- Opening Day 2021 At Waldameer Park In Erie, PA!!! Weekends With Wallie & Kayla Ep. 85 - 5/29/21. Enjoy a tour around this old amusement park that never fails to entertain! Always adding new attractions/rides, Waldameer has something for everyone to enjoy! Suppose you don't want to ride anything but would still like to walk around the park or enjoy a day here, admission is FREE! Just pay to ride by paying for individual rides or by buying a day pass or season pass! Located in northwestern Pennsylvania right at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park, you're on Lake Erie's lakeshore and you can get some great views from the tops of the taller rides!

8:37 That exact Diner actually used to be here in Butler, PA in Summit Township YEARS AGO where the BHS Crossroads medical office complex (former Morgan II) is at now.

Hey Wallie ... I know you usually visit abandoned places but occasionally visit places that are still open and/or events. You should try and make the Canonsburg 4th of July festivities this year. Supposed to be back full up. (COVID shut it down last year).

Erie folks were very saddened when the owner (at that time) of Waldameer, in the late ‘70s/early 80s, sold the original carousel horses in order to save the park from bankruptcy.
Attended the ‘goodbye to the PI’ Penninsula Inn bash in 1987 before it was torn down to build condos. The PI was formerly Sara Coyne Restaurant. Interesting history to Google.
The first roller coaster went over the highway, however was closed due to a death. Looks like the current coaster is well-secured over the road.
Rainbow Gardens is awesome. The original RG burned down in the 1920s.
They used to have glow in the dark, color figures painted on the walls in the dark train tunnel.

They used to have a wipeout at kennywood but it closed and moved to another cart, paratrooper left kennywood after last season :(, and kennywood also used to have a Ferris wheel, but the wipeout is at Kennywood, and there’s a music express to,
