If you’re in the trees a lot, a great idea is to go work on your swing so you don’t go into the trees as much. And the more you play and practice, the more your scores will go down. You can’t expect to make great improvements playing only once per week.
Hannah, I broke 70 for the first time this past weekend after adopting your putting grip (I assume based on the Kotahi style). Almost everything went in...except when I 3-putted twice! LOL Still ended up with an easy 68.
The best golfer I have ever played with was a master of 4 iron off the tee on most holes, and self-described as playing chicken. He was also on the green or very close and had a great pitching wedge chipping game. He could hit a great 3 wood, but the 4 iron was his money shot.
How would you approach long par 4s (where you may not be long enough to hit in regulation unless you hit 2 shots right on the nose)? Would you play it as a par 5?
That strategy would make sense. On most occasions you will end up short or wide of the green with shot #2, but sometimes you might hit the green somewhere. Sometimes your chip might be close enough to hole for par, but often it will be a bogey result. ( chip and two putts) In my experience even when I do hit the green with shot #2 from maximum distance out, the first putt is a long one and unless I get it right, one of three!
Thanks Hannah for yet another brilliant video, going to try put few of these into practice over the weekend, might break 100! 🤣, which vid is the one with advice on putting grip please? thanks a million and keep up the brilliant vids
Hitting Driver as much as practical is fine, but what if you are having a bad day with that club? Rather than persist and work out the problem on the course ( =more wayward shots), would it not be more sensible to leave the Driver in the bag and go to a more reliable club to stay in play off the tee?
Yes but I would drop down to a club that is definitely straighter such as an iron. If you’re wayward with driver most likely you will be wayward with 3 wood
@@nationalclubgolfer agreed ! A shorter shafted club would be indicated when having my a bad swing day. I use a single length 19 degree hybrid when all else fails as a fairway finder off the tee.
Optimize driver, dial in irons and wedges, practice long lag putts, have a game plan and be ready to take your medicine. Bonus tip: Get in the gym and get a real training program. You can do this. 💪🏽

Great content! Hannah your ball striking is amazing!

I love that putter grip! So good, does take a little practice to adjust to speed control with it. Congrats on breaking 70 though, great golf!!
@@nationalclubgolfer What is the Kotahi putting grip? Thanks
@@anthonyviola9400 I have a video explaining it here... ua-cam.com/video/R8Noyp3rkz0/v-deo.html
This is a great video. Gonna watch this again before my next round
Great tips for any golfer who wants to lower their handicap probably better than an hour on the range
Such great advice!
Another great video
Thanks!
Also, are there any pro techniques and tips for swinging in front of your shadow? I can be really put off by it ! Thanks

Yes strategy is massively more important than people think!

Yes I would play it as a Par 5!
Getting up & down at least 50% of the time and hitting at least 8 GIR's.
Please teach me some long iron tips
Love that swing
Thanks!

Found it Hannah, thanks
Oh grouse - thanks Hannah.. quality.
1. play from the correct tee boxes. too many ego golfers out there.
Really only one way to break 80, play well
"You've missed a sixty yard-wide fairway what are the odds now of you nailing it through a two yard gap?"
Never tell me the odds!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are beautiful young lady, with a beautiful golf swing!
Thanks!
Biggest tip is to swing within yourself. Going too hard throws everything out of whack.
Hannah, some great tips. Broke 80 a few times this season. Are you on LinkedIn?
Yes I am on Linkedin
Hi Hannah, I put a post up at the weekend regarding a parkinsons golf challenge I am planning next season. Also put a comment on instagram. Nick
