It's a shame "Lauren" doesn't have more views! The writing and acting is on par and I actually felt emotional watching Lauren interact with her superiors. Rape is not a choice and it certainly is not an "emotive" word. I hope Lauren gets the justice she deserves
Once, being a soldier one day crossed my mind. 'Cause I thought: "Hey, at the end of the day, we all die, right? So, why not die saving lives, fighting for what's right?". And then I saw this. I thought their job or their mission was to fight for what's right. But no. Then again, soldier or not, what's right comes after WHAT'S BEST FOR OURSELVES. We may be in a modern world, but things haven't really changed that much, have they? The world is still and only made of: the powerful people and the slaves.
Congratulations, society. You deserve a standing ovation.
Those two actresses are Amazing! Intense and delicate dialogue and scene! Great Jennifer Beals and Troian Belisario! Great series
The tension, fear, braveness and courage is palpable in this scene! I love the dichotomy and chemistry of the relationship between Lauren and Stone! Phenomenal series!!!!

As soon as I saw Jennifer Beal's name attached to this project I knew it would be great. She's an incredible actress who always brings so much depth to each character that she portrays. Great acting all around, great production, directing, and writing. As a film student it's very inspiring to see these types of projects. This is my first WIGS series but it definitely won't be my last.
So realistic, so....amazing! I'm still crying. Lauren is one brave woman, I don't know what I would have done in her place. Jennifer, Troain ,and everyone else did a wonderful job!

Wow. Lauren is by far my favorite of the series, simply because it tackles such an important and controversial topic facing America. Thank you for speaking out against sexual assault and revealing the plight of so many servicewomen in a broad and approachable manner. This was so powerful.
Lauren has been the best series by far. Superb acting, intriguing plot and an incredibly well thought out and thought provoking three episodes. Great job on this one, WIGS, and major props to Jennifer and Troian as well.

simply brilliantly done on all fronts. powerful without being preachy, gripping without being soapy and surprising without being cheap. this is what drama can do at the highest level of aspiration and execution: entertain, educate and provoke. everyone involved should feel very proud, but not so proud they don't get right back down to it and make something else soon!
I hate that Lauren is over, three episodes really isn't enough. Great work from both Jennifer Beals and Troian Bellisario, Lauren has been my favourite so far.
I'm sittin here like the little soldier that I am holding my tears in just like them. I hate crying anyway, and this is good practice for holding the tears in.

This Series made me cry and I watched it over and over again because it's just sad how people don't care. How women go to the military believing they will be safe, how man disrespect and don't value women. I can see it in Lauren how strong she is and I admire her. I also admire Troian for her performance to this character
I hate how this ended, it really made me reflect on what I want to do and what I have to do and how they differ in so many cases. This series are great I wish we could see more of Lauren. After watching this though I need 4 hours of kill bill straight just to go back to my happy place, knowing nothing happens to them just eats at me.
Amazing actresses!! Jennifer Beals reminds me of Ashley Judd sometimes.. Both very underrated actresses who deserves a lot more acknowledgement for their work!
For someone with no knowledge of miltary protocol I have to say thank you WIGs for shining a light on a very traumatic event that can happen. Troian, Jennifer & Navi made this websidoe so much more compeling.

I am a MST survivor who was not given the chance to follow through with sexual assault charges against my attacker because my paperwork was "mishandled". I was forced to "embrace the suck" just as Lauren did.
Thank you for sharing this story with the world. Thank you for ending it in a truly realistic way (as sad, upsetting, and aggravating as it may be). Thank you for spreading awareness of Military Sexual Trauma.

i just bawled at the end. my gosh. troian is amazing in this and everything cannot have a happy ending. i appreciate that they respect us enough to not give us a disney ending. i hated that it had to be like this, but i understand why it was necessary.
it's not promoting that mentality, it's being honest about how these situations actually go. If that sickens you- good, it should. People need to talk about these types of issues and raise awareness of it. I think this was a fantastic series.

This is such a good series I love Troian
This is such a bitter sweet testimony of female military life. The travesty really is that Lauren should have to chose and NOT the choice in and of itself.. Thank you WIGS for bringing this story and allowing us the opportunity to reflect on our individual and collective moral compass.
I got extremely emotional watching this series.
I think you did get it and thank you for your explanation. I think it is spot on and makes more sense of her ultimate decision to put what she loves before what she thinks is right in this case. The "ending" is even more powerful this way when she opts to "embrace the suck". She is pressing on, doing what she feels she must in spite of her pain and rage, not just because of it. I hope this story will help those who have suffered this kind of treachery and injury to heal and to prevail!

You know it's an amazing series when the ending pisses you off. . . but you still want more.
I had this itching feeling that it wouldn't have a happy ending, and I kind of appreciate that, because I think these are made to connect with women who've been victimized, and not every horrible story ends with the victim standing up for his or herself, so this probably really hit home for them, and I think that's enough to get people to stand up.
That was so upsetting but completely accurate. I've known someone who has had issues like this with a commanding officer fought so hard for justice and then was forced to let it be so she didn't jeopardize her own career or have it worse.
This series is amazing. I am totally addicted to it. I started with "Blue" that's a great series too.

I hope they do, this is by far the best series.
But she is fighting. That's the point. Every single day, she will swallow her pride and keep fighting. She will look those men in the eyes, she will do as she is told and she will fight.
I loved the ending.
Lauren is the prefect soldier because she believes so firmly in her country and her honor that she sees only people who defend those same honors as her fellows and all others as her opponents.
This series is top notch! Great actors and great script!
I liked how we were able to hear Leslie's inner thoughts in the trailer, it would be kind of interesting if it was like that for the whole series of Leslie.
This was probably my favourite Wigs series, along with Blue.
I really enjoyed this. Troian did a fantastic job and it's nice to know that given all of her fame, she is still more than willing to do small projects that highlight an issue than is widely ignored. Truthfully, I never even really gave this problem a thought. Feeling for all of the military women that have experienced situations like this, exposed or not exposed. Hopefully they feel justice now that it's finally coming to light.

These women you are talking about are fighting for freedom against enemies who want to kill them. They should not have to fear the men beside them, the men that they should be able to trust with their lives. There are laws. People don't always follow them. But our soldiers are out there fighting for our country, which includes our laws. They should not be the ones breaking them.
The interesting thing is that through this series, Lauren got her "voice" and her screams are being heard. While many feel disappointed that she didn't get justice or revenge in the end, she actually DID, because this series spreads awareness and awareness brings about action and action brings about change.

As the former wife of a career AF pilot, I am stunned by this series. I had no knowledge of what was happening. I do know that my husband talked our youngest daughter out of joining the military. He had to talk long and hard and to this day she regrets she she listened to him.
Troian tweeted that there were gonna be new episodes. I can't wait. I really want justice for Lauren.

She also told Sgt. Stone that she would abide by her order and trusted her to make the right decision. So she did stick by that. I didn't expect this ending either, but knowing Wigs, they never take you where you think you are headed. They get me every time, LOL! Really am loving all the series they produce, even if the endings get me pissed sometimes......
I agree. I think most of us assumed that what she meant by "I did right (by my little girl)" was that she would always fight to make things right in order to make her daughter proud and be the best she could be for her daughter. However, perhaps a deeper meaning is that she chose to protect the daughter she loved and subsequently turned down the opportunity to gain revenge.
