    My PT did gua sha on my calves for foot pain...my varicose veins DISSAPPEARED!!!! So I started doing it myself - larger & larger areas until I was doing my whole leg. CELLULITE is 100% GONE!!! It's only been a couple months!!! I only do it 1x per week!!! I was shocked 😲 🤯🥳 I'm still overweight but my legs are smooth & beautiful like a baby!!!!
    At 1st it was wicked painful when he was doing it but once all the knots went away, I started craving it

      How bad was your cellulite to begin with? And do you mind if I ask your age? Wondering if you have older saggier skin or younger tighter skin? I’m 47 and my body skin has lost all of its elasticity and collagen. :(

      @Carmen Estel I'm 34 & it was visually noticeable but not that bad. I am 100 lbs overweight but besides diet I try to take care of myself so my skin is healthy. Microneedling 1x monthly is supposed to help rebuild the skin; maybe that will help.

    In my 60’s. Use small gua sha on hands and knees, even fingers! Gets rid of arthritis. My hand muscles get tight due to gym or playing guitar. Loosens them up. Use on feet, between and on toes to lessen neuropathy.

    If I had not tried it myself I would not have believed that this would make my cellulite and knots disappear. I’m diving into lymphatic drainage myself and I cannot believe the results in such a short time. I will not wear shorts or skirts because of my legs. This summer is going to be different. I am not only seeing results but I’m starting to feel better for the first time in years!

    For anyone skeptical about getting a body guasha tool: I had a facial guasha tool and used it with some oil on my legs (and basically, the whole body, decolletage , calves, arms, neck, shoulder) and while time consuming (due to the tiny size of the facial guasha tool), it showed me that it works! Now going to invest in the body guasha tool 🙏. Thank you so much for this video, Rachel!! Much love & gratitude from the UK 💖

    healthy sea salt intake does NOT increase water weight!!!!!!! IT IS THE LACK OF POTASSIUM WITH SALT THAT CAUSES WATER WEIGHT - there's a PROPER RATIO of salt to potassium and since our soils are depleted AND we eat salty junk instead of potassium rich foods, we all have water weight Do NOT decrease salt---- you must INCREASE potassium!!!! Also, lack of potassium in soil where corn, celery, etc are grown will cause many growth issues for crops, and water wont make it to the top, so the plant gets sick

    This has really puzzled me and I’ve come up with a theory (likely not new but I’ve not read this before, lol) of why this may work- temporarily.
    So, cellulite is actually subcutaneous fat being pushed up against our skin *through* the fibrous connective tissue holding it down to the muscle. Supposedly, the fibrous cords are arranged differently in men, in such a way that they don’t get cellulite and can we all agree that is totally not fair! 🤣🤣🤣
    I’m surmising when you use that tool, it physically pushes the fat back down a bit and..voila! Appearance of cellulite is gone. Um, but the fat isn’t, sorry to be a party 💩.
    And that explains the temporary effect, because if it was truly gone then it would not be necessary to be consistent with that technique. Fat can’t disappear that easily 😭😭.
    But hey! I’m all for any temporary noninvasive, benign techniques! 🥳🥳🥳

The therapy has been a TCM treatment for a few thousand years so I think we are safe using them! They definitely should be made of stone, bone, or metal, not plastic. 😉I had no idea there were full-body sized tools! I think even if the cellulite results are temporary, it's still cleansing for the lymphatic system and probably over time results are more lasting. Cheers! 🙏🏾

    I have an electric gua sha that my friend gave me, I not only have cellulite but also as I have gotten older, I developed saggy skin as well. I have several devices, that I have used, but I feel like the gua sha is so much better. Yes, it is a bit uncomfortable when you first start out but that is because your body is not used to the healing aspect. from what it thinks it has a damaging effect that will bring more collagen to the surface of the skin. I have poor circulation anyway, but I use these devices because I believe if you use them every day or 3 to 5 days a week to start, you will feel much better as time goes on moving up to 5 days a week, to 6 your body will thank you. Here are the devices I have, the electric GUA SHA, a NEW FACE FIX, FEREO BEAR MINI, and the LED ECO MASK which I used, but now selling on Poshmark if you could have seen my face in 2021 you would have been shocked to see how young looking I have become, AT THE AGE OF 63 from all these devices and now I use the LED OMNILUX MASK upgraded from the LED Eco mask, it saved me from getting more wrinkles. I am happy with each item I have purchased.

      Such a good question, yes I do skip exfoliating gloves when I dry brush. Unless I’m going to get my “spray-tan on” in which case the more exfoliating the better!

    It seems that the material and shape do matter to some. Any reason you linked a wooden one that is relatively large? If so…Any guidelines when picking one from the sea of Amazon products, now that you have been using yours for a while?

    • @RundownwithRachel
      @RundownwithRachel  Рік тому

      Such a great question! The wooden one has many different groove sizes that allows for lots of angles and options. It’s probably nice to simply start with a wooden one, a cost effective one, to get acquainted. Then invest in a stone if wanting to upgrade. The Chel gua sha is made of a bian stone which is said to have many trace minerals and healing properties. Is it much different than the wooden one or more effective 🤷🏻‍♀️ - I don’t know how noticeable the difference is. I haven’t had much experience with the wood one - but I can see it’s something I should explore! I’ll report back soon!
