I got up Easter morning early, got all giddy to start it off with some excitement from Jeff on another awesome bow and tool, Christ has Risen and thank you dear lord Jesus for what you did at Calvary for us, no greater love. Thanks Jeff for spreading a little love to your neighbors, Amen, Happy Easter
Jeff, would you consider doing a head-to-head comparison of the Oberon and Nyx recurves? Using same draw weight, same arrows, I'd be curious how both bows chronograph. Also, what is the "uni-carbon core" found in the Oberon and how does that differ from the "3K carbon with a foam core" found in the Nyx.
"Let's shoot ole DOErene" 😂 I love your excitement in this. Great video to wake up to. I've been setting up targets in the woods behind my house. Shooting in super awkward positions, with a judo point. I'm having an absolute blast compared to shooting vertical at the same spot, every day.
Thank you for your videos. I have learned a lot from them. As i was contemplating spending $1000 or more on a custom, you proved it does not have to be expensive to be accurate.
Finally picked up the Traditional Only NYX 60" it's a great shooting smooth bow and quiet. Just need to order some fast flights from TTT and will be set. I stopped by there shop this past Tuesday since I'm on vacation. They were great.
I decided to buy my first bow a few days ago. I've decided I want to go traditional recurve style bow that way I can shoot traditionally for fun but also for survival or end of the world type situations and compound bows need tools and parts etc. I figure a one piece traditional bow that is reliable and simple is the best way to go. This one might be the one!
i love this bow. and the oberon and the sturgeon etc etc. such nice looking bows and i hear great things about all of them. i have my eye on that oberon and this one as well
I would love to hear your explanation of "The Push". I'm so focused on anchoring, body form, and the target that I wasn't aware of what the bow arm was supposed to be doing.
It certainly looks and sounds as if our beloved 3Rivers has come up with another fine recurve-like the Oberon you reviewed not long ago. I think it would be REALLY interesting if you did a side-by-side comparison of these two bows. And, just to put the icing on the cake, why not include the Sanlida Royal X8, about which you are equally enthusiastic. I'm sure that you'd find small, subtle differences-particularly in "feel"-among these three OUTSTANDING wooden recurves. If you discussed those in a comparison review, it would truly help all of us "addicted'" Jeff Phillips followers to choose among the three bows. Best, Chris (in Maine).
Hmm was thinking about getting a long bow, a Valcon, now im still going to grab one from Malta Archery, but i do like this, and love recurve. Think this summer will be spending alot of ££££ but do i care? Nope, not on something im so passionate about. Not a rich man by any means so forced to go on the lower end price range, up to 200 uk. But some brands are just amazing for the price range..not sure how much these cost, but i bet its over 200, but if so, saving a bit each month wont hurt one bit. Thankyou for showing us a really nice, and wow so quit bow.
I would love to find a 3k carbon bow in the 65# range. l cant wait to see what companies do with in the next few years with this technology. Maybe even someone start making custom bows.
😊 on one of your videos you said you switched to split finger shooting now you get this new bow on your shooting three-finger under, where is your consistency
Hey Jeff, I'm curious how you decide which arrows to shoot out of your bows? Is it a preference, or is there pros and cons to different ones. Carbon, aluminum, wood, etc.
Thank you for this review, Jeff! Your excitement about it was awesome to see and felt like I was there with you. What's the price tag on that recurve, and what's the draw weight on the one you received? Also, I hope you and your family have a happy Easter 🙏
I can’t speak directly to this bow, but I have their carbon/foam ilf limbs on a 17” riser and there is no stacking at all at 29.5”. I know its 2” shorter and doesn’t answer your question completely, but I thought I would give you my thoughts
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 this just might be my purchase for this summer. Looking for a good trad bow that I can grow into and use for a lifetime and there's a nice range 5 miles from my place to meet others and have some shoots. Looking forward to the hobby and the bow!
Hay Jeff. Question about the grips on the NYX is it beffier than the Oberon ??? According to the guys at 3 Rivers the grip is bigger on the NYX than the Oberon. Thankx John
I shoot 41# at my 27.5 in draw. I have a bunch of 125 gr stingers. Could these 2016s work for me as a hunting arrow? What length be close you think? Blessed easter jeff
Gotcha! Thanks so much for joining us! Okay a string on a traditional bow can last for quite a while unlike compound strings and cables, usually a quality string waxed good will be fine for at least three years or so depending on how much you shoot it of coarse, that’s what really determines the life span of one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice review! That wood overlay on the front doesn’t match the bow at all 🤦🏻 it’d sure be a looker if they had overlaid it with black/white like the tips appear to be
This is not traditional. There hasn't been much of a problem with the wood bows for many years. Everyone is pushing new! And improved! Jesus...does anyone think before they do??

