As a Christian myself who struggles with homosexuality, I am so glad I’m not the only one. I did not ask to have these feelings and I’m still struggling accepting them. I feel like this is not talked about enough in the church unfortunately. I do not believe it is necessarily wrong. Thank you for this video! Hopefully I’ll find happiness like you have soon.

So what if I was a serial killer and didn't ask to be this way? But I find encouragement from others that are the same and claim they don't think it's a sin and I do try to fight or resist my temptations & lusts for it so I give in to it. I even claim to be a Christian - Christ like by defiling myself and others, when others see me they will see Christbin what I do.
Being a Christian isn't about feeling good, getting all the good blessings and enjoying the lusts of the world. It's very unglamorous to the world, it's about repentance, humility, submission, sacrafice. Being a slave to Christ, are you kidding, where is the fun in that, living holy lives unto God as He created us for? Wait, and when we get to heaven we will adore Him, honour Him, glorify Him 24/7 as the Mighty King that He is? No! claiming to be a Christian so you can enjoy your sin on earth does not work

@@larrywebster2126 Lol. What does define as a sin? Christians see other christians who are not in their denomination as sinners. Catholics believe in saints, some christian treat that as blasphemy to God. Some christian religion prohibits the eating of pork. It is what a denominations interpretation that matters. What would you feel if i told you that you are like a serial killer because of your church’s belief? Your logic is flawed.

I saw this on Twitter by @GirlGoneGambino, she posted a book that has pictures and said that you can both be gay and christian because on Ezekiel 16: 49 God destroyed the cities because the people were corrupt, rude and inhospitable, not for being gay. Also in Jeremiah 1:5 it said "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."

Well said. It's not a good idea for those against gay people to quote the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, because they only use PART of it. They forget the part where Lot offered his two daughters to the mob. They forget the part where Lot's wife got obliterated for the minor human failing of curiosity, and they forget that the daughters got him drunk so they could mount him. Why should people look to this tale to teach us about morality?

Well, just so that we’re on the same page, being gay is the attraction, not the “act”, which can be several different things btw. And before I came out, I was heavily depressed and anxious. I felt condemned all the time. But G-d changed that. I met G-d apart from who the Church taught. Now, when I did come out, I was in a position of hurt from the Church. But when I came back, I realized through much prayer and my own research that G-d made me exactly who I am. Now, whilst the Church has their idea of what being gay is like, many are dead wrong. They have plenty of misconceptions. But I have a purpose and it doesn’t consist of the evangelical ideology for me

Read up on ancient roman history and you'll see he's talking about exploitative, lustful behaviour.
But rom 1 fails to describe someone like this guy who is brought up in the faith and grows up only to find they're ghey: no rejecting God, idolatry, abandoning natural desires, inflamed with passion, or filled with evil. So many gay friends of mine believe they can’t be Christian and gay (unless they choose a life of celibacy) and so they live outside and yet are religious, but in a self-loathing way. There needs to be more videos on this to help people to realize that being Christian is a relationship and you can have this relationship and be gay and actively loving in the world.

Thank you so much for posting this vlog. I’m subscribed to your channel, but I never knew you posted this one? I too was brought up in the church, and come from a fourth generational United Methodist family. I never wanted to hurt my parents, and for so many years I have had to deal with this issue? One of the reasons why I am not into the entire gay scene is because of the way many gay men and women view God and religion? I could never do that! Then I too came across Matthew Vine and started reading his news letters and articles. Hearing you speak brought relief and comfort knowing you’re a man of God. I used to tell others why would I even select this difficult life style? There must be a purpose in our being? It’s no wonder why I like your vlogs! Be well Joel and be safe. Alex from Los Angeles.

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them". I am a Christian my self and yes God loves gays however he does not accept them into his kingdom. Gods idea of sexual intimacy and relationship is a beautiful thing and is intertwined throughout scripture. This idea is simple, Genesis 2:24 says "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh". key words MAN, TO HIS WIFE, not man to his husband. There is not one scripture that affirms a homosexual relationship, it is SIN. Furthermore you said that 'getting saved' isn't based on what you do but the relationship you have with God. That is partly true. It is based on your Relationship with God, but then the question is, can an active serial killer 'get saved' if not why? if you would say that he can't get saved because he is disobeying Gods law (you shall not murder) than I ask you, isn't a homosexual disobeying Gods law? if a serial killer is liable to judgment why isn't a gay? In-fact everyone deserves death for we are inherently evil; but it is through the blood of Jesus that we might be saved. But that does not mean one can do whatever it want's and still receive eternal life! I'm sure this is familiar, James 2:17 "So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." yes you might believe in God but without works, without doing what the lord wants you to do ones faith means nothing. It doesn't matter if the serial killer believes in God or has a 'relationship' with God because faith without works is dead, his faith means nothing because he murders against God's law; just as a homosexual commits sexual sin against Gods law, faith without works is dead.

