Hey! Been watching your videos recently and found it a great resource to learn about sprint paddling! Could you share some tips on how to be coordinated in a team boat and whether one should paddle it differently to a K1? Ive been having trouble with feeling resistance in the water when paddling a k4
Great question and prompt for a potential future video. To answer your question in short- yes you must paddle a little different in a teamboat than in a single. You also must paddle different per seat you are in for each boat. Stroke seat is much different than second and third and fourth. If you are having trouble finding the "grab" of the catch then the timing is off. To start, we would recommend doing the backing drill where the paddlers together back the boat up and slowly but firmly reverse one last stroke into the catch position and hold. Repeat until smooth and in unison.
That was very interesting! What a difference in the boat after it was deep cleaned and waxed!
