You can treat that clear coat similar to clear coat paint. Probably Magic Eraser then a polish should be sufficient without using the rubbing compound!
Really helpful. Thanks for the great guide. Can I check if step 3 is a abrasive (ie polish)? I presume not and you can wash (just soap and sponge NOT magic eraser) and polish fairly regularly? Thanks!
Great question! Yep polish is not that abrasive to the paint overall. It's protectant coat lasts quite awhile depending on usage so quarterly or semi annual with polish is sufficient and using the soap/sponge or rag combo is enough to lift most dirt off.
Most of the stuff here describes working the clear coat over the paint so it would work on clear coat carbon. Stay gentle with marine wax/polishes vs the full on cutting compounds unless it's really filthy.
very good
Great video and super helpful thankyou.
That’s great. Thank you. One ski I own is a clear coat black carbon fibre (NK Storm). Could you please give some advice on polishing/cleaning it?

Interesting video I haven't thought of a magic eraser. What would you recommend for clear coat over carbon fiber?

@@K2NOPS thank you for the advice. My Falcon is long overdue for a thorough cleaning.
