Troian Bellisario: Perfection on too many levels
i love your name
I absolutely love and admire Jennifer Beals. As a child I remember watching Flashdance in the theatre and was more entranced that a woman was a welder than the dancer aspect. As a young lesbian I was enamored with her portrayal of Bette Porter on TLW as my own relationship with my partner unfolded in many of the same ways as Bette & Tina's did. Not only did she completely kick ass in that role, she became an advocate for LGBT rights. Ms. Beals, you are an inspiration!
This whole series opened up my eyes. I was shocked to learn about the large number of sexual assaults of young women in the army, and mad when such a large percentage go unreported or the rapists aren't brought to justice because of rank. It shows a new, corrupt side of the army I never considered before. I am proud to see stars like Troian and Jennifer sticking up for this issue and proud of them for getting the word out and spreading awareness of sexual assaults in the army! You go girls!
Jennifer Beals is so eloquent and articulate. I could listen to her speak forever.

This is a great concept !!!! You should do more "conversation" like this, This is so interesting to know what the actors think and go through while playing a tough role ! I love Troian so much and Jennifer and her make a great team !

As difficult and heart-wrenching as it was to watch season 1, I'm really looking forward to season 2. It was the best WIGS storyline, in my opinion...really excellent.
Thank you WIGS and those who took on this difficult subject. You have helped me to be braver after I was raped 38 years ago. People would think after all this time I would just "get over it". It is like a bit of a death. There is always a small hole in your heart, somedays things make it bigger and other days it can get smaller but it never goes away. When she spoke to us in Wash DC the hole got a little smaller for me. I became proud of my past. This will help me be a better advocate.

The whole story line of Lauren is so profound. Being in this scenario myself, this series is both horrible and amazing to me. Between this series and the Invisible War, something that has been kept so hush hush is now being talked about.

I first watched it when I'm still obsessed with Troian, idk maybe 2015 or something, my teen days, now I'm gonna rewatch it for Jennifer Beals (obv I'm obsessed with her rn) eventhough it was really hard watching it, given the theme and how graphic the show was. This show is really powerful in lot of ways.
although a sad and hard issue, my my my. those 2 smiles made my day :D

I agree. Season 2 needs some kind of upbeat ending, even if Lauren doesn't get justice, there at least needs to be some sign that someone will benefit from Lauren's story.

I'm not trolling - I actually want to know - what are some of the problems that you see with uniform? Are screen portrayals of military uniforms allowed to be 100% accurate? Also, maybe they aren't 100% accurate in this video because they aren't filming the scripted show - this is an informal interview? Thank you for your service.
What interesting to me is that race was not discussed in this series at all. How they may have factored in their decision as well.
Sometimes when you love somebody or something ( army) you have to come through your loved object's punishment in order to correct and improve it. I guess JB's character major Stone is on a completely wrong way if she has decided to keep back the fact of rape. Stone only aggravates the crime as any disease without medicall treatment..
