I'm the same way with the plastic. Just a side note, the weather and sun will cause it to permanently adhere and not only that but perforate, so when you do try to take it off.... I'm not even getting into that😂
That light defies the point of SPOTLIGHT, if you can't stop on target. That and the noise of the motor might be the difference between it and a more expensive version.
The idea is good, but it looses in application. Needs infinite travers and elevation. Long ago I saw similar items in the Gall's fire and police catalog; don't remember pricing. Thanks for showing us.

I agree, it should be able to traverse fully. Stronger magnet. Waterproof etc.
I have had the exact same head unit for about a 7-8 months now and I still have the plastic on it