I am very young, and I can tell most of my family is homophobic...and the other day I saw this tiktok and this Women was talking about how she was a Christian mom and that it is okay to be gay and it helped me come out to my friends. next day my bff created me a pride room, and my sister asked me if I was gay I said no because I was afraid and then she said okay just making sure because if your gay, you go to hell and I started shaking and I couldn't stop shaking for the rest of the day, But I believe if you love God with all your heart and know he is you savior then you will be saved all God asked us was to believe in Him to follow him to love Him with even single inch of our hearts and know that we are only safe through Him, and He knows everything before we even do it. He created us if He's just gonna go send us to hell for being then why create us at all, my mom said if you believe in God and believe He is your savior then you're saved. To all of the young, old, any age people out there who are confused who think they can't be gay because people say you will go to hell if you're gay well this is what I want to tell you don't live in fear of what people say if you really think its going against God then ask Him, my mother told me just go where ever God takes you so if He's taking you down this path its because it was meant to be you're strong and beautiful and if you believe God is your savior and if you love Him with all your heart then you will be saved just block out the voices of people who say you'll go to hell for being gay and ask God about it and talk to Him you'll know the truth if you just ask Him and if you ever need someone to talk to I am here for you. I'm not a believer of any kind, but I've always found it strange when certain Christians go on (negatively) about gay people. If you're a Christian, that means you're a follower of Christ, and as Joel said, look as hard as you like but you won't find a word from him condemning gay people. He was very condemning of hypocrites and people who hold wealth too high, but those same Christians seem not to have very much to say about that. If people want to quote Leviticus or St Paul, it would be more honest for them to set up new religions and become Leviticans or Paulians, then they can condemn as much as they like.

However, u don't need Jesus to spell something out for it to be clear it's not in His wishes. From Genesis to Revalations it's clear that marriage is between a man and a woman and that fornication is a sin. HENCE, you can infer from here that homosexual acts is probably a sin as well.

As a Christian, I struggle with sin in my own life on a daily bases... like every other Christian on this planet, I’ve yet to make it through a day without screwing up at least once in some form or fashion. But my sin has never caused God to turn his back on me or love me less, and it has never stopped me from striving to follow after him. Jesus blood is enough to cover ALL my sin. It is not a Christians place to judge or condemn anyone (think about the story in the Bible with the woman caught in adultery and the religious leaders of the day took her out to stone her. Jesus stopped them and said let the one with no sin throw the first stone, not one religious leader was qualified to do it.) Jesus also told people to take care of the planks in your own eye before pointing out the speck in your friends.

Sorry, but you need to repent. You can't be a gay Christian any more than you can be a Christian adulterer, or Christian bank robber, or Christian kidnapper or on and on. Here is what the Bible says about homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22 says, "Do not have sex with a man as with a woman; that is DETESTABLE. Romans 1:27 says, "In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed SHAMEFUL acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." 1st Timothy 1:10 says, "... sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality...and liars and perjurers-and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine." 1st Corinthians 6:9-11 says, "Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." This is where a Christian who really believes the Bible to be God's word, must warn the homosexual what God actually says about homosexuality. If you love the homosexual, how could you possibly not warn him/her about what they will face on Judgment Day if they don't turn to Jesus Christ and repent (walk away from sin.) That goes for adultery, lying, stealing, drugs, drunkenness, and every other sin God warns us about. Also, every single verse about marriage is ALWAYS between a man and his WIFE or a woman and her HUSBAND. NEVER a man and his husband or a woman and her wife.

    • @jdparamount92
      @jdparamount92 4 роки тому +4

I’m a translator, scholar, and linguist, so I can explain that perfectly.
Ok. So firstly, 613 commands in Torah is based on the foundational 10 commandments. The command of “Do not commit adultery” is from which the other “sexual ones” derive.
Secondly, your quote is a misquote of the KJV, which is altogether a horrible rendering of the Hebrew Masoretic and Greek Septuagint text of the Old Testament. That verse actually says, You are not to lie with male as in the wife’s bed. And another passage says similarly, A man is not to lie with a male in the wife’s bed. Basically, it’s speaking of a man committing adultery with a male prostitute in his wife’s bed.
You see, when “man” and “woman” appear in the same passage, it’s speaking of a married man and his wife. It’s ancient text, so it can’t be read like a modern one.
Also, after Yeshua (Jesus) talks about marriage in Matthew 19, He talks about 2 different types of eunuchs. One of which, a “born eunuch” was under in that day to be a gay man.
I can provide more info, but that’s just the gist.

Do you see something as right or wrong based on something so fragile, something that is placed by humans and can be changed at any time and place? People will always argue over laws and policies. The purpose of Christianity is not to develop a set of rules but to develop a relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. God and the Holy Spirit will lead us to not want to do unloving things, but to pursue a live of love and service toward others. Religion is man made, a human attempt to define and understand God, and as such is always flawed. Jesus did not mention homosexuality in particular. Neither did He talk about pedophilia. But He did talk about "sexual
immorality" and "fornication". All forms of this fall under "adultery" (the 7th. commandment). The Bible condemns homosexuality, lesbianism, and all LGBTQ community life styles. Here are the scriptures that confirm this:
Leviticus 18:22 / Leviticus 20:13 / Romans 1:27 / 1 Corinthians 6:9 / 1 Timothy 1:10 / Jude 1:7 / 2 Peter 2: 6-8 / Revelation 21:8 / Revelation 22:15 . You are not a born again Christian, if you are not obeying God's commandments regarding this sinful lifestyle. It has nothing to do with feelings. Feelings are fickle. Either you believe God's word fully or you do not believe it at all. There is no in between. You must repent, and turn to Jesus alone to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

But that passage fails to describe someone who is brought up in the faith and grows up only to find they're gey: no idolatry, no abandoning natural desires, no inflamed with passion, no filled with every kind of evil. Nothing matches, so I think people have misunderstood Paul because of a superficial similarity.
I think some people think that the old testament rule against some same-sex practice was talking about boys but I don't think so because both parties were subject to the death penalty so it must have been consensual. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle " is because there is no need to catogorize heterosexuality with such descriptively inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconciously justify contempt and hatred through the stone of subjective comparison.

From the beginning God designed marriage and the sexual union is exclusively for marriage. Also, if you believe you can disregard all the teachings of the apostles in the New Testament you are fooling yourself. Any sexual activity outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin. We are all sinners by nature. If we simply say, “God made me this way”, as a license to practice sinful behavior, we are blaming God for our sin.
