About "Lauren" Season 2:

Troian is SUCH a talented actress, the amount of emotion conveyed through her character is just phenomenal.
This is an amazing series. The acting is so good, especially Jennifer and Troian.

Thank you. The VA can be a major source of stress in itself. I have found that just talking with PTSD sufferers many times helps. It is the families that treat the subject as "taboo"...that suffer even more. Give you father a hug and tell him "welcome home" from a fellow brother-in-arms
I got to meet Jennifer Beals very well spoken. She spoke at a mst summit. Im a single mother I served 10 yrs in the military.i had my son after being in 2 yrs i could have gotten out but desided i wouldnt not. deployed and was raped sexual harassed assaulated and stalked by soldiers. My life was ruined I will never ever be the person who i prior to that. I will speak for MST survivors

I never really paid much attention to Troian Bellasario before watching Lauren. She is super talented. Looking forward to watching her in all her future endeavors. Like season 3!
I just hope everyone watching this understands that not all of us come home with PTSD. Although thousands do have issues...and they are very REAL issues........most of us come thru ok.
I was thinking about that too, but than again, Lauren's dad, grand father and great grandfather were in the Army. Maybe it was instilled to her that protecting the country will be the better course for the child because than the parent is a hero. The parent will always be a hero, just like Mitch is now to her daughter.
My dad has PTSD, he won't talk about it. He's trying to get help but he's doing rounds with the VA.
I am glad that you and many others, come home ok. Because watching my dad go through what he's going through is horrible. Thank you for your service.
Powerful show with subject matter that so needs to be dealt with. And I'm crying too.
I really hope Wigs brings Lauren back for season 3, there was so much left unresolved, the acting is the best I have ever seen. It would be disapointing if the serious were to end just like that.
Absolutely! Although I think Troian should do more acting parts like this, deeper characters, PLL totally deserves an actress like her, believe I mean it, I'm addicted to PLL ;)
Groin has gained so much maturity with filming this. I have appreciated her in PLL but wow, someone get this girl an award!

i'm SO glad i went reserve instead of active duty. must suck for someone who wanted to stay in the army until retirement but get kicked out early for stupid reasons.

I find her role as Spencer also pretty good, she's a good actress and also in PLL she really grows on you. The part when she was a mental patient was just amazing. But this is more of a "grown up" role (though I find her role as Spencer also the most grown up of those girls and probably one of few reason I keep watching the show as being a grown up myself) and she's juat shining. I hope we can see her in many more beautiful and challenging roles after PLL.

That's very true. . .and it was what she grew up with knowing as normal. Though, she still had her mother to raise her when her father was away, but then again, it sounds like Lauren was the only one that got into the military between she and her brother. . .maybe she felt she had to keep the tradition going. I have a lot of respect for women that do that, but also feel sad for them and their children as well.

Definitely. But Troian is a perfect Spencer too! Her in her mental state on PLL was one of the best Spencer acts we've seen in awhile. No one else could pull off the role as well as she can. We need her as Spence!

Yup. "found in a closet", "note", the fact that the survivors won't directly say the word "suicide"...all signs of a suicide.
well of course she is!!....she's on a whole different level of acting here...its VERRRRYYYY different from being harassed by a text message on PLL.....LOL!
That's only because this is an emotional show. PLL doesn't need this emotion. It's a teen show with mystery, romance, high school...it's not serious like this is. The other girls are good actresses too, but Troian is the best actress of the 4 of them. I still love Spencer and she did really well when Spencer went "crazy."
Well she did say she was having nightmares. When I was little I remember asking my mom to leave the lamp on when I was having nightmares. So maybe her grandma left it on in case she woke up - didn't want her to be scared when she woke up in a different place than she fell asleep in and in the dark :/

ill share, as a victim of sexual assault not in the army but it feels bad.. he said she said in my case and i was bipolar. but it never stopped the man from attacking me. it was quietly deal with where i got therapy. but i never forgot how they let the man go..or rather he took off...how i felt everyone was against me. and i still have nightmares.i live a mostly peaceful life but i know that fear is still there once in a while.. even after 19 yrs.

I'm wondering the same thing. Maybe Lauren's mom only knows about the psych eval, because in the next episode, it's clear that Lauren's brother Steve doesn't know about the rape. Maybe this means that no one in the family knows.

I know they have to worry about time and what they did here was okay, but without the big "Mommy, you're home!" the story seriously loses something.

There's one thing I can't get out of my mind as I watch this series, and that's that the little daughter's both parents were in the military, and one was killed. She only has her mother left. I don't know, but I feel that at least for the child's sake, the remaining parent should have to back and be with their child. What about the trauma on the child in all of this?

I disagree. She's amazing in this and in Pretty Little Liars. PLL is just different, but she did have her emotional breakdowns in PLL as well. This is just a different and more serious role, but PLL is just as good.
