These are 5 tips which I feel are essential for any head shaving beginner or for anyone going through hair loss and on the verge of trying out the bald look - take these tips on board and be safe! I actually did a video on this a year back so this is a revised version (didn't like how the other one came out), and hopefully you enjoy it!

I’m a young woman (25) and just shaved because alopecia areata has taken over. I know you have a different audience, but just know those kind words toward the end of the video were everything to me also. Thank you 🙏🏼
Congrats on owning it! I lose part of my eyebrow time to time and know it can be a struggle 💪
Bald women are cute to❤
we love you!!
Congrats, I shave my head even though I'm not balding just because I like it, best thing to do is own it!
THIS!! 🙏🖤
I am 25. I am not going through any hair loss but I am shaving my head bald and keeping it that way for my mom who is going through chemotherapy and I wanna be right there with her while She deals with this. This video helped me out so much. Thank you.
you’re a great son man best of luck with everything brother
@@hoopla4784 oh dude she is totally fine now, playing solitare on the computer and petting her cat!
Thanks for the encouragement though. Also, very nice username and profile pic. 10/10 would Hoopla again.
28 years old and decided to take the dive in going bald. Have to admit it was frightening as I was going into this new transition. After I finished I felt a huge weight off my chest. It felt so good embracing the new look, and I don't regret it.
Same here. More confident now that I’ve shaved it off. Going on a year and loving it.
29 and bout to make that jump 😭 my heart can’t take this anxiety 😂
@@miquelspears6096 it feels so much better because the insecurity of trying to mask bald spots is worse then actually being bald lol
Same I am 28 and I just started shaving mine. It was on my mind for a while and I was looking forward to it. Just decided to do it one day. Its definitely something you do not plan for you just have to join the gang! Bald is beautiful! Bald gang
So I'm only 19 and have consistently been shaving my head completely bald for roughly half a year or longer. I started noticing that my hair was receding when I was like 17 and that took a pretty big toll on me considering I had medium length hair and put a lot of effort into trying to style it, which overtime just led to a weird com over type thing as my hair loss progressed over the last couple of years. I turn 20 next month and I'm really glad I decided to start shaving my head completely because I definitely didn't want to be one of those guys that clings onto the hair on the sides of their head or use a hairpiece. I'm way more confident now than I ever was. Thank you for this video as I believe it will help a lot of guys out when going through similar things.
Gets easier as you get older. To be honest, if you look good with a shaved head it is not even an issue. One good thing is you never have to think about how your hair looks.
Happy for you Ryan and well done for having the courage to embrace this completely natural change that us men go through sometimes! I've been there :) Stay well my friend
This guy's head game on point
😂There's a pun there i'm sure someone's gonna pick up on. Lol. Thanks man!!

i shaved my head bald september 30 of 2022 due to trich and i have a lot of videos about my journey on my channel. best decision ever, i'm so glad i did it. it was liberating and empowering. life changing.
I shaved my head bald about two months. It's less stressful trying to cover the bald spots than shaving it off. Thank you for making this video
The last part of this video is truly inspiring. “... an opportunity to take a look within yourself ...” Wise words. Really appreciate you making this video. I’ve been shaving my head for 5 years now and have just begun trying to use blade (hate the bumps from using a clipper). Hopefully my first blade-shave goes well. Thanks again! 😆
Youre a good man, thank you for this
Thank you so much!
The insight and wisdom you just laid out for me, wow. Was not expecting that! Thank you so much man
Thanks dude, I've been struggling to accept hair loss at the age of 24. This video really helped me look at it positively going forward
I started to shave my head about 5 years ago, and now I've started to shave it with a Razor. Thank you for all the tips and thank you for making this vid 💕
Thanks so much for taking the time to tune in Nikki! Stay well :)
I’m 18 & just went bald yesterday! Really could’ve used this video before hand but thanks for the future advice 🤙🏾
Came here cause I knew I was destined for baldness eventually. I’m turning 20 in June and was considering just doing this to experiment. But what did I get? A valuable life lesson along with the tips I was looking for. Thank you, you’re a great man 👑
Can I just say that, as a new bald head shaver, this video is exactly what I’ve been looking for. You’re straightforward, compassionate approach to giving this advice is fantastic. Keep it up!
Two minutes of knowledgeable instruction and four and a half minutes of great presentation and inspiration. I liked!
Great video man and amazing impactful message at the end. We all really appreciate it 👍
Dude your made my day! Appreciate the insights and kindness!
