80 dollar yearly subscription on PS5 is also another issue if you want to game online. So in 5 years you would've lost 400 dollars which could've gone to upgrading the PC
I think if you dont buy the Phisycal ps games and sell them again, pc is now cheaper in the long run. But if you buy only the physical ones and sell them all, ps should be cheaper.
After 10+ years of psn main and Xbox extra as well I can’t lie I would have to end up going for pc due to the price and way more flexibility and edge a pc gets
Ive paid for 20+ consecutive years of Xbox Live. I can't make myself calculate how much Ive spent just for the ability to play online with my consoles. I seriously may cry.
Thankfully I am a pc gamer anyway, with my main system running an I5 13600k, 64gb ram (mess around with linux and virtual machines), and an RTX 3080 12gb. Though, I do have a switch oled (pokemon scarlet+violet special edtion), as well as an Xbox series X in the living room. But if I had nothing and had to choose only between a PS5 pro or the PC you spec'd out in this video. I would choose the PC, hands down. Especially when you factor in the need to pay for PSN, and if you want to run disks on the PS5 pro; you must buy the optical drive separately. It just isnt worth it.
Even if it was "less powerful" than the PS5, a $700 PC is _good_ _enough_ to play any modern game _and_ you'll get access to a significantly larger game library, mods, fan-translations, and emulators. You can even install SteamOS, ChimeraOS, or something similar if you want a console-like experience.
I'm not a huge fan of these types of budget PCs, I often find if you're not willing to shell out north of $1500 (US) you're usually better off with the console counterpart if the device is meant specifically for gaming. Also, a couple of things with these budget builds: - You still need to consider a good Keyboard and Mouse solution, and potentially if it's a console migrating user, a solid controller. - Your specific build only has a 1TB drive, according to the blog post I read yesterday, PS5 Pro has 2 TB. - People often skip the windows license, you didn't, nice touch. - Console optimization used to be slightly better, nowadays it's a crapshoot, but Windows VS PS5's operating system I still feel like the PS5 has the upper hand when you're competing on similar performance hardware. Regardless of all this though, I feel like Sony failed to make a compelling argument for the PS5 Pro, more so even than the PS4 Pro, which I bought day one. Their whole shtick was basically "We're the dominant console and that's what you're paying for." - Which really rubbed me the wrong way, especially after PS5 price hikes in Japan and controller price hikes everywhere, when the controller sticks are still hot garbage. Ultimately I don't have a dog in this race anymore, when publishers stopped giving a damn about physical media, my interest in console hardware took massive nosedive with the exception of the Switch, which appears to be one of the few that is still interested in serving that kind of enthusiast market.
Expensive keyboards and mice doesn't really equates to quality, I've had a hyperX keyboard that's like north of $100 and a logitech mice for $80, keyboards from brands like royal kludge and mice from atkshark or mchose easily outperforms the namebrand ones in my experience.
@@Benri05 yeah plenty of cheap chinese premium mouse/keyboard brands have been flooding the market over the past few years that are just as good/better than the big dogs (razer/logi/pulsar/corsair/asus/etc...)
I think you should be the top comment. I agree with just about everything you said and it was the reason I said how I'm confused as to why people (casual consumers) are shocked about the price. For them to give more, even if only a little bit more, would have to make for a price increase, especially while they have no direct competition since Xbox is basically dead beside the few hardcore fans The ONLY thing making pc vs console a conversation that most pc fans hated was the fact that consoles are targeted to casual consumers, and it's ONLY possible because they don't make money on the console. However, if Sony decides to set the trend with this console being the first one to sell for profit, personally, I wouldn't be surprised due to the economy. A bad economy affects everyone, even top companies. The ONLY thing I'm wondering is if this will genuinely be the first time people massively switch to pc or if this is just another instance this year of the casual consumer being fake mad at something or just ignorant. I'm noticing people seem to be really entitled for some reason when companies are clearly realizing the world (economically) is changing.
@@Benri05 I've used a lot of mouse and keyboards and worked on building PC's and software for pcs and all that other good stuff. I only say that because I think most people will want a brand name that looks familiar and cool. I mean, so many countless studies are done on this in controlled environments, and it's just human nature, so I like to acknowledge it rather than try to fight people on it. I would recommend Razer or Logitech for most people or even Steelseries as solid brands they will stick with long term.
I cant agree more, iam due to upgrade my 8700k and 6700 xt and mainly use it for gaming. Alan wake II is barely playable in full hd high settings. Console is nothing but game optimization and upgrading the whole system will as well cost me $1000 due to new platform and 4070/ 7800xt so ps5 pro might be my best route.
