Thanks for this one. I have a Mini 2 and Inspire1 Pro. This app seems to say it works with both of these. I also have a DJI XT thermal camera but I don’t see that on their list. I was goin got buy the Air 2 S but if I can do mapping with Mini 2 or I1Pro that.would be great

Great video, did you plan to do one for the Mini Pro 3? Ive a mini pro 3 with the RC remote ( controller with screen built in ) and something like this would be great for our surveys

Thank you so much for the video. Our Department is looking for a cost effective alternative to some of the other mapping programs out there. Basic 2D thermal hotspot detection is needed for some operations and the fact that we can run it on smaller platforms like the Mavic Mini's and Autel Nanos is great (Also, prefer to map off the iPad and not DJI Smart Controllers). Do you know if the application has the ability to import KML files like GSP did? Also, does it RTH automatically for battery changes. Thanks again for the work!
Thanks for watching, im not sure about your first question, but it does RTH for battery changes and then picks up where it left off.
You can't do thermal with a drone that doesn't have a thermal camera. The mavic mini series is an example of something that does not have thermal capability.

No it does not. It will save all the photos it takes and geotag them, and then you upload all of the photos onto the software when you do have internet connection.

Depending on how windy it is when you are doing the mapping, the final map should be fairly precise. And I just shared the link that maps made easy gave to me for the project.

I have the mini 3 pro but it isn't listed in the options of cameras in the Map Pilot Pro app. If I select another camera in the list (like mini 2 or air 2) will it still work with my mini 3?

We carry out a lot of mapping work using the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Pix4D capture app, so easy these days. We also use Pix4D to process the data

I'd love to this but we have two very small and very unused airport within all my area I would be able to map so DJI doesn't allow take off.

It can do 3D, its just a little harder to get an accurate finished product with a mini 2.

Hi, I tested Map Pilot Pro today with my DJI Air2s to create a series of photos to use with the mapping program WebODM. The 2D&3D maps produced are consistent with maps created using my Autel EVO ll with the Autel Explorer app Missions. What was interesting was that the Map Pilot Pro program automatically changed the drone speed to a slower than my set speed to produce the best photos accuracy at the beginning of the flight. It was early in the morning where the shutter speed would have been too slow. I am very impressed with Map Pilot Pro.
Do you need internet connection when you are out in the field?
Can the app be used on a computer, or do you have to manipulate everything on the iPad? Also, does the drone controller need to be plugged into the iPad? If I download the app, will it explain what I need to do in detail?
Like the idea. Trying the free, and although you said, I believe, the Free gives you 3GB, when I uploaded this test, it said I only have ONE GB/??? Processing the 1GB version (¼ resolution) now.
Hayden how are you? I would like to ask you something, when I try starting the flight, an error appear on the screen “ there was an error executing the command (code 1008). Do you know What does it happen?
Can you switch the rc transmitter during the mission off or does it need to stay on?
From what I know the dji drones does not store flight info onboard so the transmitter has to be on at all times, otherwise the drone will go into whatever failsafe mode is set.

Does your camera pitch randomly from 90 degrees to 70 degrees at the end of a line? If so, have you found a solution to this problem?
Yes, mine does as well. I have not found a solution for it yet though.
