As long as you're having fun with an rc and can afford to fix it there's no problems. The problem that people have in rc is they aren't prepared to pay for the amount of fun they think they should have.
I had the losi Baja Rey version 2 1/10 and the Super Baja version 1 1/6. No more in my life. I spent huge money with replacement tyres (once they blew out by the first run already), replacement parts and to replace electronics. No man.

lol remember I said too bad you dont have a new wheel or two with you on one of the other vids :) your definitely getting lucky finding that nut. To bad Gopro stopped making the session its a easier camera to mount lots of fpv guys used them.
See if the hex is catching the housing, if it's getting warm it's rubbing, axle heats up then the nylock melts and comes loose
You lose a lot of lug nuts, and you find 100% more lug nuts than anyone I know lol.

the nylon wears down on the lock nuts, but they're cheap and plentiful - in a pinch you could try swapping sides on the locknuts
i'm trying out some lock washers also, they're a bit pricier

Dude just got my Baja Rey last week. Been running 3s batteries, but only 50/75% throttle. But I was just taking wheels off the look and assess, turns out I’m missing a caliper on my passenger front wheel. Just not there. Not broken just missing. And the screw that went into the hub was backed out 7-8 turns.
My right rear stripped too but to not nosedive on jumps 3s works best for me

@@rcguygarage Just run a thin line across the threads. When i used to put too much on had an Arrma vortex i could not undo the wheel nut and i blew a Tamiya wrench a Traxxas and an Arrma wrench then started to rage! ended up using heat to get it undone with a hardened steel wheel wrench.
Yeah I've had to burn out the loctite from wheel nuts before😂🤣😂🤣

Naive question regarding the torque steer - would't instead driving a lower kv motor on 3s be a better option than the original motor on 3s? The motor would have less RPMs and thus should produce less torque steer. At least in theory.
Good thinking but you're just chasing unicorns to an extent You want that torque for the type of driving that this RC is designed for and that's what a lot of people miss out on Is that it's designed for a specific way of driving. It's still a great truck and I actually enjoy the pains of learning how to drive it.
@@rcguygarage Well, I said ... in theory ... :p Still - what I want from the car is torque but what makes it to lift the front left wheel under acceleration is momentum conservation and these two things are not identical (though not unrelated). But the fact remains, that even if one could get some improvement, it would most likely not be worth the hassle. I am expecting that as the more and more cars will get out there, many will try to mitigate this effect and will most likely come up with more practical ideas. But from what I have seen - even as it comes out of the box the car is a blast. I would be awesome to be able to run it side by side with the Mojave (which at times actually feels too big, to be honsst)