My last PC (i7-4790k, 16GB DDR3 1600, Asus Z-97 Pro Mainboard) lasted 11 years with one GPU upgrade from GTX 770 to GTX 1080. Even the GPU upgrade was only 8,33€ a month for it's lifespan if you do the math. Less than people pay for PSN Online 😅 Now i upgraded case, mainboard, psu, ram 32gb ddr5 6000 and CPU to AMD 7800x3D for 900€, which will probably also last that long. Only need a GPU upgrade now and iam good for a loooooong time.
Consoles are PCs now but without the capabilities of a PC. They do not make sense anymore. Sure there are great PS exclusives but all are coming to PC in time. Do you really have to play them at 30 fps 1 year before the unlimited fps PC version? Switch 2 should be the console people needs to pick up in the future. That is if one day Nintendo realizes that my refrigirator has a better CPU than the original Switch in 2024.
I mean if people wanna wait 1 or 2 years more to play Gta6 on PC I get it. But it will be released on consoles first+ this is the most powerful out there yet. Ps5pro would make so much sense with more exclusive games coming to it though now it's only Gta6.
Consoles are traditionally heavily subsidized. This mid-gen refresh happens to not be subsidized. Trust me the PS6 will be subsidized just like the PS5 and Xbox Series X were in 2020. That $399US disc-less PS5 was a steal during the height of the GPU crypto-mining craze.
PCs objectively have a higher ceiling in terms of performance and flexibility. The thing that a lot of “just get a PC” advocates don’t understand is some people aren’t tech savvy and just don’t want to go through the hassle of building a PC. They just want to buy a good tv, buy a console, and plug and play
Also, I just did a PC build with an RX 7700XT, Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 Gigs DDR4, 1TB m.2 SSD and a Phanteks XT Pro Ultra Satin Black case for 800€. Same price as the base PS5 Pro. Yet, Sony fanboys will still claim that you cant build a similar PC for the same price...
PC All day long the price of games are cheaper and a bigger library too so in the long run its MUCH better value, not to mention no need for PS Plus for playing game online thats another saving.
@@bobbywrtm That's literally the biggest thing that annoys me on PS5. I don't care to game online, but not having cloud saves when Steam provide it for free is frustrating.
Smart. I mean, I really should have included a BT USB adapter in the cheaper version, (seeing as you're probably gonna want it for certain wireless controllers - but they're also ridiculously cheap these days anyway) but yes... Smart. Good point.
I'd rather be stuck with my PC that has a 3060Ti than a PS5 Pro, Steam is just so versatile and when I want to use a Dual Sense or any other gamepad I can use them, hell I can use a neGcon if I want =) if Sony released a good handheld that was much smaller than a Steam deck and its competitors that played PlayStations back catalogue upscaled up to PS3 I'd be keen for that, I like Sony products and Design still, but their best work was in the past. (Other than the Dual Sense I love that thing!)
This is an excellent build for a first time PC Gamer! It's really crazy when I see so many people saying that you need a $2,500+ gaming pc when that is simply untrue. Nobody starting off into pc gaming needs a NASA computer. Those 4090's are not the standard when it comes to PC gaming, because those are flagship products for professionals who are either making new games using blender, doings other very heavy workloads. Or, are for those with 240Hz OLED gaming pc monitors that can cost easily 2 PS5 Pros combined. Excellent PC gaming monitors are incredibly expensive, and most people do not even think about the display. What I typically recommend is to build a pc around your current OLED TV. Play your games just like you did with your current PS5, by hooking up a pc. My LG C1 OLED TV caps out at 120Hz, so all I'll ever get to see is 120fps, which I am totally happy with. I've been a console gamer for over 30+ years, so go from 30 fps to 120 just blew my mind. I purchased my first ever gaming pc last year from BestBuy that was about $2,500, but during the Black Friday sales it was only $1,500, and I am loving it! The experience is light years better than I ever expected. It's a massive jump in frame rate performance and the visual fidelity that I highly recommend that everyone checks out. My favorite part about pc gaming so far, are the all about the mods. The modding community are absolutely awesome, who provide some of the coolest additions to some of your favorite games. Modders are improving games that are already masterpieces and it is spectacular! I check out mods all the time on NexusMods and am hooked. If there is someone out there who is reading this, who is still on the fence as to why exactly you should upgrade to a gaming pc, then I would tell you that you should be upgrading for the mods. I'm telling you, once you get your gaming pc and install some mods, you are going to freak out! When you game on a console for as long as me, the only type console like modding that I can think of was way back on my Sega Genesis using a Game Genie. LOL! The only other modern mods in console gaming that I can think of was when Fallout 4 launched. Other than that, you've got no options to do with these current consoles. NexusMods has just incredible stuff, and it is truly so transformative to your games. It is so much fun! I was just playing Baldur's Gate 3 recently with some mods that aren't exactly safe for work, wink wink. This is what I'm talking about! 