Hey man, just wanted to say your encouragement and empowering in this video is insane. Your a legend thanks again brother
Thank you. I’m taking the leap tonight for the first time. Tip 5 was spot on and exactly what I needed to hear. Respect. 👊🏻
Thank you man! I appreciate the kind words and happy it helped :)
I've been looking up advice for shaving my head all day and this video was so great for my nerves. Really gave my a clear and concise idea about what I can do to make the experience better. Really what I needed today so thank you man.
End of video speech, is so important. Very well said.
Love your positivity!
Followed this advice today and one of your other vids before I braved it. Spot on, thank you 👍🪒
Your advice to people on hair loss is such a positive thing that I think even full haired people might go the way of baldness.
Personally, I both shave and buzz cut depending on mood. My main issue is that I have bumps and cherry angiomas to deal with which leads to cuts here and there. And it doesn't matter whether I use a double bladed disposable shaver like BIC or an old fashioned double edged safety razor. And of course, once you have a few nicks then it's easy to recut those same spots. But most of the time it's all right.
Great video !
Me too 👌🏿, thank you this is so inspiring and hearing from someone who knows how I feel at 33 losing my hair
What a great video!
Thanks for the tips man👍
great vid Ricky, and good chat! Just do it folks, its such a great change to embrace, I love it

Dealing with cancer at 22 years old is definitely scary, but I appreciate what you said at the end of the video. Thank you for the help
Solid tips and channel man, new sub!
Much appreciated man! Thanks for taking the time to show your support :)
I truly appreciate your encouraging words
Im 22 and just started shaving my head and i love it. never going back!
Very straight forward I’m definitely going to give it a try. Which shaver would you prefer works the best?
One thing I discovered recently to shave just after shower when my scalp is still moisturized...use a 5-head head shaver and then follow up with the good ol 5 or 6 blade shave for a quick smoothening of my dome.
Top man! Cheers for this!
Thank you for watching and my pleasure man! :)
You really did nail this video bro, thanks for the help👌
Thanks bro! Really appreciated the kind words!
Super tips Sir you had saved my money and confident
Wow 😲 I didn't expect that, I feel so motivated.

My pleasure Sheldon! Hope it is going better now and stay well !
What a guy. Thankyou for this video . Inspired now too
Thank you for the kind comment my friend! My pleasure and happy to know it was able to inspire you. Stay well :)
For awhile ive thought alot about losing my hair, tbf i do think I've otherthinked it cause my hairline hasn't changed for like 5 years now, but within this ive found that if i care so much about having hair i should probably just get rid of it, then it has no bearing on my conscience if it ever really does go properly, which is what ive been doing for months now, i love being bald, thanks for the video
Great video! Thanks. Respect.
Great words of wisdom 🤝💪👊
Thanks for the pep talk. Good tips.
My pleasure and thank you :) Stay well!
What a guy! Thanx for the motivation. Just subscribed✌🏾❤️ I began balding at the age of 18 and decided to shave it and see how I look. One of the best decisions in my life
My pleasure dude and thank you so much! I couldn't be happier to hear you got such a positive result from it all. Keep shining my friend and I hope you enjoy the upcoming content :)
Thank you for the kind words at the end. I really needed to hear that. I'm going to shave my head soon.
My pleasure and thank you for taking the time to watch. Good luck with the shave :)
Great video
All I can say is "You one Kool Real Dude" thank you for posting my brother...
Thank you for such a practical video, I am a woman and going to shave my head In afew days and I need all the guidance I can get
Nice message.
Very well said.
Using CeraVe cream on your head after a shave is amazing. It’s a miracle cream IMO.
Wow, you are super cool. I’m not balding but this is something to think about ❤️
Man, I just shaved 🪒 bald for first time !! You video just boosted my ego , Thanks
Best tip ever 👌 thanx
I'm genetically bald (M shape) inherited from my father. Front hairline was tall since primary, but it just gets super obvious now I'm in my 27. It bothers me because my long hair just doesn't work well with wind and I find myself always trying to perming my hair curly to create volume and wearing a cap to hide the front baldness. Can't even enjoy the wind when I go cycling. I have now decided to go buzz cut first. And eventually find my way towards embracing full bald shave. Thanks for the words toward the end of the video, they were really helpful 💪
Great video, you have a new subscriber.
This guy is awesome.
just shaved my head at 18. thank you for your guidance.
this is not a shaving guide this is a life guide, thank you
I'm 25! Been rocking the buzz cut the last few months. Going to shave it bald today 😌
What I like about your channel Ricky, is that you are not only giving some tips on safe head shaving, but that you're also focusing on mental health. I can relate to the stories you've told. Keep up the great job you're doing!
