The solid bar has done a marvellous job of protecting the engine in a drop and slide, I'm not sure adding folding pegs would be worth the risk without adding a crash cage
@@NicksBikes Crash Cage doesn´t really matter. I had the original Footpegs and the Givi Cage on my one as i crashed and the bike slamed so hard on it´s rear End that the whole ECU broke together with the rear Frame assembly. And alone with that you can do the Math by your self it´s not worth it anymore to bother with repairs because it wasn´t the only damage. There would be at least the Footpegbar, Fork + Headlight to keep it Streetlegal here on Top wich are all together somewhere in the Ballpark of 2000€+ alone in Parts for an Bike that cost 2800-3000€ new. So it doesn´t matter if you change to normal Footpegs exept for roadworthy inspections. In that moment where the Bike slams so Hard that they could make tiny difference the Bike ist in 7 or 8 out of 10 Cases dead anyways.
If I don't see another video before Christmas 🎄 have a great one 👍
Cheers mate, right back at ya :)
Nothing big planned between now and the new year, maybe just a ride or two
Well done mate!
Thanks :) Pulling the rubber boot off was the longest part of the job 😅 🤦♀
@@NicksBikes Keep at it!
You did it......Hooowwwp Hooowwwp !!!
Nice one Nick. But as a Brit: *spots advancing Aussie spider under bike, buys flamethrower to incinerate bike just in case*.
I'd love to fit folding pegs.

Yeah well there's exceptions to every rule, isn't there? But I'd still prefer to have SOME protection than none at all
@@NicksBikes I just bought a new 2024 MT-03 and it's absolutely wonderful. LOVE it!!!!!!
@@theaustralianconundrum I do like Yamahas. I'd love to get my hands on an old Virago
