modd without tune? sounds great by the way.
Thanks. For a catback exhaust, no tune is needed.
Hey Joe. Nice subi. I got the same color. Let me ask you, does an exhaust voids warranty at all?
Juan Alfaro A catback exhaust does not void the warranty.
How was it to install ? I only have ramps and a floor jack , waiting for mine to be delivered . I went with the Nameless mid-pipe and y pipe only , using the stock mufflers .
That's what's currently on my car now. I ditched the axle backs because they got too loud. Still feels the same.
HI, 2 QUESTIONS PLZ,
1- DID YOU HAVE A SHORT THROW SHIFTER ON THIS VIDEO?
2- DID THIS AFTER MARKET EXHAUST INCREASE THE BACKFIRE SOUND LIKE ON 5:05 ?
+Elie Nehme
1) Yes.
2) Yes. Btw, it's called afterfire. Backfire is an uncontrolled ignition in the combustion cycle. The backfire travels towards your intake rather than your exhaust, hence "backfire". Just fyi...
+OCTurboJoe thanks for the nice reply and info. btw, after changing my spark plugs in my 2.0 spec c engine, I enjoyed more afterfire than before when engine braking. am I right!! is it an afterfire or backfire what did increase when new sparks were installed and on engine braking. thx, plz share your opinion and increase my knowledge. thx
+OCTurboJoe nice
Joe, why is it that when I find something I like and do research, it somehow always ends up on your thread or UA-cam page, lol. (Yes I'm getting a 15!)
I must be the go-to guy lol. Congrats!!
OCTurboJoe
I think we just have the same taste because this is the exact setup from Nameless I planned on ordering and was looking for sound clips, haha.
You won't be disappointed. I plan on going ELH and heard some clips with this exhaust. It doesn't sound rattly or raspy, just perfect
fucking eargasm
Lol thanks.
any reason you went with nameless instead of the cobb cat back exaust, m looking and wanna make the right buy?
The Cobb catback for the 2015 STI wasn't available at the time and Nameless custom made this to my liking at a better price.
that makes sense, i'll be getting the cobb system. ty again joe for your imput!
You still have it on the car?
How is't so far? (+1 year since the video was posted)
Any problems?
Any issues with the quality of the catback?
I am thinking of getting a Nameless for my 2016 STI, just worried about the long-term usage.
I have the midpipe but got rid of the axlebacks for stockers because I outgrew the noise. I also swapped to an equal length header so it added to the quietness. Other than that it feels the same as it did with the axlebacks, just quieter.
Is it safe to go fatback without AP or tune? I’m thinking about getting one but don’t want the AP and tune while under vehicle warranty. Thanks
Chhoeun Man Totally. A catback is located after the cats and O2 sensors (hence catback) so there is no ECU monitoring of any kind.
Did your performance enhance or is it just sound?
Hey man nice sti! Just wanted to know is that standard height on your shifter? And are u running an STI short throw shifter? Just wanted to know cuz I'm interested in getting a 16' wrx and want the same height and shift as yours!
I have an aftermarket shifter and bushing kit. Kartboy to be exact.
thanks for the reply hopefully ill remember this haha
No prob
is that the short shifter in this car or is that regular throw?
It's a short throw shifter. K4RT3OY (Kartboy) short shifter and bushing kit.
How is the in car sound? I would like to hear it if you ever could.
You mean outside car sounds? This vid is mostly in-car. I'll be posting an outside vid soon.
I guess what I really mean is that if you have your window down and the radio off, do you get the thrill of hearing your exhaust or do you have to listen and try and hear a difference over stock?
Gotcha. The sound is completely different over stock and is a blast to listen to while driving. The stock exhaust droned alot in cruise. Not the case with the Nameless exhaust.
Hey I have a question for ya, so I am going to install my exhaust when it finally comes in the mail. Corsa seems to be back ordered. Anyway I am just not sure where to place the jack and the stands for that matter. If you could help me out on this it would be most appreciated.
On another note, how is your AOS working out for you? In general what have you noticed in regards to your AOS?