🤣 It is crazy what you can do with mods today, and I truly believe that mods are the future of pc gaming. If the mods are this good, then it's only going to get better. I'm just smiling thinking about this stuff. It is no joke a friggen blast to fart around with these mods in games. This comment went a bit longer than expected. Anyways, that's my 2 cents. Save your money and put it towards a gaming pc. You will not be disappointed. Again, a great choice for a first time pc build! Have a good one, Blunty - Cheers!🍻
Hey Blunty , long time fan here. I just wanted to point out a few things. The pro has a 2TB SSD and also this is a great video. My current PC oldest part is a 3070ti but if I want decent RT which the pro is alluding to I would want to wait and get a 5070 perhaps even a 5080 but the issue with those would be unless it’s a founders edition it’s gonna be a lot more expensive over here. It’s a weird time to buy GPUs as both are outdated. After a year or so the cost of building a similar spec as the pro will be reduced by a good margin. In short I’m waiting for Nintendo new console as the pro needs to prove itself first
Eh I wouldn't expect much from the pro's RT performance since it uses radeon which is miles apart in RT performance compared to nvidia. I expect RT performance between the rtx 3000 and rtx 4000 for the ps5 pro.
Not that I'm going to cause I don't see the point of it, but if I had to pick one it would be ps5 pro. I live on an Island in the Caribbean and I don't really have local options to buy and build a pc comparable to what you listed so amazon is my best option. I looked up and matched up as all components as closely as possible and to get that same pc here it would cost me $1444.88 USD from its original $876.56 and the PS5 Pro would cost $1153.85 instead of $700. Those are the prices after shipping, import and taxes. So for me here at least the ps5 pro would still be cheaper, not that it matters really, I just thought it would be fun to compare for myself. But that's honestly not the reason why I would pick the ps5 pro over a pc. For me the main reason is simple, I live on an Island (Curacao) which is not supported by Steam, Epic, GOG, or Xbox Gamepass. I can't buy games digitally from their stores nor can I sign up for subscriptions for online play. The only way for me to play games on pc is to buy and import physical copies at almost double the price and on top of that it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to get the game in my hands from its purchase date. Sony and Nintendo are the only 2 options I have for subscriptions to play online and that let me buy digital from their stores saving me both time and money compared to buying physical. So yeah, the ps5 pro would be my pick, but with that price tag I'll stick to my base ps5 thank you very much. These are the parts I looked up on amazon by the way. I think aside from the pc case and ssd everything else is pretty much the same. huh, u got internet right ? Just set up a Vpn and u can play/download games, done. Should work for atleast 80% of stuff. Also with that tax price etc, if someone visits you with a plane, just let them bring a gaming-laptop with them, still cheaper then all that taxes bs there^^
@@Shadowclaw25 I do actually use a VPN, nordvpn to be precise, but the problem with gamepass is that even with a digital top up card it still requires a valid US credit card in this case to be able to sign up for their service. I did use a vpn and digital cards with steam until they banned my account for that very reason. As for the gaming laptop, I don't need it, I already have a good pc, I just wanted to make my own comparison as a reply to this video for fun. I do appreciate the suggestions though.
for $750(which is roughly the price of a PS5 pro + stand)you can build a PC with a 6750XT + ryzen 5 5600x, this PC can pretty much play any game at 1440p with optimized settings and get 60 fps
Loved all the Playstations and have even enjoyed my PS5. However the PS5 just feels like there's not much on offer I can't get on PC (LOVED Astro Bot but that's what, the 5th exclusive? LOL). My has been wibbly to say the least in terms of it even working so I was looking forward to trading it in for a Pro model. NOT AT THE COST OF MY FIRST BORN however 😂Glad my gaming PC can cover me when my PS5 fails me. Just kinda rambling in a comment for the algorithm. HI BLUNTY ❤ Edit: it IS nice with the Pro that people can have things LOOK amazing while also getting 60fps though. That I do like. I NEVER go for looks over a butter smooth frame rate. Astro Bot was a NICE surprise, it looks and runs amazing!
Yeah I keep hearing Astro Bot is superb... can't justify the $110 AUD asking price for it right now, So I've not played. Did LOVE the tech-demo thing they had with it at PS5 launch though. very adorable.
