Just got to tell you sir. I found you around 3-4 months into my rocket league journey and from starting Nov 2023 to now hitting 1492 tonight I wanted to say thank you! My big goal was GC rewards but perhaps this could go even further next season :)
No way! I found you a couple months ago and you already helped me achieve the impossible! After I found you I immediately started implementing the style of shadowing, funneling and boost stealing that you teach in this series… Today, RL matched me against a season 13 SSL in a casual game… I played a near perfect game and won in OT! I’m currently p3, peaked at d2 in 1s. (I’ve only been playing casual while learning this new style) Never thought something like this was possible for a plat like me. Gives me a new hope for the future! So, I just wanted to say I couldn’t have done it without these videos. Thank you sir, this stuff clearly works! Please keep this series coming!
@AirChargedGaming mate I've gone from average 8 goals a game 1v2 to 15 is now the average , 1v2 If you still do coaching classes , I would want you to train me !
Is the point of bringing the ball back to your corner to: If they push, u get an easy counter attack and open goal by hitting on the wall. If they give space, you get a dribble/attack from a better angle the their corner by not hitting it off the wall. If this is it great! If not or if theres more, can you elaborate please?
When you go for 'corner control 1', what do you do if you hit the ball down off the wall? I find that the bouncing ball naturally leads to a ball carry, which always gets me instant challenged. Do you just drop the ball, or is there a better method? Great video as always!💪
@@slevinkelevra1980ify really appreciate that, I've got about 5 episodes to catch up on but having difficulty ripping them from the live stream at the moment
Hey there Aircharged, discovered you through the replay reviews of Monkey Moon's 1s, 2s, and 3s. I would absolutely love to see you breakdown more of his gameplay! I hit GC3 for the first time last season and am looking to continue those consistent fast fundamentals and push towards SSL.
I really appreciate your support! Hitting GC3 is an amazing achievement, and I'm excited to hear about journey to SSL. Stay tuned for more content! I will certainly look more into M0nkey m00n in the future. Although I think I have done an episode on M0nkey m00n as well, that you may find useful, thanks again! :)
It's not a sensitivity thing, it's a mechs thing, he needs to learn the value of the light light touch on the joystick. Esp if hes on Xbox controller. Dribble overhaul 2 is good at forcing people to learn this. It might also be as simple as letting him know to be super soft on his joystick degrees and he will see the diff. Insane training though forreal. If he has internalized all youve taught him he already knows more about the game then most up to like low gc2s imo.
It's not a one or the other thing, it's a little bit of both. Yes I agree he needs to learn the value of light touches on the joystick, but holy hell he barely taps the joystick and his car turns 30 degrees. He needs to lower his steering sens to something more reasonable, like 1.2-1.5 to make it easier to do light touches. From the looks of it I think he's over 2 in this video.
@@hagi02 I bet hes already at 1.2-1.5 from this video. And imo he should be on a flat 1. However as I said in the comment, I bet he just doesn't yet realize he needs to make his fingers super light and finesse the joystick rather then push it. I didn't know about that till high c2 - already hitting c3 either tbh lol.
Seems like he has a tendency to always turn inwards towards the ball on the wall in the corner. It's not intuitive at all, and I don't think he really noticed that if you drive up the wall close to the ball, you need to turn outwards to make it easier to get on the inside. He's turning inwards towards the ball when he drives up the wall close to the ball and even with perfect 180 deg powerslide turn, he'll still be in an awkward position to control the inside, especially if the ball has a lot of horizontal momentum, carrying it across the face of goal.
@@hagi02 I think this comes to vision and knowing habits of the opponents. For example, if they're hesitant on the approach turning in is the right move as it has a built in fake to freeze the opponent, as opposed to turning away which could give them the green light to go for a bump. If they're charging in, turning away can be the way to go, unless they are coming from underneath whereby it's better to turn in and explode right away 💪😁
I thought this video was great but FYI--I can't join your discord, the anti bot features rejected me ("we detected something strange...") and I'm just using Arc and adblock. Shrug
Thank you for that comment! Regarding the discord situation, that isn't anything specific to my channel, more so a discord issue, sorry I can't help more
@AirChargedGaming i bet when you got bullied at school your mum didn't take you seriously. "Mum i was at school today and this boy bobbled my head off the wall a few times" 🤣
Just buy the pass.. now that I have quit paying for the past I am being forced to shut down into plat 1 gold 3... What's hilarious is the previous seasons where I was actually more garbage than I am now I was diamond div 2 or 3... But now that I have quit paying for the pass even though I'm definitely more skilled, I'm in a lower rank. Makes no sense 😕.. iv been getting the most hard carry games of my life here recently.

That drag back is a great way to make a plat teammate lose it too lol. Great vid.
Haha fair point 🤣. Thank you 🙏😁
Corners are the worst. I wish evil on whoever designed those squared corners at least once a game. 😂
Haha especially when they do a completely unreadable bounce 🤣

Maybe but no way can you get gc2 easily at all. Even mid diamond is full of washed up champs resetting on ya.
Great call! Really appreciate the kind words, he's taking it in really well 💪😁

@@AirChargedGaming totally agree. He needs to first be able to perform either maneuver, and then execute based on situation
@hagi02 absolutely, hard skill to master, but I believe 💪😁
Excellent vid. So its not good to fifty in their corner.... whats the optimal options in our corner?
Always fifty in your corner.
Thank you James! Depending on position I'll either fake and extend them or 50 from high to low and inside to out 💪😁
Love this

Ben's steering sensitivity is way too high lol. He's jerking left and right and cant control where he's going
He dropped it to 1.2 so I think its more so getting used to not jamming the controller as much :)
Bobble = Bounce for the non English people here 🤣
LMAO I even googled for bobble and its like I made it up, but yeah that's definitely an older English word for bounce :D

What is pass?
Uhh I think he's saying that since he didn't get the rocket pass, he's a lower rank? Than when he does get it? I think?
It's certainly a tough time to play right now, if you play like everyone else 💪😁
Same. Dude as soon as I hit gold 3 div 4 in 2s, I get matched with the most clueless garbage on the planet. Every single time.