Just wondering because I am planing on picking on up. Do you recommend or would you go a different route in hindsight? Thanks
It depends on the type of jack stands you have but I place them longitudinally at the inner side of the rear jack points. I do it that way because the jack stands I own have wide notches.
As far as the AOS, I notice the engine does not ingest oil at the turbo inlet, compressor housing, intercooler, and intake manifold with my current setup. It gives me piece of mind that my engine is running cleanly and sludge free from oil. I would recommend getting one for any turbocharged vehicle where blowby is more prevalent. Excessive oil consumption from blowby can cause alot of long term issues. I went with Perrin's AOS because it was the most customizable, however it's the hardest to install among all of them. You can go with either Crawford or IAG, which aren't as hard to install as Perrin but they delete the PCV valve. Grimmspeed is the easiest to install but it still pulls oil into the intake based on its location and design. There are many to choose from but the four brands I listed are most popular.
Thank you for your quick response.
I love the way you installed your AOS, it looks great.
One more quick Q&A. What jack point did you use initially; as in to elevate your car before stands could be utilized?
Thanks again
Oh I'm sorry. I used the rear diff to jack the car up. I placed a hockey puck on the jack plate prior to pumping the jack up towards the diff. You can also use a piece of 2x4.
Thanks for the kind words.
Please take care of that car. No eating, drinking, smoking or pets inside. I am the 2nd owner!!! :-)
Lol. Don't worry. I do none of that.
He does however redline it with only a few hundred miles on the odometer
BlackGT1999 Lol
haha nice turbo intro xD
Thanks!!
Did you have the vehicle tuned after this install? Are tunes necessary after a catback exhaust?
Not then. No tune is necessary for a catback.
Hey OCTurboJoe! Sounds awesome! I ordered Mid Pipes for my 2015 WRX, (had their Axle back already) and I was wondering does this catback removes the thrid cat on our mid pipe? If so, have you got any CEL? How does this mid pipe works? Thanks!!!
It shouldn't, it's a catback, meaning it's after the catalytic converter..
OCTurboJoe Yes I figured. I am new to turbo car so I got really confused looking at WRX exhaust diagram. thanks for the reply ;)
dude! your axleback for stock wrx has 2" pipes. your cat back will have 3" at the Y. Still waiting for mine its been 8 weeks. should have got invidia R1
Hey Dave, I already installed mid pipes and I barely notice sound difference :( So I ordered muffler delete axle back :) 8weeks?!! WOW! that is a loooooong wait! :( wish you a luck buddy
Han Lee Hey, u said u didn't notice a diff w/ a midpipe. Did you have a 5" or 4" muffled axelback before the muffler delete?
sounds great. Any reason you choose this setup vs others? sound, perf ? just in between of deciding and liked yours
Other catbacks are heavier by an average of 15-20+ pounds in exchange for looks. Nameless offers muffler deletes, 4" and 5" mufflers to get the perfect sound. I went with 5" mufflers because deletes and 4" is too loud for me. Some of my friends claimed the 5" is still loud but I think it sounds perfect.
OCTurboJoe
Thanks for the input. Nameless website seem to be complicated for me :) but as per your input you've bought these items: //Features 3" resonated midpipe, 5" diameter mufflers, and 3.5" double wall quad tips.//
and any down pipe, cats etc..?
eapaaa Stock cat/downpipe. Replacing it would require a stage 2 tune. Stage 2 also requires pump and injectors because the 2015 maxes out the IDCs sooner.
OCTurboJoe what is the recommended injector size for Stage2?
eapaaa 1000cc should be good to give you more headroom.
Hello sir! Did u order exhaust hangers too or u use the stock hangers? Thanks moar powaa
I used the stock rubber hangers.
Hey Joe, do you think if I left my 15 sti stock and keepn up with scheduled maintenence via dealer then the car shouldn't have any issues lasting a long time? Basically stock tune, their oil, their recommended service intervals and no AOS.
Depends how how you drive it too. But for the most part, you'll be fully covered by Subaru should anything happen. An AOS (and the type it is) should be asked about at your dealer prior to installing. If you do end up modding and something goes wrong, you can make a warranty claim if something that broke was not the result of your mods.
OCTurboJoe ive read cat back and exhuast are fine
beantownhero617 Yup. Catback, axelback, anything after the downpipe is fine.