@@BluntyTV FAIR, there were something like 7 or 8 games coming this month that looked interesting and it was a bit overwhelming so Astro Bot won 😂 This year has been insane for releases and I've just stopped trying to keep up. I feel that, 3 months into my unemployment...I'm currently just trying to muster up the energy to get some projects done that way once I DO get back to work it doesn't take up as much "brain RAM" AS I call it. 😂 I do hope your situation gets better though 💜. OH Astro's Playroom was SUPER fun! Astro Bot is more of that same ingenuity and charm! Kismet seeing that release on Concord's death day.
honest to god it makes sense to go over budget for a gaming PC because the gaming PC is more useful compared to a ps5 pro. ps5 pro is also marketed to people 10 years and up (not financially independent) and a gaming PC is marketed for people 20 years and up (As that demographic is typically more financially independent at that age)
to be fair the ps5 AND ps5 pro should in theory be able to do 120 fps in all games with ease, its just that devs need to listen to the gamers that we rather play at 60/120 fps than 30, like i dont even touch games that are 30 cause it gives me an headache to view.
but idk, its a tough choice depending on what you as the player want. couch gaming on the tv or sitting on a chair and gaming, being able to play almost any game and mod whatever you want or that everything just works right out of the box. everything has pros and cons.
Sadly engines like UE5 are extremely inefficient which is causing problems for the consoles, heck its causing problems for top-end PCs. Modern game development is focused on ease for developers and thus cost reductions, not efficiency of utilising the hardware.
I have gone pc well Rog Ally with a 3080 and get the best of both worlds for on the go and at home TV playing. Personally I don't see myself going back to consoles. Yes the PS has some exclusives but most I want end up coming and I see more and more coming over the years.
There is a PC on FB market near me that has an 11700k and a 4070 for $800 CAD (CAD and AUS are about the same, $600 USD). PC parts are cheaper than ever and since ryzen 5 and 12th gen intel as well as 30 series nVIDIA GPUs launched.
4:38 - Heh, that's the RAM I have in my PC right now. Gotta agree that you can't go wrong with it. And that is a nice price indeed. I've used several Corsair power supplies too, at home and at work, can't go wrong there either. Isn't 1920 x 1080 still the most common resolution for PC gamers right now? I certainly think that 2560 x 1440 SHOULD be the most common by now, though. My choice... I already have a gaming PC, and a PS5 I barely use because it has almost no games (Astro Bot just came out so I'm finally playing PS5, I'm shocked Sony couldn't let that high ride for a whole week before souring everyone's mood with the Pro reveal). I was thinking about selling the PS5 before they announced Astro Bot, and if that game comes to PC I might still do so. So all that said, why on earth would I want a PS5 Pro? I'll keep the 780 Biden Bucks (I included the disc drive since I'd need one to use any of my existing games), maybe put it towards an upgrade to a 9800X3D and mobo and RAM instead if that CPU doesn't suck like the rest of Ryzen 9000 has for gaming. I guess that's not the question though? It's hard to say, I'm already a PC gamer so I'm biased. It's easy to say "I'd get the PC" but would I if I wasn't already a PC gamer? If I had a bigger library of third party PS4 and PS5 games instead of having them on PC? I dunno. But I'm certain the PS5 Pro would still be a definitive no given the state of the PlayStation 5. I thought Ratchet and Clank looked and played fantastically in the uncapped framerate, 1440p, ray tracing off mode and I'm not busting at the seams to spend $780 to get some reflections on top of that. Astro Bot would be more improved by a patch to fix up the HDR colors than it would be by anything the PS5 Pro would do to it. All my PS4 games that had free patches (I ain't spending $10 on any of them) are also just fine on the base PS5. Even in the scenario where I'm a PlayStation gamer instead of a PC gamer, I still don't know what I'd do with the PS5 Pro. PS5 Pro might be the best place to play GTA VI? Meh. I'll wait for the PC version. PlayStation 5 needs games, not a mid-gen refresh.
"1920 x 1080 still the most common resolution for PC gamers right now?" Technically yes... the latest steam survey reports "Primary Display Resolution 1920 x 1080 with 56.11% of users (which is always falling these days) - BUT you have to remember Steam Survey also captures a butload of shitty internet cafe crap which skew the results - if you look at anecdotal stuff, what people are talking about, actual gamers who run their own rigs, what GPU's they're buying, which monitors are the best selling, it's OVERWHELMINGLY 1440p, and has been for a little while now - in any case, it's ABSOLUTELY the most desired target for new owners, upgraders, and new builds... which is kinda the point here.
