- In this video I cover the process of changing the top bushes on the rear shock absorbers/dampers on Abarth 500/595/695.
Also applicable for Fiat 500.
I would strongly recommend purchasing polyurethane replacement bushes - the original design is completely unsuitable and the Polyurethane replacements are much easier to fit.
Fantastic video, absolutely explained in detail, I’ve a Fiat Abarth 595 (2018) I’ve intermittently got serious squeaking coming from rear suspension on both sides, I’ve looked @ my bushes underneath & there’s huge gaps, so gauge that my bushes have give up the ghost, but after watching your video I don’t sense it’s going to be an expensive job, can’t truly see it being anything else, keep up the cracking videos, you’ve a new subscriber in me, regards Gary⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
All Fiat 500s with oem rear shocks failed prematurely because of the bad design of the upper bushings. I replaced mine with KYBs which have solid rubber bushings. If you can afford them Koni yellows are a great upgrade again with solid rubber bushings.
Fantastic video very helpful and fairly certain this is what’s Happened with n my step daughters car
Why screw around replacing the bushings? Considering the economics and time involved, replace those wimpy oem shocks with new upgrade shocks you’ll thank me 😊
Or one could use a bench vice to push out the bushes…
Where did you get the bushes? Thanks
@@MicroTurboComplex Direct from power flex, if I recall correctly.
Hello do you still get the car ? I need very important info buddy
Hi do you know what size the bush is? PFR16-515 or PFR16-516? Thanks
@@kohinoorc sorry I can't recall - I just referenced the diagram on the power flex website!