OCTurboJoe thanks for confirming good sir
Honestly i can't decide between invidia or nameless. HELP ME
IMO, if it's really difficult to decide, it's best to stay stock. ;)
I'm on the same boat as you dude 😰
Is there lots of drones?
No. The stock exhaust droned more, especially when cruising. The Nameless exhaust keeps the sounds in the back regardless of RPM.
hey joe which transmission and gear oil do you recommend? eneos 75w90 or motul 300? or do you recommend anything else?
If you're not gonna beat on it too much, you'd be fine with the factory fluids. But for track use or aggressive driving, I used Royal Purple, Motul, and Redline on different transmissions from different cars with no fuss. Can't go wrong with any of them unless you favor one more than the other.
OCTurboJoe Thank you sir! Would you even consider using eneos?
Never tried it. But I wouldn't avoid considering it.
how much louder would you say this is compared to stock? im stuck over this vs perrin's resonated cbe
It's definitely louder than stock but not as obnoxious as muffler deletes. It's pretty subjective so it may vary from person to person.
+OCTurboJoe would you say its twice as loud as the stock?
+frostmourne1360 I think so.
Is it safe to jack up subarus on the diff?
As long as there is something protecting the diff, yes.
i
Me too!! Nameless = 8====> - - - - -
How's it holding up? I just got mine installed last week.
I no longer have it. I sold it in 2016. However, it was working great.
whats your opinion on the namless muff deletes? is it too loud?...
KYoung2 It's a personal preference and also a subjective question as some people perceive sound differently. As for myself, yes it's loud.
wish the install part was more comprehensive
I know. I should change it to, "Installed and Tested" to avoid misleading viewers.
+OCTurboJoe true. although it is a very simple process. there are more videos out there anyways
+gamatoutsikos Absolutely.
careful on those public busy roads bro...
any highway drone with this setup?
the geek Yes
could you make a video to show the interior? I gotta drive about 20 minutes to work everyday, wanted to be able to hear howard stern. would you be ok on a long road trip down the cali coast with the 5"?
the geek Lol, I can tell you right now that if you have just the basic infotainment, it's gonna be hard to hear Howard Stern unless the volume is turned up to 40. However, if you have upgraded then it may be doable. I no longer own the 5" mufflers, I have deletes now, and with and equal length header so it'll be an apples to oranges comparison.
what dowpipe are you using
Stock downpipe.
how do you like the exhaust sound over Stock?
Good. Doesn't sound as tinny as the stock exhaust. But I'm going to install equal length headers. The rumble is getting old.
OCTurboJoe How does it get old?! I've never heard a V8 owner say they wish their V8 didn't sound like a V8! They have their unique deep loud sound the same way a WRX or STI has its own unique sound.. If you feel like the extra HP is worth it, then great. I prefer the rumble, personally. I'd like to get uneven headers for my 2015 STi soon
Aaron C. Try 17 years of hearing the rumble. In fact, Japan got rid of the UEL manifold on their EJ20s because it was too inefficient. US STIs only kept the "rumble" because it sounded good but the EL header provides more reliability and power production.
what short shifter is that? it looks really short!
Rafael K4RT30Y (Kartboy)
that's funny. I have the same one. I guess it looks shorter on video than in real life lol
Rafael Must be the GoPro skewing the view. It also looks like my seat is reclined and my arms are stretched. I don't drive that way, lol.
ahh I see, that makes sense lol
Was it easy to install ?
Yup
How do it sound cold start?
Pretty loud with the TGVs but after that, its the usual rumble. I'll upload an outside vid soon.
did you have to retune???
For this catback, no.
and from outside da car?
It sounds really good.
is it Stock hanger??
Yes. Stock rubber hangers
Noticeable power gains?
did a little too much their on your intro Joe.
No rev match downshifting :(
I was rev-match downshifting.
This video was sexy 😂💙
Nice, both hands on the wheel you are making me wet ♥.
Ray Walker Double-fisting that wheel.
How is the drone?
At first, it was fine. Eventually it started getting to me as it settled in. That's when I realized, I wanted an ELH setup.
