Just went through the exact same process including labeling L and R on my friends oven with virtual same circular element perished as with video cooker, Before watching video. But can't get the element same day unfortunately So hoping to pick one up locally tomorrow
As long as the wires connecting to the element are long enough, I don't see why not. But it's not really saving you that much time or effort because you will still need to remove them all to see which one is blown unless you get lucky like Vince did and it is the first one.

can you take the fan cover off to check the element without removing the oven completely and if damaged replace it.