I will wait for 16 gb VRAM to be affordable. Just like getting midrange 2016 Nvidia Pascal 10-series with 4gb-6gb VRAM. PS4 with 2013 hardware when average midrange pc graphic had 2gb vram. PS4
Wait, define affordable. Because AMD cards generally have more VRAM than Nvidia, so if you want 16GB you should try looking at them. You can get 16GB VRAM in a 7600 XT, which is around $320 If you want even cheaper and don't mind used, I'm sure you can find an even lower price on a last gen 6000 series card.
Consoles typically are loss leaders for the games that run on them. Eliminate the price discount and consoles would have to more directly compete with PCs. I'd sooner get a new PC myself, possibly with a Linux OS. A Switch or Steam Deck are also better propositions to me than the PS5 Pro.
ive always rated a console on what it offers other than graphics PS3 was the last great playstation console on that merit, backwards compatible to its previous gen, alternate operating systems, built in hard drive, remote play media server and so many other features PS4 removed so much in fears of being hacked and still got hacked and ps5 also removed so many features all to avoid being hacked and still got hacked $1200 would still get you a great pc... gpu might suffer but hell honestly id go the pc route. not going to lie Ive been playing around with single board computer with an intel n100 cpu and im shocked ive been able to get nintendo switch running on it at 30fps 3d printed a mini gamecube case and ive had more fun playing games on the n100 than my gaming pc lol
The sad part is PS5 offers a lot, but there's only really Astro Bot utilising it. The controller features can be quite transformative, even just having sound coming out of it makes games more immersive.
Ok but what about the elephant in the room, you've already got a gaming pc but could upgrade it, much the same as if you already have a ps5, you could much the same as sell/trade your pc components/ps5 and use what you get to buy the ps5 pro/pc components, now you have more options open to you, a 2tb nvme gen 4 ssd and a much more beefy gpu, the biggest limiting factor is making sure the psu can deal with any extra power requirements so that could impact what you look at but if you have lets say a 750 watt psu you could go for an rtx 4070 or an rx 7900xt/gre, the biggest problem for ps5 gamers is if they have a collection of backwards compatible ps4 physical copies or physical copies of ps5 games thet will require the separate blu ray drive, lastly the ps5 pro does not include a stand so thats also something that potentially has to be bought bringing the pro's price higher. Now all that's out of the way ill move on to the other elephant, game prices and cost to play online, pc currently does not have any additional costs to play online, steam sales and websites like cdkeys/g2a you can get the latest games significantly cheaper than how much they cost on steam, epic store ect and licence keys for windows 11 $34.95 AUD for example. Then there is the preowned pc components where although more risky than buying new you could save even more money getting even more powerful hardware. For me personally ive got a 5800x3d and a 6800, rt performance isn't great but frame rate is a bigger priority so afmf and a few tweaked settings that get the best visuals/frame rate at a targeted resolution, mainly 2560x1440, i could sell my 6800 and get an rx7900xt or wait to see what nvidia has with their rtx 5000 series cards or next year with AMD's 8000 series, im not looking for enthusiast grade (5090/5080) but anything around the xx70/xx60 and hopefully AMD at least tries to do an equivalent x900/x800 with the cavite *their not releasing a card to compete with the 5090*, anyway great video.
@@BluntyTV Agreed but it’s new in the console space whilst nowhere near the power of my pc games will be optimized better than my pc,so pick up and play will be better I’m hyped for release.
Sony fanboys still spread the lie that a PC on par with the PS5 Pro would cost a fortune, lol. I mean, if you prefer console and dont want to get a PC, fine. But stop spreading made up lies about PCs.
I amlucky enough to be able to have nice gaming pc and the consoles. My PC kinda low by todayu standard but stil playes everything I want, mostly at 4K max settings. 9600K intel with 6 cores no hyper thread, and 3060TI, 48 GB ram. Runs great.
Cores arent everything, the ps5 might have the edge on core count but it has half the L3 cache of the r5 5600 (16mb L3 cache for the ps5/pro while r5 5600 has 32mb), we do know that larger L3 cache has a big impact for gaming, that's the selling point of the ryzen X3D chips. Also the ps5/pro runs on a lower clockspeed, if we're going apples to apples, the ps5/pro has a cpu similar to a ryzen 5 3600 performance wise.
