I never seem to get a straight answer for this question and hopefully you can give me one…I was once told you never use fresh flowers on cakes due to sanitary and unhygienic reasons, is this true?
Hello Kimberly, It totally depends on what your local laws are so you will need to look into this. We always wash our florals and dry them thoroughly and use cocktail sticks or food safe wires with tape to safely prepare them so that no exposed stems are placed into the cake. Often we use a "fake" cake tier if we need to insert flowers as an option as well. Cheers, Yvette
