    I do appreciate the time and effort that this video took and I am thankful and grateful as I do understand the technique but...I really don't want to comment, but after a while, all I can think of is; White on white, on white, on white. White cake, white paper, white countertop, pale toothpick which is not assisted by the camera angle...2nd cake same. we have to watch the black gloves to guess what is happening. Yes, I feel as though I am blind. You do get a thumbs up as your audio was great.

      Hello! Thank you for taking to the time to comment. As you can appreciate, white on white is very popular- especially for wedding cakes. I totally understand that this combination is more difficult to see the technique compared to using colours, so I will be more mindful next time as I am sure there will be plenty more coloured cakes in this style where we can show you the technique again.     I never seem to get a straight answer for this question and hopefully you can give me one…I was once told you never use fresh flowers on cakes due to sanitary and unhygienic reasons, is this true?

      Hello Kimberly, It totally depends on what your local laws are so you will need to look into this. We always wash our florals and dry them thoroughly and use cocktail sticks or food safe wires with tape to safely prepare them so that no exposed stems are placed into the cake. Often we use a "fake" cake tier if we need to insert flowers as an option as well. Cheers, Yvette

    Worst ideea ever my kids didn’t want to eat the eggs first so the put them in their pockets and took some of the frosting with them and they also melted 0/10

      Well of course they melted in their pockets! I wouldn't expect anything else to happen. Cupcakes like this would always be best eaten straight away.

      hello! Yes we start with a deep pink then add red. You can use most brands of gel colour but we have used progel for the pink and americolour/vivid for the red. Have fun!

    Only if fondant wasnt gross! I e even made mine homemade, but you still get that cardboard dry taste. This is a beautiful, super fast, and easy way to decorate, but i cant (and everybody else ive ever baked for), cant stand fondant. Its vreat to decorate cakes, but i use more buttercream, meringue, ganache, or whatever im using, so you can peel the fondant off. That way you have enough frosting for the cake.