Guys please switch to pc i just sold my ps4 and ps5 to get rtx 4060ti and ryzen 5700xd i can play 120fps all games Dlss high-ultra settings Playstation exclusives are now coming to pc there is no way to play 30fps in a powerful console !! really shame on Sony and xbox please guys stop supporting corrupted companies
I know it sounds crazy for one game, but odds are Astro Bot wont come to PC because its using features that require DualSense controllers. Even if you have one, on PC those features only work when connected via USB. Using motion controls while connected by USB is just not a good experience, selling a game that requires a specific controller is also not likely to fly for PC gamers.
@@ben-r5y The PS5 Pro costs 1200 australian dollars, the 4060 in the video around 450. As that's the only real upgrade in the PS5 Pro you'd effectively pay almost three times the market price for that performance if you already own a PS5. And even if that PS5 Pro was your first console, an equivalent PC wouldn't only cost the same but also lets you do more than play games for a couple years - and PC games are cheaper and don't require PS+. The 4060 isn't bad by itself, but the PS5 Pro is a bad deal in every way.
PC it's just a no brainer now. I get a PC I can play Xbox games at launch. PlayStation exclusives might have to wait a bit but not a deal breaker to me. Yeah consoles seem pointless now. Physical media being the biggest reason I bought consoles and this one is the digital. You can buy a disk drive but that's 80$ USD anyway extra. So 780$ American plus 30$ for the stand so really 810$ before tax American dollar once again. I just don't see a console being worth that much it's not going to touch a good mid range PC anyway. That's just bad decisions to make.
Consoles died to me when the ps4 launched. even though the ps3 was expensive af, at least that one made sense. you can install linux on it, play all backwards compatible games of previous platforms out of the box, and it had a motherfucking blueray player too! it was insane to say the least. since the ps4 forced me online play with ps plus, i just sold it and bought a computer with extra money. havent regretted that desicion and still running a 1080 ti with 64 gigs of ram and a ryzen 5. tbh if you can use a smart phone, you can definetely use a computer to play games :v
Can I playe Wolveringe, Spiderman 3, God of War 3, day 1, on my PC, in high quality mode, with my physical discs that I bught the games on that I can resell? No, I cannot. An dif u lok at the cost of a good video card for pc, 500$ and up, the price is still fair for the hardware. That dfoes not mean it is a great vcalue or is worth it, that up to individual. People that love the PS5 gaming that have cash tron burn, why not have this to exist for them. Nothing wrong with it. And I am sure Sony knows this, thjey have no delusion that half their audience is going to upgrade, this is just another more rich alternative. Is ferrari too expensive? Yes it is, for most. but it is there fo rthose that wannt it. The no disc drive is not excusable though. Sony owns the bluray format, no license fee, a dirve costs them probably 20 bucks per unit OR LESSm, this is a scam ripoff part of the deal. I am looing at the pro to, gonna wait on reviews. I could selll my old PS5 500 canada dollars and get pro for $1050 cnada dollars, all in 500 ish for upgrade. My 3060Ti was $650 for just the card and not the whole pc, for example.
I almost didn't click like when I watched the video... Not because it wasn't great! t was! But because the count was at 69 when I watched it! ;) Anyway, Sony have totally lost their minds it seems. First they screw over players AND devs alike with the Helldivers 2 debacle, but now they pretty much just give Nintendo and Microsoft the gaming market moving forwards... Dumbasses.
$80 a year double paying for internet, minimum $70 a game, avg 3 a year. You have to have a cracked skull to think that's the better deal.
and remembers, to access BASIC FEATURE like CLOUD SAVE, you need to pay that 80$ service,
meanwhile cloud save on Steam is FREAKING FREE LOL
Total cost for ps5 pro is 1300 with no game and psnow.

Really not the point though is it, PC always has those advantages over consoles, that's not the market the PS5 and especially the PS5 Pro is for.
Don't forget all the non-gaming things you can do on a PC too
and you don't have to pay for a monthly subscription just to play your games that you already bought online
I'm not a huge fan of these types of budget PCs, I often find if you're not willing to shell out north of $1500 (US) you're usually better off with the console counterpart if the device is meant specifically for gaming.
Also, a couple of things with these budget builds:
- You still need to consider a good Keyboard and Mouse solution, and potentially if it's a console migrating user, a solid controller.
For them to give more, even if only a little bit more, would have to make for a price increase, especially while they have no direct competition since Xbox is basically dead beside the few hardcore fans
The ONLY thing making pc vs console a conversation that most pc fans hated was the fact that consoles are targeted to casual consumers, and it's ONLY possible because they don't make money on the console.
Less than people pay for PSN Online 😅
Now i upgraded case, mainboard, psu, ram 32gb ddr5 6000 and CPU to AMD 7800x3D for 900€, which will probably also last that long.
