Bill Aliff. They are the most talented group I have ever heard. I failed to pay much

The incredible part was Steve Walsh was in a really down songwriting time. While Kerry Livgren was on fire! It was the 4th. album for Kirshner Records and their last shot as far as Kirsrhner was concerned. Wow, did it work!

and the production on that album sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Kansas thought they would be able to recreate that sound on Point of No Return, but Stevie Wonder tore up
earranged the studio in Bougalousa for his album and that was that.

I'm 70 and I remember how much I loved Kansas when their first album came out, after the first album, they were on a roll to superstardom. I have most of their albums on vinyl. I consder Kansas to be one of the all time greatest bands in history. It makes my heart happy to know that I grew up in the greatest time for music in History, and my heart swells with pride because I was lucky enough to fall in love with one of the greatest bands in history.

I saw them at Snavleys Pub in Greeley KS the first time they played as Kansas. Drove there in a blizzard. There were about 20 people... they played there because they weren't sure how they'd sound and didn't want to sound bad. But they did the first album. And their version of Smoke on the Water... Steinhart sang... Smoke on the Penis among others.

Two of the most iconic hits of the 70s and not in HOF. Are they waiting until all the original lineup has past away? I really think HOF dislikes Prog anything or is it a 70s thing. Look how long it took to get Yes and Rush in, but they have also snubbed The Guess Who and BTO, Gordan Lightfoot but their Canadians. Anyone else confused by Dolly Parton being nominated?

I'm just sad to not see Mr. Walsh do a handstand on his keyboards.

Steve Walsh didn’t get the recognition as a singer……what an amazing voice and range!

I was not a huge fan of the 35 anniversary specia.l to many original members had retired. But "Miracles out of Nowhere"was a fantastic live jam .it was loud ,plenty of reverb, and the backing instruments brought out a unbelievable tune to a crashing finish. Beautiful music

Just putting it out there....What if...Tommy Shaw was the lead vocalist of Kansas during their run? I'm dying for feed back.

Interesting. Tommy Shaw was heavily influenced by Kansas....so much so that he wrote Man in the Wilderness right after seeing Kansas perform way back when.

@@edmessina8392 Hi Ed, Thank you for your feedback. Tommy Shaw makes mention of exactly what your saying in one of his concerts. Not sure where or when, but I do recall him saying the same thing. Something about a Bowling Alley in Mobile Alabama after seeing a Kansas Concert. I'm a big time fan of both bands. Okay with Dennis De Young too. Cheers!
