Barb was so clutch the entire run, I loved all of it. Shoutout to all the runners.
That Mode 7 level was really cool to watch. Loved the end where it shrunk Mario and the small background details became platforms.

I spent so much time on levels 4 and 5 just watching reactions. The Dinos were so animated 😂
One of my favorite runs of the event. As a necrodancer fan, the final level was epic!
Did being into necrodancer make it make sense? xD Amazing race though I didn't mind being confused. Great showcase of the wild stuff the community creates and still that delightful horrible punishing skill test.

What an absolutely incredible race this was. GG to both teams, creators, and everyone involved with making this happen. This was such a wonderful showcase of what the kaizo community is capable of, both in level design and gameplay.

By far my favorite events from GDQ are the blind kaizo races. I get so emotionally invested in them.

Always my favorite part of GDQ. Brilliant play and brilliant level design as always! That fours level with the whole screen turning, zooming, stretching etc blew my mind. Amazing work!

This was easily the best run of the marathon. These levels blew my mind, the runners all showcased incredible skill, and I was jumping out of my seat in excitement throughout.
Way to go Shoujo! She was so good. Everyone did such a great job.
I've never been a fan of watching people play kaizo runs they already know, but relay races like these have proven to me that watching folks LEARN a game like this is SUPER fun to me!

Shoujo went god mode in this run. I swear she was omniscient at some points with how good her reads were.
Awesome runs by both teams, absolutely love the SMW and SMM communities, so much skill and good vibes. Both this and the SMM2 race were definitely high points of this SGDQ

This was one of the best speedruns ive ever seen in a GDQ!. It was fun all around, filled with incredible runners and the levels were unbelievable.

I clicked on this expecting a regular ol' vanilla Mario World race. But man, I wasn't prepared for this. These levels were so incredibly creative.
this race was just fantastic. it was so great to see the players live again and i also loved seeing my two favorite streamers (barb and juz) live.

One goal fakeout can be funny. Two goal fakeouts is just *cruel*, but three is back to being funny again!
As a massive CotN fan, seeing that final level using the music AND skipped beat mechanic of King Conga made me laugh so hard. Amazing!
That 5th level looks absolutely incredible. Can't imagine how much efforts and codes needed just for that level.

The Legend of One-Shot Shoujo: Part One
All amazing levels! My favorite levels: the shoe level that knocked sprites upward, and the maddy level with the gravity flips.
The relay-races are always one of my GDQ highlights. Great performances from both teams 👍
This is just fantastic, i'm so happy the event was help in person, it just gives a completely different vibe with the public. Perhaps the tech team could think of a VR option to attend this kind of events!

Juz coming in clutch with that one shot ending into the up pipe on the second level! And barb clutching it out on the next to last level was amazing.

Dang was rooting for Dino because Carl but I guess Dolphins got the good read. Great race and fun to watch. Especially enjoyed Carl freaking out in the background at times.

Definitely a highlight of the event, for me.
Time bonus per win needs to be 30 seconds (10 seconds never makes a difference), and the "handicapped" team on the final level need to close their eyes before their time starts to avoid getting any info.