Yeah the pc releases have been so high quality. That why I haven’t upgrade for my 2080ti. All new game suck anyways.
I mean if people wanna wait 1 or 2 years more to play Gta6 on PC I get it. But it will be released on consoles first+ this is the most powerful out there yet. Ps5pro would make so much sense with more exclusive games coming to it though now it's only Gta6.
nah you aint gamer
The PS5 Pro did confirm to me that the ‘enthusiast’ is the person willing to spend a lot of money for a slightly better experience.
4070, 4070 super, 4070 ti, 4070 ti super
Also, I just did a PC build with an RX 7700XT, Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 Gigs DDR4, 1TB m.2 SSD and a Phanteks XT Pro Ultra Satin Black case for 800€. Same price as the base PS5 Pro. Yet, Sony fanboys will still claim that you cant build a similar PC for the same price...
Day 1 for me disk drive secured
PC All day long the price of games are cheaper and a bigger library too so in the long run its MUCH better value, not to mention no need for PS Plus for playing game online thats another saving.
and free cloud saves on Steam LOL
@@bobbywrtm That's literally the biggest thing that annoys me on PS5. I don't care to game online, but not having cloud saves when Steam provide it for free is frustrating.
I would go WIFI for the Bluetooth that normally comes bundled.
Smart. I mean, I really should have included a BT USB adapter in the cheaper version, (seeing as you're probably gonna want it for certain wireless controllers - but they're also ridiculously cheap these days anyway) but yes... Smart. Good point.
I'd rather be stuck with my PC that has a 3060Ti than a PS5 Pro, Steam is just so versatile and when I want to use a Dual Sense or any other gamepad I can use them, hell I can use a neGcon if I want =)
if Sony released a good handheld that was much smaller than a Steam deck and its competitors that played PlayStations back catalogue upscaled up to PS3 I'd be keen for that, I like Sony products and Design still, but their best work was in the past.
(Other than the Dual Sense I love that thing!)
Same i also got 3060 ti
I also have a 3060ti
Have a good one, Blunty
- Cheers!🍻
@@Benri05 It uses RDNA4 which supposedly has a lot more RT acceleration, we don't have a point of reference for that yet.

As for the gaming laptop, I don't need it, I already have a good pc, I just wanted to make my own comparison as a reply to this video for fun. I do appreciate the suggestions though.
I'm sticking with PC period! Hell for my living room setup I will build a itx console PC with a 4090 sorry consoles your done in my life.

for $750(which is roughly the price of a PS5 pro + stand)you can build a PC with a 6750XT + ryzen 5 5600x, this PC can pretty much play any game at 1440p with optimized settings and get 60 fps
HI BLUNTY ❤
Edit: it IS nice with the Pro that people can have things LOOK amazing while also getting 60fps though.
Can that PC emulate ps3 games? If so....I'm sold.
Yep, PS1, PS2, PS3, not all PS4, switch, ... Lots of emulators available
PC can emulate anything it's a do it all machine
to be fair the ps5 AND ps5 pro should in theory be able to do 120 fps in all games with ease, its just that devs need to listen to the gamers that we rather play at 60/120 fps than 30, like i dont even touch games that are 30 cause it gives me an headache to view.
but idk, its a tough choice depending on what you as the player want. couch gaming on the tv or sitting on a chair and gaming, being able to play almost any game and mod whatever you want or that everything just works right out of the box.
everything has pros and cons.
Sadly engines like UE5 are extremely inefficient which is causing problems for the consoles, heck its causing problems for top-end PCs.
Modern game development is focused on ease for developers and thus cost reductions, not efficiency of utilising the hardware.
steamdeck 64gb lcd ver gaming pc handheld + 2tb gen4 m.2 2280 ssd upgrade + usb4 hub/usb c dock + mechanical keyboard + pc mice + portable monitor
I wouldn't have factored in the OS price at all since you can just buy a windows 10 key for like $5 and it'll work with 11 still.