Thank you Michal! Makes me happy to know the content has been relatable and of course, something like hair loss and mental health go hand in hand in my eyes. I hope you continue to enjoy the content coming up in the future 🙏🏽👊🏽
Being bald is power and strength warriors, guys we must be proud of it God thanks. Embrace it 🦁🦅🐺👑
Don’t forget to use an astringent after shaving. I personally use witch hazel wipes. This also helps prevent razor bumbs and feels really good on your scalp.
Very Very helpful thank you.
Maybe it's because I was used to get getting buzzcuts my entire life, but making the jump to full-on bald actually wasn't that scary for me, thankfully. What I definitely agree with you on, and what I want other guys who aren't having as easy a time as I did to know, is that you'll find out....you actually don't look half bad with it all off or, even better, you look *better* than you did with your hair.
Even though mine would never grow very long, I always felt kinda dorky with it at a certain length, especially before I grew my beard (which, unfortunately, being almost 23, has yet to attain your level of gloriousness). But now? Damn, shave my head down and with the facial hair I've got....even *I* have to admit I look good, and I have self-esteem problems besides.
Appreciate the vid, broski, and especially that you just gave advice and not a documentary with a laundry list of expensive "must-have" products.
I started balding at fourteen or fifteen but it didn’t pickup until around this time last year. Thanks for the advice.
I started crying immediately from 4:37. Thank you for these words.
Your absolutely right
Been on the 0 shaver for years. Going to try full blade cut now. Good vid
Nice! Hope it goes well :) Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you. I have been shaving my head the last months and I end up cutting myself. This has really helped me
Very awesome positive video
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Use soaps and brush friend! Another level!👍🏻
26 years young and just shaved my head, only started going bald two years ago. Like the new look
Thank you dude
Thanks for the video, can you also test a few shavers and show us which saver works best? Eg. Disposable, double side blade, etc...
Absolutely! If you check out my videos i've actually done a few reviews on different products and also did a video on Buzzing your head with a razor VS Buzzing with an electric shaver which may be of interest :) Will try do more in the future too.
This quarantine has made me to cut my hair and I begun to sport a bald cut which I like a lot! Thanks for great tips! 🌝👌
Great to hear and happy to hear you like the look too! Blessings to you!
Same. I need to find some kind of electric razor though if I'm to keep going. I'm so slow with a normal razor it's ridiculous. Sides and especially the back are all the trouble. Being bald on top would hardly make it any faster imo, that's the easiest bit.
@@UsernameInvalidTHIS I bought some generic rechargeable 4D electric head shaver from Aliexpress that cost me around $15. It's easy to use and maintain.
@@Avetarx Yeah, I'm looking around at them atm. When the shaver shop opens up again here I'm going to look at them in person. Philips ones are a bit of money, but when you compare them to the price of a few haircuts...
Guys that are ashamed of having to shave their heads, think about this: Michael Jordan, The Rock, Shaq, Jeff Bezos, Mr Clean. All bald, all studs.
Mr Clean.😂
Tupac
Thank you for your post. It is hard time seeing your hair go. And that post picked up my spirits.
Steve Mcfadden tho
@Patrick Bertlein plenty of white men brother , Jason statham , bruce willis the list goes on and on!
man last tips were gold
my hair loss starts at 19 I'm pretty done with hiding this fact
and I decided to embrace it at 23
thanks for this video
Great video, how often would you shave your head? Every 4 days, or?
That beard is glorious
bro any video where you are practically showing how to shave the head yourself? My wife's been doing it for me and I want to be self sufficient! Thank you
Thank you sir!
I’m about to cut my fiancé bald. The barbershop did it the first time last week, but used clippers. We are going to use the razor at home today. 😬 Wish us luck!
That's awesome! Nothing says support like you shaving his head for him. Best of luck and I hope it went well! :)
Thanks ricky
My situation is a bit different. I am balding, have been for a number of years but primarily I want to shave my head because of my dry scalp and my case of dermatitis that I can't shake no matter what shampoo I've tried. I normally shave my head with my trimmer and a 00000 blade which is as close to the skin as possible, only one level above completely bald. I have only shaved my head once with a razor but personally I think shaving makes the most sense in the shower which minimizes cuts, razor bumps, keeping your face or scalp warm makes shaving much easier.
Baby smooth head gang ✊
Thank you for that
I’m 28 and be suffering and letting balding stop me form living my life since 23. I’m just now ready to catch up on all the things I been missing out on.
Top Geezer! ❤