Jeff Philps, the best traditional bow UA-cam salesman!!

I use foam core carbon limbs on my 21inch ilf riser , absolutely awesome , the speeds are phenomenal
Yes sir!
You had me at "I could feel the energy in these limbs" ... you're such a great salesman Jeff I hope they're paying you!!!
Lol no sir we have a much different relationship, no money passed at all just trust and a whole lot of product testing going on 👍🏻

Great review Jeff! Much appreciated.

Please do aside /side comparison of the this bow and the Oberon. Over the chronology also. Please!
Nice bow , God bless have a great easter
On 3D rivers archery, manufacturer recommended brace height: 8" to 8-1/2"
the thing with carbon is that it makes the bow "faster" by a little bit . but the part where carbon shines is the torsional resistance
Happy Easter 😁🥰
God Bless Y’all 🙏😇❤️🇺🇸
Ill check ✅ this out, even though i just ordered one from Great Plains Traditional!!!!
The Oberon is super sweet!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 I ordered the b model recurve red river grey!! Shane the owner is a good guy great customer service!!!

omg ITS SO QUITE also Happy easter
It’s not the bow, it’s the Indian! And Jeff is a dang good Indian
Happy Easter!! HE has Risen
Can you do some testing or talk about the gold tip blemishes for budget arrows.
Absolutely!

I 'm gon a guess between 600-700 bucks.
just found it 450.00
@timbo749 that's not bad at all. Definitely affordable!
Great video as always. Do you think this bow would stack at my 29+ draw length? Not much information out there on this bow. Thanks Jeff

That bow looks fast!
It’s quick for sure! I’m running a D97 string on it and the Navajo wool puffs now and it’s very quiet and smooth!

Yes it is slightly larger but very comfortable, I love the Oberon grip because it is very narrow 👍🏻
THANKX,,, JEFF
oberon or this one for a first 1 piece recurve

Yes sir they should be great actually! I’d probably cut them around 29”-30” to be safe but they should work fine 👍🏻
I don’t shoot. I don’t even own a bow. I don’t know why I love this channel. But I do!
It's because you want to shoot. Get a bow.
@@charlesdudley5800 you know you are right. BUT, I have too many toys!
I subscribed, asked a question about how old can a string be? If kept waxed up? never got a reply?

Hi Jeff does the NYX have a large grip it looks large
Yes its pretty big.
Where is this bow made?
With these carbon limbs how much does this bow weigh?
It’s fairly light in mass weight but perfect with a loaded quiver 👍🏻
Practice Practice Practice that's what it takes to get good...😊
for the curious, the bow cost 450.00
Master,...I have a 32-pound longbow, hybrid,....the bow is 1.70 in length,...I open at 26",...what fistmelle advise me?...thanks in advance!
They do offer them in 35# 👍🏻
How much?

I’ve decided, you 🇺🇸 are so spoiled and I’m jealous :)
Have a blessed day ✝️

I need to stop watching your videos. I cant spend any money right now. Lol...
😁👍🏻