I'll buy ps5 pro day one,
Me too
I just want the $2500 5090 to come out so I can buy a new pc
I'm very happy with my launch PS5 disc edition I'll definitely be keeping it and sticking with it screw the digital Pro
You can get 16GB VRAM in a 7600 XT, which is around $320
If you want even cheaper and don't mind used, I'm sure you can find an even lower price on a last gen 6000 series card.
arc a770 has 16g vram
Consoles typically are loss leaders for the games that run on them. Eliminate the price discount and consoles would have to more directly compete with PCs. I'd sooner get a new PC myself, possibly with a Linux OS. A Switch or Steam Deck are also better propositions to me than the PS5 Pro.
ive always rated a console on what it offers other than graphics
PS3 was the last great playstation console on that merit, backwards compatible to its previous gen, alternate operating systems, built in hard drive, remote play media server and so many other features
PS4 removed so much in fears of being hacked and still got hacked and ps5 also removed so many features all to avoid being hacked and still got hacked
$1200 would still get you a great pc... gpu might suffer but hell honestly id go the pc route. not going to lie Ive been playing around with single board computer with an intel n100 cpu and im shocked ive been able to get nintendo switch running on it at 30fps 3d printed a mini gamecube case and ive had more fun playing games on the n100 than my gaming pc lol
The sad part is PS5 offers a lot, but there's only really Astro Bot utilising it. The controller features can be quite transformative, even just having sound coming out of it makes games more immersive.
Yeah, you can make a really nice system for that money SONY is asking ;!
... :!
But probably not as powerful a GPU, we have to see what developers are actually doing first to make that judgement.
The ps5 library itself does not justify the price.
Even if you should put a bit more to get a more powerful PC, it would be far more beneficial.
I already have a pc with a 4080 but still buying a ps5 pro im a sucker for new tech
The ps5 pro is not "new tech" - the CPU/GPU engineering in use, is architecture PC's have had for at least two years or more now.
@@BluntyTV Agreed but it’s new in the console space whilst nowhere near the power of my pc games will be optimized better than my pc,so pick up and play will be better I’m hyped for release.

I prefer console but if my only choice for console is playstation is go with pc every time..
If im rich i buy both but if can only choose 1… pc hands down. (Xbox gamer)
Sony fanboys still spread the lie that a PC on par with the PS5 Pro would cost a fortune, lol. I mean, if you prefer console and dont want to get a PC, fine. But stop spreading made up lies about PCs.
Upcoming rtx 5060 will be much better option than the pro
I amlucky enough to be able to have nice gaming pc and the consoles. My PC kinda low by todayu standard but stil playes everything I want, mostly at 4K max settings. 9600K intel with 6 cores no hyper thread, and 3060TI, 48 GB ram. Runs great.
4k max settings with a 3060 ti? How many frames are you getting?
1 is upgradeable with swappable compotents.
the other is a wifi router with adidas stripes on the side
no brainer really.
PC. Period.
I was thiking that was a a 4070 performance.
But the cpu is an 8 core though
5600 6c12t wil run ring around the ps5/Ps5 Pro 8c16t as it is a would generation newer and amd had bigg gain over ryzen second gen.
@@Benri05 Indeed, people forget that consoles are also built to a power and thermal limit that PCs are not which more than offsets the difference.
i already have a 4070s rig. i am concerned about whether ps5pro is able to surpass it, if it does i would be sad honestly, i just bought it recently.
Probably not as the PS5 Pro will still be CPU limited, so you have the option to have better frame rates.
Guys please switch to pc
i just sold my ps4 and ps5 to get rtx 4060ti and ryzen 5700xd i can play 120fps all games
Dlss high-ultra settings
Playstation exclusives are now coming to pc
there is no way to play 30fps in a powerful console !! really shame on Sony and xbox
please guys stop supporting corrupted companies
I know it sounds crazy for one game, but odds are Astro Bot wont come to PC because its using features that require DualSense controllers. Even if you have one, on PC those features only work when connected via USB. Using motion controls while connected by USB is just not a good experience, selling a game that requires a specific controller is also not likely to fly for PC gamers.
Noooo, it's only comparable to a bloody 4060?
A forty bloody sixty?!
Is that bad?
@@ben-r5y is that bad , you must be console user to ask this
@@Gandhi13k yeah which is why I’m asking the question bruh
@@Gandhi13k that’s why he’s asking lol.
Can the ps5 pro do 240hz 240fps tho??! 😅
Nah... Only 40 fps! XD
PC
Not even a debate pc by far the ps5 pro is a scam
I'll go with sony easy to use turn on dun play..
Hey look, the bushes look clearer. Come on, give us your 1200 dollars
Dumbasses.
BOOM! 1st 30 seconds in
[*squint*] Stalker.
I'd rather get a PS5 pro.
Cool. Why?
Great thoughts must be nice to have more money than brains lol
This is Sony talking 😂
Hahaha 😂 common sense is not common obviously 😂
Save yourself the money and wait for the PS6 in 2-3 years at least
PC is always the way to go. Modern consoles are a joke and a waste of money.
